A great option for Thornhill for a cold beer with iced glasses and $20 nachos + extra fir protein. Well, if you're stuck waiting for a Viva bus, and you want a beer, and there's nothing else…read morearound...anyway, that's why I went in. The place is gorgeous on the outside and inside. I imagine the patio must be great in the summer. Yonge Street is close by, but Canadians become immune to carbon monoxide is summer because we throng to any outoor space, and rhe patio is further back than many downtown Toronto patios. The vibe inside is "moneyed gastropub". Glass and wood and UK heritage. The menu is huge, so a bit of a red lag, and more like a chain pub than a gastropub. FIghting off my PTSD from the last time I ordered a non-deep fried fish from a pub, I ordered the salmon with a side of mashed potatoes. The server seemed a bit nervous, so I ran down my mental checklist. Shaved in the morning? Check. Showered? Check. Wearing clothes? Check. However, she was efficient, so no real complaints. The salmon arrived with a surprisingly nice presentation. It didn't smell like fish, so my PTSD subsided. It was a bit bland at the start, but as I got further in, the seasoning on top were quite pleasent. The peppers underneath were from frozen, and the mashed potatoes were from flakes, but it wasn't bad. Prices were at the level of any GTA gastropub. I imiagine this place is really popular with the locals, especially in summer. I can't say it's a destination, though, as there are so many pubs with the same design choices and vibe to choose from, and some have limited menus to focus on what the chef does best. But, if you're stuck at that bus stop and want a beer, I'd recommend it!

Both are non-negotiable and always hit. We still like to switch it up sometimes, and this visit we tried a few different dishes: * Kataifi-Wrapped prawn tempura: crunchy, and the wasabi mayo was my favorite part. * Nagasaki Champon with ramen: cozy and comforting. * Grilled Squid with butter: simple and done right * Beef Brisket Yaki Soba: savory and satisfying, with bonito flakes doing their little dance on top. * Karaage: coming from someone who doesn't love greasy food, this one was not greasy at all and still juicy inside. Lowkey missing their grilled beef intestine though Great highball selection as well. We got the peach highball for the one who likes sweet, and the yuzu highball for the one who likes sour. I went with the Snow beer Sapporo, topped with shaved frozen beer. Such a nice way to keep the beer cold without diluting it. Service here has always been amazing, whether they're busy or not, and that's a big reason why I keep coming back.

We went here to try the highballs since there is not a lot of places that have it. So we were excited about that. But man! The food is so good! It was so hard to choose a dish between 4 people. We chose 3 and we left satisfied. We will definitely come back to try more dishes. I would suggest come early. Parking is hard there being on Yonge Street.

What a vibe it is in here!…read more Ambiance in here is great with lots of unique neon signs. I love that there are these big patches of grass like plants that they use to separate each table, giving more privacy to everyone. The drinks here are definitely the highlight, since they're so beautiful and tasty. Can't remember the name of all the drinks, but just know that every single drink that was ordered at the table as so beautiful and so delicious. Really can't go wrong. The only thing that you need to avoid is their shaved ice dessert. It's literally chunks of ice with kellogs cereal. I was thinking it would be more of a bingsu texture but was quite disappointed. It didn't cost much and it's not known for a Korean bar to have this anyway, so just take it a tip not to order this one thing. Everything else was great and can't wait to go back!

The food selection ranges from bar favorites such as skewers and army stew to comfort food classics in Kimchi Fried Rice and bulgogi tacos! Their marinated raw shrimp is also a great dish that pairs well with soju and is best enjoyed with rice! The bulgogi tacos are very refreshing and is a great appetizer to share with friends! The service was very smooth and pleasant as the wait staff were accommodating to my friend's dietary restrictions and our requests. I honestly can't wait for my next visit!

1 Star - The Twisted Toad: A Drag, Not a Show…read more Walked into The Twisted Toad on a Friday night expecting live music and maybe a little magic. Instead, I got the kind of silence that makes you question your life choices. No music. No ambiance. Just me, my date, and the sound of our expectations dying slowly. We ordered jerk wings. They were lightly breaded, which was cute, but the flavor? Saltier than a Grindr breakup and spicier than a Scorpio with a vendetta. I couldn't tell if I was eating chicken or being hexed by a Caribbean warlock. The chips came in bulk--some crisp, some soggy, all emotionally unavailable. It was like dating in Toronto: promising at first, but ends with you staring at a pile of disappointment wondering what went wrong. Then came the wine. Served with fruit flies. Not metaphorical ones. Real, buzzing, winged creatures doing laps in my glass like it was a gay pool party. The server offered to scoop them out with a spoon. A spoon. I've had more respectful offers at bathhouses. My date paid for it just to end the horror. I wanted to love this place. I wanted it to be quirky and bold and full of flavor. Instead, it was like a bad hookup--awkward, unsatisfying, and you leave feeling sticky and confused. The Twisted Toad? More like the Crooked Frog. Ribbit ribbit, run.

I thoroughly enjoyed all the days, sunsets & hours spent at the driving range practicing This place is just beautiful & so conveniently located close to home. Special shoutout to Sal for going through the extra trouble of locating a more suitable club for me when I wasn't really happy about the one they initially gave (& also bringing it right up to me at the range!) The driving range is pretty spacious & there are plenty (although it does get more crowded later on in the day). There are a few target practicing flags on the range as well.
