I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the fraudulent business practices and…read morepredatory behavior I experienced at Reliable Truck Repair and Tire Service. I believe this establishment specifically targets out-of-state travelers with deceptive diagnostic assessments and unprofessional conduct. On October 17, 2025, my 1985 Kenworth dump truck broke down on I-80. After being charged an exorbitant $750 for a 14-mile tow, the vehicle was taken to Reliable Truck Repair. The owner, Mr. William, initially offered free storage and a diagnostic, eventually claiming the truck required a transmission replacement and full service. Relying on this assessment, I paid a total of $12,208.04 across two invoices in December 2025, plus an additional $681 for new batteries. When my driver arrived to collect the truck on January 10, 2026, the vehicle immediately exhibited the same mechanical issues it was originally brought in for. Despite several failed repair attempts in freezing conditions, a staff mechanic admitted the transmission likely was never the problem. When I confronted Mr. William on January 11, he became irate and refused further service, stranding my driver and forcing me to incur $1,400 in emergency travel expenses. Following this, the office assistant, Tony Duran, failed to respond to any of my inquiries for over a week. I have since paid for a third-party transport to return the vehicle to California. A professional inspection has now confirmed that the transmission was not the source of the original issue, verifying that the repairs I paid for were unnecessary and ineffective. I've already filed formal complaints to the BBB, the attorney Generals office of WY and the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION that investigated scams and predators like such business. It will take time but I will wait patiently. I hope my reviews can help future victims think before acting and trusting these fools and also if you have been taken advantage of please stand up for your self and do not let them get away.

He fixed a vacum leak on my car and then also turned around and got all my spark plugs and coil packs changed out in a decent amount of time and for a great price. Traveling back from Sturgis back to Las Vegas my wife's rear tire blew out on her trike. The tow company who picked up the trike informed us it was after six on a Friday and we may be stuck in Rawlings till Monday when the shop opened again. The tow truck driver called and caught them before they departed. They agreed to replace the tire over an hour after they closed...on a Friday! The repairman was a professional and Noticed the other rear tire valve stem was rotted and replaced that as well. They saved us a weekend of hotel and food fees and we were on our way down the road an hour later. Kilburn Tire is a top notch shop! They went far beyond what was expected when they would rather be home starting their weekend. I highly recommend this honest, fair and professional business!

Review We went to…read moreKilburn Point S in Rawlins after getting a flat while traveling from Portland, Oregon, home to Topeka, Kansas. We had already paid about $200 for roadside help and stayed overnight in Rawlins because Kilburn had to order our replacement tire. The next morning, while our Toyota was in their care, one of their technicians backed into it and crushed the passenger-side door. Accidents happen, and I am not angry with the young technician. He apologized and was actually the only person there who did. What I am angry about is how the business handled it. No one from Kilburn came inside to tell us they had hit our vehicle. We found out when a Rawlins police officer walked into the waiting area and told us. The incident resulted in Rawlins Police Department case #26-R05484. Outside, an older white-haired man walked up and handed the officer the business's insurance information without saying a word to us or apologizing. We assumed he was an employee. The collision also left our passenger window inoperable. Our AC is unreliable, this was our only window that rolled down, and we still had about 1,000 miles to drive. When I calmly asked the same man if they could do anything to help get the window working, he told me there was nothing he could do. At that point I became frustrated, used profanity, and walked away rather than continue arguing. He then threatened not to install the tire because he didn't like how I was speaking to him. The owner of the vehicle had already asked this same man if they could at least provide the tire for free because of the damage they caused. He offered a discount instead. We ultimately paid $181.48 for the tire and tax, although they did waive mounting and balancing. After we left, we discovered that the white-haired man wasn't just an employee. He was the owner. That's what bothered me most. The owner knew his employee had hit a customer's vehicle, yet we learned about it from a police officer. He never approached us to explain what happened or apologize. When we asked for help dealing with the immediate consequences of the damage, his response was essentially that there was nothing he could do. The technician making a mistake is understandable. The owner's handling of that mistake is why I'm leaving this review.
