I left him there, and they texted me when he was finished. He looked adorable and smelled wonderful! The red bandanna was a nice addition. I had been coming here for 4 years in Boynton. Always had no issue. They switched locations in Boynton and I felt a different vibe there but went three times. This past time they damaged my dog's eyes. When we left he couldn't open his eye. I had to take him to the vet immediately. The vet records show it's a chemical burn on his cornea from shampoo. Plus he has always had a skin tag on his lower eyelid that the groomer should've been careful with. Now he's on antibiotics for his eye and pain meds and in a lot of pain wearing a cone and i can only hope he heals. I reached out and haven't heard back from Boss. I'm extremely disappointed to say the least. I'm angry, my baby is hurt, my vet bills should be reimbursed by Boss and if his eyes don't heal i don't know what i will do. To not even hear back after reaching out 12 hours ago at 8am is unacceptable. read more

I have been to the boss several times. They do a great haircut. Unfortunately, I'm VERY disappointed because I got up early to take my dog at 9:00 am before I had to go to work. The gentleman there said that they were backed up and she would be done by noon. I had to call repeatedly after 2pm . She was not ready until after 4 pm when I appeared and still had to wait. There was no evidence she had been walked or watered. This is unfortunate and also unacceptable. She came home guzzled water hadn't been out in seven hours ....unacceptable and very disappointing. The service, other than the young girl at the register who apologized and attempted to explain. They forgot to put on Gracie's collar with her ID and the young girl at the front desk was kind enough to deliver it. The timing process was unacceptable, but the haircut was beautiful. read more

I have to talk about a terrible experience we had there with our dog. first he came home with a big cut on his neck, you can see how they put glue on it, no one ever said a word to us. And when I called to ask about it, they denied this happened there. He also said that it could be an ear infection going to his neck, really?? You can obviously see the cut on the neck. The haircut was absolutely the worst, eyes were still dirty. They really don't care about the experience, no even an apology or a concern, no a refund. I dropped my dog off at 10:30 and was not able to pick him up until 5pm. I called at 3:45 and was told 20 more minutes. I arrived at 4:30 only to be told 20 more minutes. This no appointment system just means that your dog is waiting hours for a service that should take 2 or 3 there is also a complete disregard for my time as well. Then after all that waiting to receive a pup with yet another botched haircut. My only notes in his chart are "don't touch the ears". Why? Because after countless times of the ears being botched I've decided to just do them myself. I've been going to the BossPet in Coral Springs for years and they've always left the ears but since coming here they continue to ignore my requests which I also made verbally at every drop off. With how bad his cut is this time I'm starting to think it's on purpose. Surely no one trained as a groomer would look at this maltipoo and decide to chop his ears this way. This was my first experience with Boss Connection, and unfortunately it was very disappointing. When I initially arrived, the owner personally quoted me $38 for a puppy cut and stated that, as a new client, I would receive $10 off that price. However, when I checked in, the front desk employee told me the cost would be $68, despite my dog being only 17 weeks old. I explained that the owner had quoted me $38 with an additional new-client discount. When I returned to pick up my dog, the discount had not been applied. Instead, I was told that the "discount" was from $68 down to $38, which is misleading, as $68 is the standard cost for a full adult dog groom -- not a puppy cut. When the employee contacted the owner by phone to clarify, his behavior was extremely unprofessional. He was rude, sarcastic, and could be heard complaining about me in the background. When I reiterated that I simply expected to pay the price I was quoted, he responded dismissively and stated that he did not need my business and that I should go elsewhere. For additional context, before coming to this location I attempted to visit their Sample Road location, which has since gone out of business. Based on this experience, it is not surprising. The lack of professionalism, poor customer service, and inconsistent pricing practices reflect poorly on the company. Customers should be cautious, as I was nearly charged $30 more than the quoted price. Transparency and respectful communication should be the minimum standard for any business. read more

