She looks like a feral hyena and needs serious grooming IMMEDIATELY! My good friend swears by Woof and their groomers there, and he's taken his dog there for many years. So I called and booked an appointment (they were able to see me in a few days' time), and I was pleased with the whole booking experience (even got a reminder text the day prior). My appointment was for 9am and, unbeknownst the me, the place opens at 9am, and I was early (I always give myself extra time when going to a new place. This dog salon was easy to find, on 1st, right by Cypress, and there was a lot of available parking on the street at this time. Meters don't require payment until 9am, too, so that worked out nicely!). I walked my dog around the area (lots of grassy areas on the side streets. Unfortunately, no trash cans for disposing of the doggie bags, though). I got to Woof's front door at 8:50am and, despite it being closed, someone inside saw me and opened the door to let us in. That was really nice! I met Yuki and Verana (?sp) and they were super friendly, and I briefly went over my dog's history (she is elderly and has Addison's and other..issues). I gave them a few photos of past haircuts my dog had that I liked. I was told my dog would be ready in 1.5-2 hours, and they would text or call me to let me know when she was ready. I received the text 90 minutes later, and when I arrived, I have to say, my dog never looked better! Seriously, what a phenomenal haircut! (I'm posting a few pics so you can see!). It wasn't cheap (in my experience, no dog groomer here in Van IS), and in fact, cost about $5 more than my regular groomer. But Woof's turn-around time is shorter than my usual groomers' (and this is important, for a stressed-out senior dog), and they really have the personal touch here. Even though my regular groomer is a few blocks from me and I walk there with my dog, I just might have to switch loyalties here, I liked Woof so much.

The guy in charge has never acknowledged me once, I thought it was maybe just his personality at first. If I ask him a question he usually responds I don't know and makes me feel like I am inconveniencing him. One time I asked if a product was made in Canada and he said probably. I bought it and went home and it said product of china in tiny letters on the packaging. I ended up throwing it out because I was worried of the actual quality of ingredients. Just know what you need before you go there. Don't expect knowledgeable staff or good customer service. Location is good and convenient as there are a lot of dog owners close by.

It is sweltering HOT inside the store which makes it unpleasant to shop in, certainly not a place you want to wander around in and browse for additional items. There is one fan and aside from the summer heat there is also the heat from the refrigeration units. Any good business should know a golden rule is treat your staff well and watch your business grow. Instead the staff are stuck in this hot store which can't be fun, doing their best to help customers, who are grumpy from the heat outside and inside the store. PLEASE get some decent air cooling system for the many folks in this area who come to shop "local" but will start huffing it up the hill to an air conditioned a chain store next time to comfortably shop for all their pet supplies. Your customers want changes and for the staff to be treated better or we are going elsewhere.

The place had a doggie door and the sign stated pets were welcome. It had a warm welcoming feel to the store. I saw the brand I was looking for shortly after I arrived. I was really happy to find the size I was looking for as well ( I didn't want to have to haul around a huge bag with me ! ) Looked around a bit more, but didn't see much ferret stuff there ( we feed the ferrets high quality kitten food ) But wasn't surprised. We were cashed out by a nice lady then on our way.

The interaction isnt the same, was told about shifts in staff. I expressed the concern to the new manager who seemed unbothered but his personality doesnt really fit the neighborhood vibe. Good luck if your store stays open with the new manager and stale staff. Disappointed.

I walk in to get a big cat litter pack (like 28lbs, throw it over your shoulder kind of bag). The (I assume) manager (maybe owner) was standing near a till that had what I assume a tech contractor working on...I only noticed after I asked if this register was open, and manager/owner said "of course!!!" I didn't realize the tech guy bc usually this location has both tills open, which they also did prior to my recent visit. They ring up my bill then ask me if I need assistance, and of course I politely decline bc I am parked in the free lot around the corner, a bit of a walk but hey, free! Am I right?!?!? The manager/owner says "not a problem! Our lot??? Let's go"! The cashier grabbed the litter pack like it was styrofoam and proceeded to walk out with me honestly like a 2-minute walk with a heavy bag. We chatted & he was like "I don't mind bringing things out to cars because I get fresh air and sunshine", then I'm immediately taken back to my years of working retail, vying for any chance to do a carry-out (or even garbage run) bc you get "outside, RL time". Well, both the manager/owner (?) and cashier were absolutely lively and I will 100% keep coming back here for my pet's needs as A) Free parking, and B) Best staff & management ever!!!
