The cut was $9 and I tipped the student $6 as I was very satisfied. This place is clean, has young passionate barbers, and good prices.

I had one of the most unprofessional experiences of my life at this school -- specifically due to…read moreNancy Lopez. I scheduled an appointment to get my hair braided. I arranged childcare and missed work for this appointment. When I arrived, the front desk staff (not the person who booked me) realized there had been no communication about needing to wash and blow-dry my hair before braiding. I explained that Nancy had never informed me of this, and thankfully the front desk kindly honored the original quoted price. After my hair was washed and blow-dried by Christina, we were about to start braiding when Nancy stormed in and abruptly demanded that the service stop until I paid extra for the wash and blow dry. She was loud, rude, and dismissive -- even putting her hand in my face when I tried to explain the miscommunication. She told me not to speak because she was "talking to her student, not me." She then touched my hair and began making discriminatory comments about its length and thickness, saying that it would "cost more" but refusing to give me an exact price. Instead of resolving the issue, she escalated it, argued, and ultimately instructed the student to stop the service entirely. When I asked for her supervisor, she claimed she was the boss and the supervisor, blocking any accountability -- until I insisted and was finally able to speak to the actual administrator, who was kind and understanding. This unnecessary conflict wasted 25 minutes of my appointment, leaving the students pressed for time and forcing my service to be cut down to 2 braids instead of the 4 I had booked. I want to be clear: the students and instructors were professional, kind, and compassionate throughout this. The only problem was Nancy Lopez. Her behavior was unprofessional, hostile, and completely unacceptable in an educational or customer-facing environment. I will be reporting her to the board for her conduct. If you book services here, please know the students are talented and respectful, but the administration -- at least under Nancy Lopez -- is another story.

The students were very friendly and interpersonal. One student was too sleepy and teasing my hair and hurt my scalp 3x which was frustrating. But the teacher was careless and had an attitude. Just her technique and watching her go about teaching the students seemed careless and unprofessional to me. I had an allergic reaction the next days and informed the school. THIS SHOULD NOT BE OK! I asked to see their products 3 times and they said they would and end up not showing me the ingredients which is shady to me. This is a careless practice. The female teacher had the audacity to gaslight and make up reasons for why this would occur. Next time, DO BETTER and have COMPASSION, learn from your customers and learn to listen, not to answer back. If that was you, youd be upset I cannot recommend this place.

Once I was on the table, the facial was quite short/hurried. Admittedly, I only paid for parking for two hours and told the student I had to leave by 2:30 PM. She finished at 1:50 PM so I think I could have had more treatment time. She also told me she would give me a hand massage but I never got it. My skin feels great but I had product all over my hair..a little messy. :) The room is crowded with multiple student and customers. Definitely NOT relaxing... but I get it, this is a school, and customers are like guinea pigs. So, just keep all of this in mind... cheap, and you get what you pay for! I learned a lot of other "common sense" stuff that I didn't think I would get out of CPR training. Chris uses his own life stories and also real life examples to supplement his lecture. He's also very funny. I would recommend it if you need to get CPR training. You can complete the certification for all ages in a bit under 3 hours (other places could be 6-8 hours). In an attempt to clear up a 20 year old DUI with the DMV (it was already cleared with the court…read morelong ago) I was discriminated against because I am not religious. When I paid for the class, no mention was made that I would need to attend religious indoctrination in the form of a Christianity-based "12 step programme". When I discovered what was going on, I immediately reached out to Maria Sanchez, the director of this facility. She admitted that she was aware of the problem because other atheists and those with different religions had expressed deep concern over this requirement. She told me that she was looking into alternate, non-religious courses and that she would get back to me with an answer within a few days. She never did. I attempted to contact her numerous times over the course of the following weeks, but was told every time that she was either "out" or "in a meeting". Eventually I received a notice from the school stating that I had been removed from the class due to non-attendance, because I refused the religious indoctrination, of which proof of each meeting was required before being allowed into the DUI class each week. They also lied to the DMV and claimed that I had dropped out of the class instead of being forced out due to my status as an atheist and Taoist. If the DUI school and DMV don't have to respect anti-discrimination law, then I'm not sure why anyone should have to respect traffic law.
