I could not say better things about Philly or the training and boarding services he provides. From…read morethe very first time I reached out, Philly's kindness, professionalism, and humility were evident, and the way he took the time to explain his training philosophy, services, and pricing with complete transparency made me feel genuinely comfortable. There was never any guessing or confusion - just sincere, open communication that showed how much he truly cares about the families and dogs he works with. We recently boarded our two dogs with Philly while we were away on a family trip, and I can't express how relieved and reassured I felt knowing they were in his care. Philly went above and beyond. He created a group chat for my husband and I to streamline communication, and we received consistent check-ins, videos, and the sweetest pictures. You could see it in our dogs - they felt happy, safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. That kind of peace of mind is priceless. Philly is an exceptionally talented trainer, and his passion for what he does shines through in everything he does. He has such a natural, intuitive way with dogs - patient, gentle, confident - and it's clear that this work is not just a job for him, but a calling. He treats every dog like family, and that level of genuine care is incredibly rare. If you're looking for someone who is skilled, trustworthy, and deeply committed to the well-being of your doggos - someone homegrown, family-oriented, and wholeheartedly invested, Philly's the person you want in your dogs' lives, especially when you're away. We trust him wholeheartedly and plan to board with him again in the future! Thank you again, Boss Dawg K9 Training!

Katie was professional, patient, and very knowledgeable. She explained everything clearly, tailored the training to my dog's needs, and gave me simple steps to follow between sessions. I saw real progress quickly, and my dog is calmer, more responsive, and much easier to manage day to day. If you are considering dog training, I highly recommend Wolf Girl Canine Club. A neighbor recommended Katie of Wolf Girl Canine Club on Nextdoor, and I decided to give training one more shot. Boy, am I glad I did. Katie worked magic with our sled dog. She now expects to play the "heel game" on every walk, and when we run out of treats, she still stays right by my side. What a difference. Walks are now a joy, and the carpal tunnel that I didn't know was caused by the sled dog has eased. I loved how Wolf Girl Canine Club approaches training with kindness and patience - no choke collars, shock collars, or harsh reprimands. Our sweet but stubborn girl heeled because she wanted to. She adored her friend Katie and looked forward to the training sessions. And, while she had suffered from abandonment issues with the other trainer, by the second lesson, she was ignoring us and happily setting off with her new friend. Katie also kept us up to date with photos and even training videos so that we could see er work and follow-up on her progress. This extra effort really helped us stay on track. I recommend Katie and her methods without reservation. Wolf Girl Canine Club will be our first step with future fosters. And, frankly, I cannot wait to see the next transformation. I am so grateful to have found a kind, effective, and thorough trainer.

Once to tell me the dog would be done in 35-40 minutes an hour in and the next to call me 5 minutes after that time was up to tell me that she didn't do the nail trim that was included with the service and that she was leaving for the day cause her shift was over. My dog was there for 2 hours, I don't understand how she didn't have time to complete it. She said my dog was being wiggly and that's why it wasn't done. I literally pay to bring my dogs here so that I don't have to trim their nails myself. I don't have the ability to do it at home. I am disappointed that now I have to take my dog somewhere else and pay more money to complete a service I already paid for. She was gone at 2:02pm when I came to pick up my dog and there were other groomers there that could have completed the groom if she needed to leave so badly. She also tried to upsell me on a Furminator package that I didn't order and now I think that's hilarious because she wouldn't have had time to finish it anyway.

