Such a unique hotel! I just recently stayed in the Boro for the second time, and loved it even more again. The rooms are very simple and have all of the necessities, but the views are absolutely beautiful. The check in process is very quick, and the staff is some of the nicest and most helpful group every time. The amenities for a small boutique hotel are great including happy hour, coffee in the morning, a gym, an excellent restaurant downstairs that offers room service and a rooftop in season!!! Highly recommend for a stay, and the hotel is only a 10 minute car ride into manhattan!

This minimalist hotel was a great find for us we stayed 5 nights and were pleased with the room. The staff was gracious and kind and took care of us during our stay. There are two perks daily and that is a complementary coffee bar in the morning and a wine hour in the evening. There is a Beebe's restaurant that is located inside of the hotel so you can purchase pizza. They even have dairy-free cheese available. We picked this hotel for the awesome New York City Skyline view but the neighborhood had a lot to offer. There were several train stations, restaurants, laundromats ans deli's within close proximity. If we stay again I will definitely get a room with a tub.

This hotel is not as pictured online so don't get your hopes up - it's very minimal, but not in a designed way, it rather has prison vibes. Concrete and raw wood everywhere, even the terrace was just steel bars which hurt to stand on. The hotel doesn't have any amenities, no mini fridge, no kettle, no coffee maker, and the TV would only go to one channel. If you want room service, okay, but they won't charge to your room - they ask for a credit card and go downstairs to swipe it and return it back to you. I have never experienced such a thing at any other hotel before. It's general shabby looking like it's never been kept up. Also, the general area around is pretty sketchy with a lot of creepy, drugged out people. Positives: it's dog friendly, and if you are on the west side you have a nice view of Manhattan. But I do not recommend staying here unless you have no other options.

Im not sure if I love or hate this hotel.. I booked it on hotel.com and when arrived it was almost $90 more than the online reservation which was annoying to say the least. Its about a three block walk from the subway station which isnt bad for getting in and out of the city. Check in went quickly and we were off to our room. We were only on the second floor so it wasnt an amazing view but a nice view of the city none the less. The attached restaurant was nice and a great place to have a quick drink and snacks after a long day of travel to NYC. The room.. well the room was very bare bones.. the floors were beautiful and the bathroom was HUGE with the biggest walk in shower ive ever used with amazing water pressure. The bed was super comfortable and I slept so well the few nights we stayed. The windows were HUGE which allowed for so much natural light and if anyone knows anything about it me its how much i love sunlight. Otherwise it was just a room, nothing fancy about it. It actually had weird paneling on the wall with the TV that didnt seem to fit into anything else.

Corner units have two windows and a decent view to the east. This hotel does have rooms that face west into manhattan. Restaurant in the lobby is good. Buffet. Standard fare. Laundry. Workout and meeting space. The bar is well attended in the evening and the bar staff seem friendly, flirting seems to be well tolerated. Getting a Lyft can be a challenge in the morning. Literally everyone who came out of the elevator at 7:30am was calling a car and the congestion out front was heavy. There is a parking garage and walking paths. Like most of the larger New York area, there is food and coffee and groceries and whatever nearby. We have negotiated rates which make this even more attractive. There is a small Parklet out front so some nice green space. A bike path and pedestrian path as well so go for a walk! It's a good stay.

The location is honestly incredible for the price point. You have two different metro stops within walking distance, so we could get to Times Square or down to Brooklyn in about twenty minutes flat. For anyone driving in, getting here is a breeze compared to the city center. The hotel doesn't have its own parking lot, but I managed to snag unrestricted street parking nearby without much drama, which felt like a massive win. We booked a balcony room and I was surprised by the actual square footage. By NYC standards, the room felt generous. It was super quiet and the bed was comfortable, which matters most to me after a long day of walking. That said, the building went up in the 2010s and isn't exactly brand new anymore. You can see some wear on the carpets and scuffs around the edges, but everything was spotless so I didn't really mind the cosmetic aging. The neighborhood is really coming into its own with all these new buildings and trendy spots. The real highlight for me was the food access. You have Utopia Bagels nearby for breakfast and the concentration of amazing Asian restaurants in this pocket of LIC is a huge plus. The staff at the front desk were super friendly every time we walked by. I would definitely book this again for my next city trip.

This hotel was more in my range, and getting to Manhattan on the Subway from here is super easy. It's also very easy to get to Laguardia Airport from here using just the Subway and a free MTA bus shuttle; on a Saturday afternoon, I was able to go from checking out of this hotel to the bag drop stations at Terminal C in less than an hour for $2.90. There are many small shops, cafes, and eateries within easy walking distance of this hotel. The neighborhood has a busy professional vibe with its share of tolerable urban sludge. My room was clean, it was suitably sized (especially compared with what you'd expect across the East River), and we liked our beds. The shower was great, but there's something wrong with that toilet. It sometimes doesn't flush, and it only works when you hold it down for like five seconds. I wish they had a proper co-working space. They have meeting rooms you can only use if you pay extra, so if I didn't want to do my remote IT work from the small desk space in my room, I had to sit at a table in a hallway that had some noisy traffic to contend with. I visited their restaurant a couple of times and wasn't particularly impressed, but the nearby bodega had lots of great stuff and is open 24 hours. We got some great sandwiches there at 2am. It's just two doors down. Overall, if I were doing a trip like this again I would probably stay here again. There are elevated trains pervasively snaking through the area, and I wonder if their sounds would have bothered me if I were closer to the ground, but from the 9th floor it was "pleasant background noise to fall asleep to" level.

We spent 30 minutes looking for a space to park, 7-10 minute walk on super busy secluded street, with a lot of unsavory foot traffic. Check in was smooth. A nice young lady assisted me, and assisted us w nearby food options. We walked into our room... welp, you'll see the pics. Overall, the faults w the room could be addressed and fixed. It really needed tlc, clorox wipes, and fabuloso. Nothing heavy. I went to the front desk within 45 minutes of checking in to express concerns. The desk person who checked us in, ensured someone would come up to the room to address my concerns. There was an awful scent in the room, wet toothpaste on the bathroom wall, hair around the toilet (eww), dirty wallpaper, poorly patched ceilings, thick patches of dust, substance on nightstand, dirty bedding and towels that reeked of mildew, and more. A male employee knocked on our room door to inspect. He told me the bathroom walls couldn't be cleaned, after watching me clean a portion of it. He told me the room could not be cleaned further. He went as far as to blow the dust. I was not amused, and he didn't blow all of it. I was so upset, I called customer service as soon as I arrived home on the 22nd.
