They have a coffee bar, delicious looking desserts, grab and go drinks, warm candied nuts, chips, gelato, etc. There are a ton of low carb options as well. You will easily find something. Pricing is a little more than normal, but typical for inside of a casino. They have small area of tables and stand up tables as well. They keep the line moving, the employees are friendly. My boyfriend and I stumbled into Tazza Cafe Delizioso at Harrah's Casino. We each grabbed a cup with two scoops of gelato. I went for raspberry and mango, the raspberry was delightfully tangy with bits of real freeze-dried raspberry. The mango was so smooth and tropical, and there was an actual piece of mango hiding in there like a juicy treasure. Real fruit in my gelato? Yes please, and thank you. Gabriella, the gelato queen behind the counter, made the whole experience even sweeter. She cheerfully handed us samples so we could taste test our way to dessert bliss, all while flashing a smile that felt as genuine as the fresh fruit in my cup. It is open 24hrs. I usually come to Atlantic City with my Hubs, but on this visit, I was here for work. During my lunch break, I walked around to see what food options there were, and I was disappointed to see that a lot of it was fried fast foods (Chicken Guy, Bobby Flay Burgers... no shade, they are delish, just wanted something lighter). I knew there was a cafe just past the lobby, but I remembered it being closed for renovations. I'm glad to see they have reopened. Everything looks new, and there's a little bit of seating outside of the cafe. I only wanted a light bite since I did not want to be sitting in a talk during the convention fighting off food coma, so I opted for the Tazza teeny, a mini brioche sandwich. I tried both the ham and cheese and the turkey club; both were the perfect size if you want a light lunch under $15. It was nice to see that they had salads, fruit cups , and even whole fruit (apple, banana) available for purchase. Friendly and quick service. Stopped by the cafe as it caught my eye with how pretty colorful and vibrant it looked. I love the bright colors and display of food, the place has a very nice happy vibe to it which is eye catching and theres seating outside of the shop (still indoors) a few feet away where you can eat. This cafe was located right next to our hotel tower. We decided to get coffee and a cheesecake there. There is a ton of food options from breakfast sandwiches to gelato to pastries. The cheesecake looked so tempting and it was a pretty big slice too. There was a layer of cheesecake in there as well as strawberry and frosting. The cheesecake layer was amazing (the other layers were ok). We ended up getting the gelato at this place as well. They have three of them at all of the Caesar's location (Tropicana, Harrah's and Caesars). They are laid out the same. The one at Tropicana let us try the nuts and we ended up getting them. Do not that the comps are 2:1 and not 1:1 so you will be spending double the points which somewhat sucks. I ended up getting a bagel sandwich for $10 dollars. It had egg ham and bacon. I walked passed this store, and developed a sudden craving for a gelato cone, prompting me to join the queue. I was surprised to find that the store's policy required a minimum of two scoops per order rather than a option of a single scoop. The woman taking our order exhibited a rude demeanor from the moment we started to place our order. She avoided making eye contact and even rolled her eyes in our presence. I chose to disregard her behavior and proceeded to order a plain cone with two scoops, which amounted to a total cost of $9.61. The same lady who took my order was also the same person scooping my ice cream into a cone. However, she struggled to balance the second scoop on top of the first and immediately dumped the whole thing into a cup, crushing the cone and handed it to me. To my astonishment, she quickly walked away leaving me in disbelief. My intention was to enjoy my ice cream while holding a cone. I find a problem with management. 1-Selling expired food products: a) I pointed out that all of their many (3 liter?) tins of olive oil they were selling were expired by six months. I came back the next month. Those same olive oil cans were being sold. But they had covered the date with a white sticker to conceal it. Shame on them!!! 2- I bought a pint of milk on June 7th. Took it to my room. I looked at it. It said, "sell by June 5th." 3- I bought a container of cut watermelon. Took it up to my room and opened it. Every piece contained the white part of the inner rind. I throw that away when I cut melon! What a disgrace to sell it to unknowing customers. By the way, I'm comped. It's such a huge improvement from what was there in the past. It's another Tazza location like the one over in the lobby at Ceasars. Why only 3 stars? Price. You are definitely paying casino rates here. Be prepared for sticker shock but since you are gambling away your money in AC this should come as no surprise. The gelatos we had were pretty tasty, and the coffee was actually pretty good. It is fun to sit in the faux patio area and watch the freak show walk by in the lobby, especially on a weekend night when all the guidos, guidettes, club kids, and Jersey Shore wannabees stumble by. Since there is not that much open late at night in Harrah's this is a decent choice if looking for a sandwich or some dessert. If there mid-week this is probably your best bet. read more