I am not sure what direction to take this review but suffice to say, their pricing in the Grooming Salon is highly suspect and potentially great substance for a class action lawsuit. Only a couple of years ago the nail grinding was a flat $15 and no need to make an appointment. They had a grooming package that they use to call a "top dog" that was between $35 and $40. Today I took the same dog that I have been taking there for 15 years (a 12 pound chihuahua minpin mix) Buddy, for a nail grinding. I was quoted $19. However the groomer Adan, said that if the dog nips it would be an additional $10. I told him that he was known to nip but the last groomers said he was getting better. Adan said that the grinding should take no more than 10 min. I also told Adan that if I had to pay $29 for a nail grinding that it would be the last time I would be a customer there...when I returned to get Buddy (7 minutes) my first question was, how did he do. Adan said he nipped a couple of times then settled down. He also mentioned Buddy didn't like the sound of the grinder. Duh???? What dog does? I left a $2 tip and thanked him then realized that I was indeed charged $29. For a nail grinding. When I asked Adan why, he said it was because it required him to not only grind the nails but trim them as well and that is why he charged an extra $10. Who makes these decisions? I never agreed to a special treatment and Im sure somewhere in the paperwork it stated that the ultimate price is subject to the whims of the groomer depending on how much he feels he needed to make. Though the Manager refunded the additional $10. And said she would speak to the groomer, I told her that never had I ever had to pay $29. For a nail trim for a dog that has had at least 100 in the last 10 years. Total BS is what my wife called it and I tend to agree. Regardless here is the bottom line to this epic review......across the street within walking distance is a PetCo whom I called as soon as I got home and asked what they charge for a nail trimming or grinding. They said it doesn't matter what ya call it the cost is $12. I also asked how much a full spa treatment would be for a dog including wash, nails, ears, and anal glands....the young lady said between $35 and $40 bucks. THIS IS HOW EASY IT IS FOR A COMPANY TO LOSE A LOYAL VALUABLE 20 YEAR CUSTOMER AND GO ACROSS THE STREET TO THEIR COMPETITOR. INSANE!!!!!!!!!

Bark Busters came to us highly recommended. After some research and reviewing Ted Talk and…read morearticles, I signed up our two rescue mix breed ~20lb boys. We are grateful to James of BB who placed us with Jenna. Our boys issues: high reactivity outside, especially other dogs, and inside, door bell, ring cameras, etc. Coupled with greetings by jumping and owning the house. Jenna set us on a path of activities for inside and was incredibly patient letting me share and ask questions, learning constantly. As we fine-tuned and we all got more comfortable we moved our training to outside. The methodology used is absolutely amazing and, I dare say, short of a miracle. We practice regularly and introduce the boys to different circumstances. All that food luring and positive food reinforcement training certainly has its place but only the techniques of BB with Jenna has helped our boys become trusting, comfortable, and happy. Here I thought I had to scan the horizon constantly to be aware of incoming dogs to prepare myself to hide behind a car or go in the corner behind garbage cans to get maximum distance. Not true. I walk no longer with my head on a lazy susan. We all are forever grateful. Our boys can lead richer more social lives. Thank you!!!

As first-time dog owners, the early support really did help us. Having someone we could call during those overwhelming first months was a relief. Over time, though, I realized I was hoping the training would shift toward more positive reinforcement. The constant, harsher corrections worked at first but eventually didn't seem effective anymore and started affecting my relationship with Mimi. I noticed this during a family trip where Mimi, who is usually fearful of strangers, bonded more easily with my husband and his family. She gravitated toward them when scared, and I realized it might be because they weren't following the correction-heavy approach, while I was. I also asked for help with Mimi's fear and reactivity toward other dogs, but was told they didn't have dogs available for training and that I would need to bring a calm, socialized dog myself. As a non-trainer, that was very hard, but we tried by traveling many hours to introduce her to my husband's family dog. The experience ended up being chaotic since the family didn't fully understand what the process required, and new people and dogs kept appearing even though Mimi wasn't ready. Her reactivity came back in that environment, which made me feel like the training had only put a bandaid on deeper fear issues. Maybe I should have clarified expectations better from the start, but with a high-need dog and being new to all of this, I didn't know what to expect. Since then, we've switched to a positive reinforcement trainer who organizes structured group activities. Mimi is still scared of bigger dogs and can still be reactive, but she's improving slowly and has been able to meet a few smaller dogs. She's also still fearful of people, but she nips a lot less now, so progress is happening. Overall, Bark Busters helped us in the beginning, but long-term we found that a different, more positive approach has been a better fit for Mimi.
