I was very tempted to go with a meatball sub but this was going to be a car dinner and no one needs a meatball on the floor or sauce on the shirt. I landed on the Sub on a Club - honey ham, turkey, bacon, Monterrey Jack, and the fixings. It took a bit longer to prepare than I anticipated but I think the wait was worth it. The bacon was freshly prepared and the sandwich was served warm - nice! The person checking me out and the sandwich maker were very welcoming and friendly. I always appreciate that at 8 pm on a Thursday night. The sandwich was excellent. Nice mix of meats, crisp bacon, and their deli mustard had a nice flavor. They have one of the Coke Freestyle machines if you like to full alchemist with your drink choices. Conveniently located on Route 11 and near a 481 on-ramp, Firehouse Subs is a nice spot to hit when your sandwich alarm is going off.

While the signature burgers range from $16-$18, they have at least 10 different burgers on the menu alongside plenty of other options. We would definitely ask for extra dressing/whiz on our next order, because they were disappointingly dry. It seemed like an oxymoron to order Whiz Wit and have it come out dry. With that said though, all the ingredients were amazing. The bread is light, pretty much a full on sub roll. The meat was tender and tasted legit. Nothing weird, stringy or clearly frozen. The Smokey Horseradish Dijon kind of got lost in the shuffle. Same meat as the philly, but the mild kick from the mustard didn't really match what a focus on cheese would have done. The chicken cordon bleu was solid. The minced chicken was actually pretty moist. We added cherry peppers, which took it to another level and I would now never go without. Minced chicken is hit or miss for me, but I rolled the dice for chicken cordon bleu and hit the jackpot. CrisPi's pizza is a tavern style pizza, which is thinner. Much thinner. CrisPi's signature "thinny thin" pizza starts with just 9 1/2 ounces of dough stretched into a 14-inch shell. A traditional New York-style pizza of the same size uses about 19 ounces. The wings are breaded, something very few other pizza shops in the area do, making them "crispier". CrisPi also offers an "upside down" style pizza with the sauce on top of the cheese, and also offers a traditional style crust pie and traditional, "naked" wings without breading. CrisPi has been getting a lot of attention lately being a newer restaurant, so I decided to give them a try. Every now and then, I get a craving for breaded wings, so I was excited to give them a try. For my first order, I just went with a traditional style pie with pepperoni, and then an order of breaded wings with garlic chili parm sauce. My wife and I were not impressed, for the most part. We found the traditional style pizza to be lacking in flavor all around, to the point where it almost tasted like a pre-made pizza. The wings were large and the sauce was very tasty, but we did think the breading was too thick. I usually give places 2 tries before writing a review, unless the food is ridiculously good/bad right off the bat, so I decided to give CrisPi another try yesterday. This time, I tried a meat lovers CrisPi thin pizza, and got breaded wings again, but with zesty lemon pepper sauce and I left the sauce on the size. I enjoyed the thin pizza much more.
