So it turns out that Boss hired a guy named Phil for customer service. Smart move on their part. Phil reached out to me!, came to my house, and actually called me back. Phil was able to assess my damage and get me an estimate - which for my troubles was no charge. Truth is they did a fantastic job on my cabinets but their customer service was infuriating. Now that they have that under control I would recommend using them because they really do nice work. If you need anything taken care of call Phil. Great guy! So as an update.... Boss did the right thing and fixed my cabinets. In the end I'm extremely satisfied. Great idea for them to hire a customer relations person. He got the job done and done well. read more

Let me start off by saying that before we decided to go with Boss we did A LOT of research & shopping around for kitchen cabinets (HD, consumers, ikea, Amish country etc)!! After spending 7-8 months doing an entire house reno, we waited about a year to complete the kitchen- it needed to be perfect.....and I'm so happy to say it is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! I met Peter & the Boss team at a local home show & immediately felt good about setting up an appt. They are incredibly knowledgable, so easy to work with & most of all, talented. After several other consultations, I already had a good idea of the kitchen design I wanted, but Peter did an amazing job at improving the layout & design even more! He added all the little details I felt I was missing from everyone else. Andrew, who was amazing, came to our house not only for the initial meeting/measurements, but upon delivery to consult us the installation (which my husband did himself)- it was a total life saver!! Did I mention that the quality of the cabinets was 100% solid, top of the line & beautiful! Needless to say- I am very happy with our decision to go with Boss. Oh and if you're wondering about cost- they were not much more than HD or Consumers & by far a more superior product!! We will certainly work with them again in the future. read more

I purchased a home with a dated kitchen and layout from HELL. Peter and Andrew's vision created me a kitchen that was beyond anything that I could have thought of (and my architect as well). It was simply elegant, functional and stunning. Product: The product is made in the USA. The cabinets are well constructed and are custom made to fit your kitchen. The finish is beautiful as well. Overall I am very very pleased with the craftsmanship. Price: Competitive, reasonable and pleasantly surprised. After the Boss designed an elegant kitchen, Peter tallied up the price. I was nervous that he was going to provide a quote of $50,000. But the price was less than half, approximately $21,000 for my large kitchen. Of course everyone's budget is something that is personal. But keep in mind another well known kitchen cabinet supplier here on LI for cabinets made in the USA with the same design from Hell provided me a quote for $25,000. (PLEASE DO NOT COMPARE THIS PRICE TO CHINESE CABINETS - YOU CAN'T, I HAVE USED CHINESE CABINETS IN THE PAST, (3 TIMES) AND HAVE GOTTEN WHAT I PAID FOR EACH AND EVERY TIME). Please keep in mind also that many other places simply cannot provide you with a "new, fresh, tasteful design". Peter and Andrew's drawings to me were worth a few thousand dollars because that is what an architect would easily charge. read more

This place is very nice, beautiful with impressive kitchen showroom and yes they have theyre own in house shop and they tell you that there is no middle man and how your going to save so much money, which got us excited initially. The problem is they make theyre prices much higher than anyone else. We were gonna be charged $13,000 and another estimate $18000 we said forget it. There are other places to look. They tell you other cabinets out there are junk and will fall apart like theyre made in China, just a scare tactic. In the end we went elsewhere. We had our kitchen completely redesigned by Boss, and are so happy with the results! They worked with us to make sure everything was how we wanted, and made helpful design suggestions that resulted in a beautiful, functional, brand new kitchen. 9 weeks later my "custom" cabinetry arrived in the wrong glaze more of an Orange or Terracotta then my chosen Mocha glaze. Andrew the owner was a nightmare to deal with he denied any wrong doing and said the color I received was in fact the Mocha and refused to change it, all I can say is thank god I had a sample of what my cabinets where supposed to look like in the correct Mocha glaze. After days of frustration and literally arguing back and forth he agreed to correct the mistake (never actually admitting fault). Following that, we found that one of the base cabinets was 4 inches to short (we requested a bakers height of 29 inches in our "custom" 31,000 dollar cabinetry) it came in at 25 inches, Andrew told me to correct this that I should just add 2 additional slabs of granite (again not his fault) and wanted to charge me an additional 800.00 dollars for a new cabinet. Then upon installation we found that there was a mistake in Andrews "in home" measurements (he failed to take into account that we would in fact have new tile flooring and not a wood sub-floor) once again not his fault, On top of these 3 major issues we received things we did not order and did not receive things we requested (for instance pull outs in all lower cabinets). The cabinets are of very low quality and by far do not look custom, honestly in my opinion LOWES had nicer cabinets. read more

This company is the worst. Shortly after our kitchen cabinets were installed they started chipping and peeling. They sent someone over to "touch them up" on 2 separate occasions. They continued to peel and chip and they sent someone out last June to look at them. He said it was from water getting on the cabinets. First of all how do you avoid water in the kitchen and secondly it's not as if we spray water all over everything. When he left he said he was going to give a report to the owner and he wanted to make things right. I guess his definition of right was not to get back to us and ignore our emails and phone calls. Next stop NYS Attorney General and the Department of Consumer affairs. read more

We found Boss at the home show at Nassau Coliseum. We made an appointment to attend an informative workshop and got some great tips on cabinets. We had their designer (Effie is fantastic!!!) come to the house, and after speaking with us to find out about how much we use the kitchen, she designed a beautiful space for us. We committed to the design, and the manufacturing process started. They said we could expect the delivery in about 8-10 weeks (which I was a bit skeptical about since I know manaufcturers are famous for being delayed in their delivery) but they delivered on time. The cabinets are beautiful, and I couldn't be happier. We did have one scratch (we're not sure when that happened, so it might not even have been their fault) and they were very quick to respond and make the necessary repairs. They returned every phone call I made, and even worked closely with our installer to make sure everything for the installation went smoothly. I would recommend them highly. They even took care of ordering the countertop and backsplash for us, and coordinating the countertop installation. I think they are worth every penny we spent! read more
