The technician did not identify her role and did not say that if she did an exam, she would be charging me. They had me do a whole bunch of stuff and frankly I don't know what was supposedly the refraction. The ophthalmologist did many of the same things. I got the impression that money was the big priority in this office.

I…read morehave tried everywhere and the lenses are always the thinnest for my prescription (which is pretty blind). I have tried Lens Crafters twice and consistently get strong night glare from their lenses and much thicker lenses. At both places I selected comparable products for the lenses, and JC Penny was so much better. JC Penny has their own lab and they do a fantastic job!! Lens Crafters is about an hour, much more expensive, and lenses are not as good. They have a pretty good frame selection at this location as well. The staff is AMAZING, very helpful getting the best price. They are also great at adjusting and fitting glasses. I would STRONGLY recommend JC Penny optical without hesitation. Only complaint is they don't have a nice selection of sun glasses frames, and only seasonally.
