Tim Rausch did the plumbing in my new home, which I am very happy with. I'm now finishing my…read morebasement and I hired Tim for the job. They did a great job, coming out to my house during an ice storm. Painting of my basement caused my Water Heater to shut off due to a flammable vapor sensor - I just got done texting back and forth with Tim regarding the issue and he got me back up and running! Excellent customer service and he will be my only plumber from now on!!!

We called first thing in the morning, and Danny arrived in less than an hour. After a thorough inspection, he phoned Tim, the owner, to share his findings. Tim took the time to personally come over, confirm Danny's suspicions, and collaborate on a plan to resolve the issue. They even coordinated with Caden, another team member, to assist with a specific step of the repair. Our home is older, and we discovered that our kitchen piping had been slowly eroding in the basement crawl space for years before finally bursting. This caused sewage water from our sink and dishwasher to seep into our concrete cinder block basement wall. Within hours, the Rausch Plumbing team had completely re-piped the entire system and provided helpful recommendations for potential restoration work. These guys were outstanding! Hardworking, professional, and genuinely kindhearted. Their level of service and respect was unmatched. My husband and I even joked that Danny was so great, we could imagine inviting him and his family over for a backyard barbecue! They clearly explained the problem, laid out the best course of action, and provided a quote upfront--then came in under budget. Same-day service, extra manpower, and the owner himself taking the time to ensure everything was done right? That level of care is rare. We cannot recommend Rausch Plumbing highly enough. After sharing our experience with neighbors, we weren't surprised to hear that Tim Rausch and his team are the only plumbers they call. We now understand why! John & Angie Luck

Then when we got it and made adjustments, there were multiple mistakes. I was quite upset when WE had to call the city inspector to see how to make a bidet pass code, not them. Worst of all they do not have a catalog to choose fixtures from, they do not give you prices of items you choose and the lady told me up front that we need to find our own vanities because their installers don't like moving "furniture "!!! He had to buy over half of our fixtures on our own because they could buy them or were going to charge us MORE than the retail price!!! Avoid this company at all cost!!!

Northside True Value lost me as a customer before I even purchased anything. The experience of…read moretrying to buy something from them online was bizarre and it's a good example of how communication skills and good customer service skills are so important in business. They had an item (chainsaw) listed on eBay that I was interested in but I had a couple questions that I needed answers to before I bought it. So I sent a message to them through eBay. I received a response that was so illiterate that I simply couldn't understand it. I only had three questions. 1) Did they happen to have the same chainsaw but with a longer bar than the one listed on eBay (they are an authorized dealer for the brand)? The chainsaws are exactly the same but it can be ordered with several bar lengths and I wanted a longer bar. 2) If they had it with the longer bar and I ordered it directly from them would it still include free shipping as the one on eBay? 3) Since I was ordering from another state, would I be paying sales tax? The response I received didn't answer any of the questions. It just said they had the chainsaw with the shorter bar. So I wrote again to the email address listed on their website and I received a reply from Jay Vanevenhoven who I believe is either the owner or the manager of the store since his picture is on their website's home page. He informed me that they didn't have the chainsaw with the longer bar. Despite that, I was about to order it with the shorter bar when I decided to read the entire eBay listing. The problem was that three detailed item description sections in the eBay listing said it was a much smaller model chainsaw of much lower value. I figured whoever made the eBay ad simply goofed but I had to ask. So I emailed Jay again to make sure that I would be ordering the correct chainsaw. What I received was a short, blunt response in all caps. Here's a cut & paste of his response: "IT IS WHAT THE TITLE SAYS IT IS" But most of the detailed description said it was a different, much smaller chainsaw so my question was an obvious one. Now, maybe Jay simply isn't aware that typing in all caps is the internet equivalent of shouting and considered poor etiquette but I suspect that he was just irritated that I asked a perfectly legitimate question. I responded by saying that if he was buying something but the details of the item described a completely different item, I would guess that he would ask for a confirmation that he was buying what he thought he was buying. But apparently that made Jay angry. Now I had to decide if I would buy an expensive product from a company whose boss gets mad when you ask a him a very simple question. On top of that, one of his employees is apparently illiterate and should either learn English or NOT respond to customers in writing and another employee can't answer three simple questions all of which could have been answered in a single sentence. I don't think so. This experience was NOT a good example of customer service to put it mildly.

Eventually I brought it back in there to get the problem fixed that they created and they charged me $48! I brought in a perfectly functioning snowblower and it was returned to me in worse condition. No apologies. No efforts to bring down the price or give store credit.
