She relocated to Syracuse, NY and opened a Fried Dough stand at the market. She looks a little different though. She has a new husband and her daughter helps her out and they're really, super friendly. Anyone would think she had nothing to do with Eminem and that the daughter wasn't actually Hailie. But we know better. It's her. What to get: Fried Dough for $2 What else: I think my Dad's gone crazy I had the lemonade too, which was $1.50 and just okay. But let's focus on the star attraction. This is some of the best Fried Dough I've ever had. If you're up in Da Cuse and you want some Dough, this is the place to go. It's absolutely delicious and it's enormous! Basically for $2 they give you a huge long stick of dough (way bigger than even the biggest thingy, since you asked), and it's piping hot, greasy, juicy, fresh, delicious, and absolutely covered in cane sugar. I adore it. I'm not the biggest fan of some fried doughs, but this one is right up there with the best of them. It's made in a lot of places in WNY and CNY but I don't think anyone in this region makes it as well as Kim does. I'm so glad she left Eminem and opened up this place. And it's great that, at $2, you don't need a lot of Dough to get the Dough. So in the words of Homer Simpson: Dough!

My favorite is simple.....their delicious homemade refried beans with cheese and a side of their slightly spicy red sauce. They also have a small variety of conchas, pan dulce, aguas Frescas, kolaches and tres leches cake. The owner and her husband are such nice people and I frequently run across town, like I did today, just to grab some tacos.

I ordered two of the breakfast Tacos, one with eggs and cheese, and one with beans, both wrapped in a flour tortilla. My egg and cheese was delicious so full of fluffy eggs. I ordered the green sauce and the red sauce and they are both absolutely delicious, though the green has more heat. There is a line, but it seems to move quickly. Many people were there buying the fruit drinks in pouches. There were so many flavors available and they seem extremely popular. They reminded me of adult versions of Capri Suns. Everybody at the standard or very upbeat and friendly and seem to enjoy interacting with the crowd. There are two tables next to the stand so we were able to sit and eat. I can't wait to try their lunch menu at the Syracuse farmers market when it opens.

I dream about this place…read more Our second year coming in late September for a city escape, Flossie's came highly recommended by my buddy who visits often. I'm sad to say that I don't remember what we got last year, just that we loved it. So of course, we had to repeat again this year! And oh man, it did not disappoint. I didn't want to eat with my toddler because I did NOT want to share. I gave him a few fries because he could smell them but there was no chance he was going to touch my sandwich. Hubby got the Texan brisket (special and the last one!) and I got the chicken pesto panini. My wonderful husband offered to do splitsies and ... well, he only got a couple bites. Sadly, because of said toddler and infant in tow, we couldn't eat it there when the fries were fresh so they were a tad sad when we finally sat to eat them. No dock on Flossie's - that's our fault. I'm certain they would have been amazing fresh! All of this to say....if you're in the area or planning a visit, make sure you stop by. You won't be disappointed. Unless they're closed...that's why you need to plan your schedule around their opening hours. A second location is opening in Belleville ... kudos to Flossie's for making their dreams happen! Sorry for not taking a picture of our sandwiches. Like I said, I couldn't wait. It was very much a GET IN MY BELLY moment.

First things first, their menu is mostly pictures so it would be good to ask about ingredients if you have any food intolerances. There may also be off menu items so feel free to ask their pleasant staff. Most of the items don't have prices but it's generally around $20 pretax. It's a bit pricier than expected but the food and environment makes up for it. We tried a few of their sandwiches and they were all juicy and flavourful in their own way. It's all packed with a healthy combination of high quality ingredients. The burger was cooked to a nice juicy medium rare, and the sandwich breads were toasted perfectly. You have the choice of the usual sides, but the coleslaw definitely stands out with a creamy and sweet but well balanced profile. The outdoor seating is an absolute boon for a spring/summer PEC visit. Enjoy the shade and the gentle breeze as you bite into your juicy sandwich!

Rancher's Choice NY BBQ & Grill has been many things: A meat and seafood home delivery business, a…read moreretail store and most recently, a full restaurant and event space. But the menu is more diverse than you might expect - along with barbecue and steaks, the regular menu includes several seafood and pasta dishes, burgers and barbecue sandwiches, wings and fried appetizers. Rancher's Choice has been on my list for a while in my search for great BBQ in CNY. Recently stopped with some friends for lunch but unfortunately, it was a let down. We had a reservation just in case, but it was 1PM on a Sunday, so we were sat immediately - 1 or 2 other tables sat. Our server was with us immediately. My wife and I ordered a 2 meat platter to share with smoked kielbasa, brisket, smoked mac & cheese and onion rings. One of our friends also ordered a platter, while the other, who's a pescatarian, went with shrimp scampi. Our food was brought relatively quickly and mostly everyone felt their dishes were just okay. Our 2 meat platter had small portions (for 2 people, maybe that's on us), all our meats were cold, a small squirt of BBQ sauce on our meats, and our smoked kielbasa and smoked mac and cheese had no smoke to them and just tasted like normal offerings anyone could have prepared. While we know most of the pricing when it comes to BBQ comes along with the labor involved in preparing it, what was served to us simply wasn't worth over $30. With only 1 or 2 other tables sat, we didn't feel there was any reason for our meats to be cold either. Our server was great, personable and attentive. Don't think we'd give it another chance.

That's something you don't see much of any more. Very fresh. Servings are large and meat is flavorful. I ordered a two meat platter, with beef and ribs. I have never had ribs so meaty and flavorful! A home run. Sides of Mac and cheese and Cole slaw were okay. I loved the corn muffin that comes with the meals. This is a friendly place with a nice environment and wonderful food.
