Originally I had him install a water main shutoff and I liked him so much I had him replace the main stack and rough in plumbing throughout the house. From this point on I realized what a lousy businessman Randy is. During his initial time here giving me an estimate he told me he would get the necessary permits and I don't need to worry. When you call R and R Plumbing you will reach Randy's wife Dawn. If you call there in the morning she will answer the phone, but is always pre occupied talking to her crew and complaining about how busy she is. If you call in the afternoon Dawn may or may not answer and if she does she is "away from her desk" and may or may not return your call. Randy was very quick to say he could find a better toilet that I could buy in store. I said ok great do you have a picture because I don't want just any toilet? Nope. "I will have the guys pull one out of the box and have Dawn send you a pic" That never happened. Even after asking a second and third time, I said the hell with it and found one myself. Moving along, I wanted a washtub installed in the basement and it was the same line as before. "I can find you one way better than you can find in the store" Okay great get me one. That never happened either. Not only did Dawn keep sending me an invoice for $100 or so that I had already paid and previously disputed, I repeatedly asked her for my current invoice. She said I should have gotten it but she would "look into it and get back to me" As you can probably guess by now, that didn't happen either. I had to call her again to request it be sent again AND ask her about the permit Randy said he would get. I had to ask because by this time I was fed up and hired a new plumber. This is where the story takes a nice turn. I have never done a renovation before and it would have been nice to be told that I needed to have an inspection done by the city. I am guessing he didn't mention it because he never got the permits they told me they would. When I called him out on this to Dawn she gave me some lame story about how she rubs elbows with the people that work for the city and its "actually not a big deal" She told me worse case scenario I would get a small fine, no big deal. Obviously she doesn't have an attorney because mine assured me that was NOT the case. Moving along, she LIED to me AGAIN on the phone and said Randy just took care of it. She asked if I would like to schedule more work and I said no thank you. After having a quality plumber look at Randy's crappy work he rolled his eyes and said "this is not good" The main stack had been hacked so many times it looked like a kid took 50 pieces of random pipe and glued them together. After telling the new plumber what I was doing in the bathroom he said he has know idea wtf Randy's plan was but he would have to redo all his work. This included replacing the stack again and properly roughing in the bathroom with the rest of the work I needed finished. He pointed out pipes glued together crooked and even broken fittings. I wouldn't recommend Randy to work on ANYTHING! Call ANYONE besides R and R Plumbing. I wish I had, it cost me THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS!

Afterwards, I had concerns about how to properly clean the grate, as there was no accessible panel. A representative from Bob's confirmed that the grates are not removable and advised using a product called Nu-Calgon Evap Foam No Rinse to clean the condensing coil. Earlier this year, Matthew's Heating & Cooling inspected and cleaned my furnace. They determined that the condensate drain had not been installed in a workmanlike manner and strongly advised against using the cleaning product mentioned above (see attached report). To date, we have identified at least two furnaces that experienced this same issue. I scheduled a meeting with the condo board president and a representative from Bob's Heating. No one from Bob's showed up for the meeting. I would urge any resident living at Richmond Terrace to use another vendor when replacing their furnace.

On July 7th we had Blount come and do some repairs to our furnace pending the sale of our house…read more Tech came to the house and my husband asked if he needed to stick around while he worked on the furnace and service tech said no. On July 13th I come home to a Blount business card on our door asking to call them. I also talked to my real estate agent and she said Blount left her a message and the buyers real estate agent saying were not paying our bill. She forwarded me the voicemail. I reached out to Blount on July 13th and left a message with their answering service and spoke to them on July 14th. They said their service tech waited around our house for 40 minutes expecting to get paid for his service on the 7th. #1 it was never relayed that their service was COD. #2 it was never relayed to my husband on the day of the service how much was owed. We would have paid on the 7th if we were informed of that. Blount said they called the phone # they had on file for us and it was disconnected. We have had them done work for us in the past and they had our landline on file that has been disconnected for years. I called and made this appointment and provided my cell # and I emailed them a couple of times regarding this appointment. It's not my fault they are not updating their records with my current contact information. They had NO RIGHT to call and tell our real estate agent and the buyers agent telling them we are not paying our bill. I will not recommend them. If they think it's ok to do this type of business practice, no one should be doing business with them

The techs diagnosed the problem, which was rather difficult because it was a wire that was chafed through outside. They fix the problem and were great to work with. This is my first time using K Kelly heating and cooling. I will be calling them first if I have problems in the future.

A few years later the starter in it did burn out and their 24 hour emergency service person was prompt and had the part needed. The other day we thought we smelled gas in a small wall heater that is in our porch so we called them; they came right out to check. Turns out there was no leak (they did a thorough check) so we were happy about that. They also replaced our heating/ac unit's filter. Very professional, helpful, answered questions/concerns. We haven't used anyone else, nor quoted anyone else since then. This past weekend I noticed an odd smell and soot buildup on the exhaust vent for our furnace. Since it was a Sunday in February, I called WE Energies first. The WE rep measured the CO2 at the exhaust and told me that he would need to shut our furnace down before he left, and recommended that I call my HVAC contractor. Modern Sheet Metal had someone at our house within a half an hour. He told me which furnace he would recommend and measured for the new unit. Since it was a Sunday, we scheduled the install for Tuesday. He then left three space heaters with us to keep the house warm. Monday morning's temp was 15 degrees outside, 64 inside. As I was preparing to leave for work at 7am, my phone rang. It was Modern asking if it would be okay to install the new unit that morning. The guys arrived before 7:30 and had the new furnace installed by 10:00. They also left the work area cleaner than when they arrived. Absolutely recommend them for your heating and A/C needs.
