I love Greywood Kennels. My wife and I used to board our two corgis at another place that shut down unexpectedly and we were in a panic to find somewhere to board our dogs for a vacation. We stumbled upon Greywood Kennels and have been using them ever since. The staff here is so sweet and I think they truly like our dogs. When we drop them off the staff knows them by name and when we come to pick them up after vacation everyone always comes out to say goodbye to them. In the past we had only boarded them for a few days at a time, 2-3. But we had a long trip planned and they were amazing. My wife called a few times to check on them and they only said nice things about them and told us about how good they were getting along with the other pets and humans there. We also add in a grooming appointment on the day of pick up so they are nice and clean when we get them. In past experiences of dropping off our dogs they seemed hesitant and nervous at other places, when we bring our dogs here they run straight to the back with excitement and that both melts my heart and makes me a little sad that they are so excited to stay here (lol). They also offer to feed the dogs with their own food and give you the option of dry, wet or both. We always use their food (half dry, half wet) and they feed our dogs in the morning and in the evenings. We also have to separate our dogs while eating because one of them gets a little food aggressive and Greywood has never had a problem doing this for us. I've boarded my anxious little terrier mix here three times now and she does great and comes home happy and exhausted! She loves making friends with all the employees and hanging with the little dogs outside. They also trim her nails for me and offer updates any time I want to check up on her while I'm gone. I found Greywood after visiting several other groomers in the area. At one place I was yelled at because my dog was peeing on the floor. I was so upset I refused to leave my dog. Another place shaved him all the way down leaving red bumps and razor burns. Thank goodness for this place. From the moment I walked in I was made to feel comfortable. The staff greeted my dogs before greeting me. They did an amazing job grooming my dog. On top of that I have a second dog that hates to have her nails done. Got a tour of the place a couple weeks ago and I was appalled at how underworked EVERYTHING is. Yes, the prices are lower than most but I would never board my dog or cat here. 1. The kennels look like they were built and repaired by a group of 10 year olds. Fence wires poking out of almost every kennel, the hatches looked horrible, holes in the fences, there was a hole on the floor big enough for a dog to get it's paw stuck in, etc. 2. My cousin's dog contracted severe kennel cough after staying here not long after I took the tour. (They had an active outbreak and they kept accepting dogs?) 3. Where they keep the cats is just sad. Small room in small cages built out of PVC pipes with little ventilation or sunlight. They stay in those cages until they go home. 4. Rat poop in the downstairs area.... 5. In my opinion, out of the 12 yards that I counted, maybe 5 were acceptable yards that I would put my dog in, the rest were just small concrete "yards". 6. The kennel room has a left and right side, dogs who are lucky enough to get placed on the right side of the room have an outside portion of their kennel that has sunlight and a breath of fresh air, if your dog gets put on the left side of the room however, the "outside" portion of their kennel is a small, dank and dark lane with zero ventilation and no sunlight whatsoever. 7. There was A LOT of unnecessary stuff lying around. I felt like I was walking through a hoarder house. 8. I could hear a dog screaming while it was getting its nails trimmed...should be trained on animal behavior as well, I don't think they care/know much about the stress/trauma they induce. That's my main takeaway of the tour. I'm sure the employees love the dogs and they were very welcoming, but the owner should do some MAJOR rebuilding/repairing/organizing to their "facility". I'm not sure how they are able to pass inspections, if any. read more

My dogs Stout and Stella love this place, they get excited when we drive into the parking lot, always happy and clean when we pick them up. Looks a lot better recently as the new owners have done a lot of upgrades. There is even a bull on the roof!! How cool is that! I was so nervous leaving our Petunia and I was scrambling for a place for her and we were so lucky to find this gem of a place. Everyone i asked were either booked or required being spayed, expensive to start with. I was impressed how affordable they are, they were easy to talk to and when i saw their place, they designed it in a way where it felt like home for dogs. It was clean, they have spaces to play, their boarding area did not feel like they were all locked up in a sterile area. The place felt homey and the staff were warm and inviting. For $35 per day, there were no additional fees for taking a picture and updating me when i asked them via text. The owner was very nice to us and was loving to our dog. In the pictures and videos, my petunia was wagging her tail happily and it made me feel secure leaving her in a place where it felt somewhat like home. read more

What a wonderful place! I started taking my elder dog here for daycare about 3 months ago while our home is under construction (hammering sounds like thunder-SCARY!). She had separation anxiety the first week since she is not used to new environments. The staff was super thoughtful and matched her with playmates to hang out with.... they also told me she likes to swim (I had no idea)! Once construction is over, I plan on continuing to take her here for the enrichment-she likes all the attention and new friends. She has been here over 40x's, the pricing is reasonable, and staff is always friendly-even when they are swamped. They provide tours if you want to check the place off before boarding/day care. They have tons of enclosures, staff is constantly cleaning, indoor/outdoor kennels, water/pools/tubs, AC etc. Very happy with Greywood Kennels! read more

The first time I came here it was awsome they did a great job on my 2 dogs thought I found the perfect place was even recommending it to my friends but last week I brought my dogs in for a 10:30 appointment didn't get them back until almost 4pm my daughter picked them up for me when she brought them home they shaved off my dogs mushtas me and my daughter told them please don't shave it and also she wrote a note on paper saying not to than I noticed they shaved almost all the hair off my dog and I looked at her chest and she has bald spots! With extreme pleasure I'd like to share my experience and highly recommend GreyWood Kennels! I had to urgently find a good boarding place for one of my pups, I called around, but only when I spoke with Sheila and her Team I've experienced the feeling of comfort and trust. This was my boy's first experience with boarding, so it was quite frightening for him at the beginning, but the Team did an amazing job taking care of him with love and attention. My Mars was able to spend there 2 weeks ( one week after his surgery) and Sheila and her Team made every effort to give him a great care and keep me informed every single day. Whenever they could they've sent pics and videos of how he is doing that made my heart very happy! This Family business is like no other, you can tell that they take pride in what they do, most of them are pet Parents themselves, so they communicate well with the dogs and their Families ! This is the only place I would leave my dog when I'm in need of a kennel. I've tried other kennels but she was not happy when I picked her up. The staff at Greywood is friendly and they are attentive to my dog who has special needs. They give her the extra attention she requires as she is an older dog with health issues. I have been using this kennel for about 8 months now... The staff is friendly and Emmie, my pit bull, seems to like it but today I had a customer service issue that made me change kennels... They charge $14/night to board animals under a certain weight, 35-40lbs i think, and you bring your dog any time after they open the 1st day and must pick them up by noon the last day... If you put you animal in day play which is bringing them after opening and picking them up before closing and it is $10... Their policy is to charge $14 if the pet is not pick up by noon, why not $10... I understand that there maybe different procedures to caring for a pet in day play as opposed to boarding and it the owner just doesn't show up you assume the pet will be there another night and charge the $14, but if the owner calls and asks to switch to day play and pick the pet up late, why not let them? I go to this kennel at least 2x/month and often board her for a few days at a time... You would think that after talking to the manager they would understand why I feel like I am being robbed since if I physically picked her up and brought her back they would charge the $10, but they wouldn't even hear my side... Just kept repeating "it's our policy!" ... I told her well then I guess I wont be bringing Emmie back she said fine... So I picked her up and the manager didn't even come out to talk to me... I told the employee that the policy makes no sense and because of it I wont be bringing my dog back... Still no manager... It isn't about the money, since I will be paying $11 more per day to change kennels... It is about the fact that I feel robbed to pay $4 more for a service than it normally costs... It is like being punished for boarding the pet... read more
