Where other contractors canceled appointments, arrived late, or were just no-shows - Mikel (out of their Hudson office) arrived on time and did a thorough assessment of the roof including taking drone footage. He sat with me and walked me through the whole process clearly, explaining all my choices in materials and didn't push any product or add-on. I did receive marginally cheaper quotes, but they did not leave me feeling like my home was in good hands in the same way that Mikel did, and I felt the extra money was likely to be worth it. Once I decided to go ahead with them, again, everything was done very professionally. I was kept informed of times and everybody showed up exactly when they said they would. I made a small change to the scope of the work in replacing additional plywood sections of the roof, and these were easily accommodated on short notice. On the day of the work, the crew showed up on time and Jurgan (the site foreman) kept everything moving with minimal disruption to us. I was working from home, and my wife and kids were in and out of the house for school and errands. Despite replacing the entire roof of the main building and two additions over approximately 9 hours, there was minimal disruption to our days. The house was protected during the work, and even with snow still on the ground, their cleanup crew constantly walked the property picking up and disposing of any debris, nails, old material etc. Ultimately the roof was replaced successfully and looks good. Every step of the job was explained to me, every question answered, and every decision explained. The team was professional, punctual and courteous throughout. A couple of weeks in and we've had snow, rain and strong winds. Everything is still perfect. I can highly recommend Mikel and Jurgan from Golden Group, Hudson.

We signed a contract in March of 2021 and he did not finish the project until April of 2022, a single bathroom remodel. In the course of demo for remodel, his crew cut through pipes and live wires. His crew attempted to conceal the issues by wrapping painters tape around water pipes, which resulted in flooding my downstairs. His crew left expose live wires with painters tape on them as a their fix and left my house in a potentially dangerous situation. Upon me expressing my concerns, he threaten to walk away and drop the contract. I was forced to continue the project, due to the fact he had caused more damage, than he made improvements at that point. He would constantly attempt to cut ever corner he could in rectifying it. Other than some unqualified laborers, he has no one on his payroll, he is simply calling contractors you could call yourself, with little to no planning and scheduling. This resulted in large delays between each phase and most sub contractor were so frustrated with him, they did not want to work for him. If it wasn't for constant calling and emailing him and his sub contractors directly, managing the project on our own, it would have never got done. What work him and his actual crew, of unqualified laborers did, was sub par and leaves us questioning what I did not see. I have not even finished expressing how bad every aspect of this project was, do not believe a word he says. I wish I could give negative stars. Even then he could have said your whole roof needs to be redone , but he suggested a patch would do the trick. I recently discovered I had yet another problem with the roof again. It was near where he worked on it. I thought maybe I should call Jon. We have a mutual acquaintance who told me Jon was incredibly busy. Not surprising. I also have seen advertisements for Uxbridge residents on Facebook and Instagram. I figured he may have had to limit his area and that he was more than likely inundated with various roofing jobs. I thought maybe my job would be way too small for him. I had a 6-8 ft section of my roof that had gotten spongey. I have huge icicles that slam down hard on the roof as well as ice dams that I try to keep ahead of. While shoveling snow off the roof this past winter I discovered the problem. I still had his name in my contact list so I decided to give it a try and text him. I told him the problem, and that it wasn't an emergency. I also told him I had a vacation and wouldn't be home for a week. As soon as I got home I got a text from him the next day saying that he'd come and take a look at it. He did! After his assessment he said he'd get to it soon as possible. I wasn't expecting that to be 3 days later! He sent some of his crew and they put a new piece of plywood , roofing supplies, and new shingles and made it look like nothing ever happened. They were here for about 3 hours. I texted him to say thank you and to let me know what I had owed him. Let's just say what I thought I was going to have to pay , His number came WAY under what I had expected When I told my wife that we're gonna have to deal with the roof, she said are you gonna get a few estimates ? I said "no I have Jon Rigali!!! " And these days when customer services is sometimes sorely lacking it was refreshing to have such an amazing follow up , dedication, and a feeling of confidence that whatever I needed, roof repair , new roof, etc that Jon will take care of it !!!