I have actually been going to Boss connection prior to living in palm beach and have taken him to their sunrise and coral springs locations as well. Unfortunately within the last year of going to the Boyton location it seems like there may have been a change in ownership because service has been horrible. Last few times I have dropped off my dog early in the morning to avoid having him there all day since they do not take appointments but still he has been kept there for over 7 hours ! I'm very upset with the grooming our Zoe, a 5 pound Yorkie received. It was specifically stated upon drop off not to cut the hair on her head as we were growing that out to reach her top knot. Needless to say, based on this poor review, her hair was chopped off, and very unevenly at that. This review does not have the option to post a picture, but trust me, it is a botched job. This place is convenient, clean, staff (including the owner, Enrique) is very welcoming & friendly. I like that they don't take appointments & that you can just walk-in, that's a nice change of pace from the typical groomer's. The only thing that disappointed me regarding the service is that I inquired if they have experience grooming pomskies, which they said yes, we discussed where my pomsky Halo could be shaved (hygiene cut & shaving beneath the paw pads).. I specifically mentioned that he doesn't get trimmed or shaved anywhere else (because you're not supposed to do that to pomskies) & unfortunately I picked up Halo & saw that they had in fact trimmed his tail. He had a natural looking fox tail, or like a husky tail, but the new shape & display of color now looks very, very different after the trim. It looks really awkward & doesn't suit him in my opinion. The tail hair should grow back after several months (I think?), but I'm not sure it will re-grow nicely back to its original look. When I mentioned to them that the tail was not supposed to be trimmed, they were apologetic & said they'd make notes on his file to ensure it doesn't happen again. In the end, it is just hair which should grow back eventually & I love my dog no matter what... that said, I will likely take my dog back to them as I'm sure there shouldn't be anymore hiccups going forward. Also, because I'm new to the area & was a new client, they did welcome me with a discount on my service & besides that they are reasonably priced overall. Hope this helps!! read more

We recently boarded our dog at the Boynton Beach location, when I dropped her off I told them I wasn't sure what day I would picking her up so I called on Monday morning at 9:30 to say that I would be picking her up that afternoon. At 1:30 I called again to say that we would be there by 3:30 to 4pm. employee told us they were leaving early to be there by 3:30. We rushed to get there in time but when we arrived at 2:30 the staff went to the back and returned--without our dog, they went to the back again and then came back to inform us that our dog was in the Sunrise location which is 45 minutes away from where we dropped her off. We were completely blindsided. NO one ever told us she had been moved! The lack of communication, disorganization and inconvenience this caused was incredibly frustrating and very upsetting--especially when entrusting someone with the care of your pet. My mini bernadoodle puppy has some anxiety and I was told by another local groomer that I had to bring her back on another day when they had less dogs in the store because she was too difficult to groom and showed signs of anxiety. Took my Golden doodle in to the Boynton location today for the first & Last time. I went over the instructions on how I wanted him groomed with Jennifer. I told her specifically not to cut his ears, to leave his face hair full & long & not to cut his tail. When I picked him up,none of the instructions had been followed!!!!! Why did she even ask if they were just going to do what they wanted???? This place must hire groomers straight out of school & take in too many dogs to do a proper job. They are good at grooming dogs but not good at running a dog grooming business. We've never been allowed to make an appointment. We dropped our dog off today at Noon. They said they were busy but could do a full groom. We called at 4 pm and he still wasn't ready. At 5:30 pm (after they close) we went there to get our dog whether he was ready or not since it had been almost 6 hours. There were several other people waiting for their dogs too. The staff person said they had a lot of dogs and that's why they were slow. Everyone there was angry and said they weren't coming back. We finally got home at 6:30 pm. I've never had a grooming take more than 3 hours. They should turn people away if they cannot finish the job within working hours. 6 hours to groom a dog is ridiculous and unnecessarily stressful on the dog. read more

Boss The Pet Connection Located in: The Fountains of Boynton Shopping Plaza Address: 6601 Boynton Beach Blvd, Boynton Beach, FL 33437 On November 2nd I received a call from the dog groomer from The Boss Pet Connection, Boynton Beach. "Your dog's top of his eye is bleeding, but it has finally stopped. Just wanted to let you know." Our dog is a male, 3-year-old, non-aggressive Bichon. When we went to pick him up, the entire white of his eye was completely red. We immediately made an appointment with the vet that afternoon. Our regular vet looked at him and immediately called in the other 2 vets from the office. "This dog has been choked. Blood vessels are broken. It is the only way that this could happen." I immediately called the owner. I told him what the 3 vets had said (owner was defensive). I asked if he had surveillance cameras and he said, yes. He would look immediately after closing and call me back. His phone call never came, so 2 days later I called again. I asked to talk to the owner and said who I was. I was told he would call me back that afternoon and still no phone call. I called one more time and left a message. Still no reply and it has now been 10 days since the incident. My wife followed up with an email. I am guessing he saw the video of our dog being choked or for sure he would have called back with an explanation. I am writing this to make people aware of who takes their pets to this place of business. Please be aware!! I have given the owner every opportunity to respond before writing and posting this. read more
