The firm is large with two locations, so the frustrating thing is that all calls go through a call center first. The admins are not all friendly either. However, the lawyer we got assigned, Jonathan, was great. With his years of experience in dealing in the specific city our issues are in, he was able to give insight into our questions, instead of responding with the generic, "I don't know, I would need to do more research." Their retainer is on the high side though, but with his level of expertise, we would feel more comfortable choosing Bornstein over another firm. We're really glad we found Bornstein. read more

The biggest liar in the business. I was completely blown off after paying this guy. He doesn't return phone calls, didn't file papers when promised, was sanctioned by the court for not showing up, and didn't pay the fines to the court for abandoning his client. Case # RG20078529. I was promised lot's of results and got nothing but more legal trouble and tenants who stayed for a year of hell, and no eviction. Jonathan Bornstein is such a liar. We were so disappointed by the law firm to be so unprofessional. We paid dearly for the service which was not rendered. After a couple of months the attitude changed . He stopped returning email, phone calls and even missed conference calls. He filed a case and we were hoping to get result soon. That is what he promised us that case would be over by the year end. Then later on we found out that he was a no show for the case but we were kept in dark. He never told us the reason.He told us the case was over in Dec 2022 and he was to send us some documentation to sign so he could submitted to the court to finalized the case. To our surprise he lied to us.When we question him his response was I thought the case was over. ?? Now after a year of hassle, expenses, and emotional stress he put us thorugh we have to look around for another attorney to take over and clean up his mess. We heard many excuses from him ,not enough staff, being busy with jury trail, was out for action, was out for religious holiday, staff called sick etc. He pick and choose who to response to.
