Late Night 10pm-12:30am every day in the week. $3 & $3 = one hell of a late night time Saw the "Late Night" announcement on their IG... oh why did it take me so long to see it??!! Thanks Paul! Delicious Smash Burgers, BBC style paired with a nice cold PBR as a late night treat. Simple yet very satisfying. Other options as well should you'd like to combo up or decide to stick with the classic offering. Regular menu stops at 10pm but we were lucky enough to sneak in an order of their famous mozzarella sticks. Filled with so much cheese it stretches. And also, jumbo size! So be warned. Now that Late Night at BBC is known, we will be making it a regular date night from time to time, whenever the craving for burgers comes about.

What's better than a late night smashburger for $3 and a PBR for $2?! Boston Burger Company offers this deal from 10:30pm to 12:30am and prices like this are hard to come by. You can get all you can eat smash burgers dine-in, and let me tell you, they're good!!!!! The sauce that comes on it is so yummy. Burgers are smaller so you could eat 2 if you're hungry. Lots of students come here and they had the PATS game playing so it was deff a vibe!

Came here for the $3 smash burgers after 10pm and this place did not disappoint. I'd recommend getting there early -- tables filled up very quick even for a weekday night. Servers were nice and got our orders sent out fast. I was expecting the burgers to be of lesser quality considering the price, but they were so delicious. While it wasn't any crazy new flavor I haven't tasted before at a burger joint, every ingredient (especially the sauce!) was great. I would've wished for the buns to have been toasted more, but that didn't stop me from eating four of them. Definitely a spot I would come back to when visiting Boston for a late night meal and vibey bar-like atmosphere.

I was happy to have trued this iconic burger spot. Cool spot, and we went off-peak hours, so we got a good booth. Burgers were solid; we want smash burger style. I would have a hard time not getting the Roots Burger again. We asked to try a couple sauces on the side too, that was no problem, and they were all great. The FRIES! Get the fries. They were amazing. If I were to give the restaurant feedback I'd say cut down on menu items, to find more ways to feature those fries-they were great. On a note I don't typically talk to much about: Service was great, snd super professional. I watched them de-escalate a group of Karens, who were a party of twelve, had reservations, but were upset they weren't being sat together when they arrived two hours early...

The Strawberry Shortcake shake under the cake

We popped in because we saw the owners vid reels on socials. Had to try and must say it was worth it! Now the staff who were on the night we went were both super nice and tried to get everyone's orders and drinks out efficiently, mad house with college crowd late night. Glad we went on a Sunday, wasn't as crowded when we got there, then the groups starting flowing in. Ofc we went for their new promo specific to Cambridge's location! I must say, very impressed, for $2 you get full 1/4lb patty smash burgers with onions, pickles, cheese on a burger bun that tastes and textually almost like Hawaiian king bread that everyone knows. Plus 1000 island dressing. They were all well seasoned, easy to eat and yes we each put down 3 each (saved our stomachs for this). The strawberry shortcake the lady wanted, cake was good, not dry, and the shake was tasty tho a bit sweet for me but as long as she's happy! That strawberry shortcake cost more then our $2 burgers combined haha Either way will be coming back with more friends to this location! The bathrooms however, least tonight, were wet slippery and messy but kind of expected for the crowd that would be here later in the night.

Their $2 smash burger deal after 10pm is awesome! ***Must buy a minimum of 1 $2 PBR per person*** Great value and the burgers are very cheesy with a good serving of thousand Island dressing, onions, and 2 pickles. They are uniform and the buns are toasted! Service is good, but they are short staffed during the hours of 10pm and 1am, I have been multiple times now and it's 1-2 people running the bar and all the tables. When it gets busy, sometimes it takes a while to be seated, put your order in, or cash out. Otherwise, it is lively and often has a lot of energy there! Just beware when the college students are around, you will be waiting since they pack the place quick!

Killer Bee with sweet potato fries
    Kurt F.

Stopped here on a recommendation for a good burger. Had the Killer Bee burger which was juicy, big and dripping bbq sauce. The onion rings had a good crunchy coating while the onions were still crisp. This thing was big! Friendly staff gave some good pointers as this menu has a lot of great sounding options - cardiac stoppers (in a good way)!! We definitely come back next time I'm in town.

Oh man, I haven't been to Boston Burger Company in a minute! I used to frequent the location in Fenway a few years ago and have not thought to go in a while. We decided to take a trip to Cambridge tonight for their $2 smash burger special that is available from 10pm-1am, daily! You do need to order a drink (doesn't have to be alcoholic) to get this deal for the burgers. ***$2 smash burgers are only offered at the Cambridge location*** We ended up ordering 6 smash burgers, a ginger ale, & a strawberry shortcake milkshake. The milkshakes from here could totally be meals themselves haha. The strawberry shortcake milkshake comes with a shortcake on top of the cup with lots of whipped cream. The smash burgers were great! Loved the cheese, onions, and pickles it came with. Much better than getting McDonald's, especially for the price of $2/each! I would definitely come back again for the smash burger deal. It cannot be beat for the price. If you need to go to the bathroom, I would avoid. The floors were very slippery because there was a bunch of water on the floor & was quite dirty.

Solid burger spot. I wasn't super impressed with my burger but the caesar fries were delicious! Service was decent, and the vibe was casual and warm, and I like that they're open late.

Came to celebrate mine and my buddy's bday. Food was pretty good just have to remind yourself that parking is limited and on a timer. Will def be back for the smash burger/ beer special.

City feeling burger place right off of Harvard Square! Everyone was very kind and the service was extremely quick. We had two burgers and it was delicious, thought definitely a little hard to eat because it was so big haha. The chips are really good as well. We went on a weekend so it was quite busy- very lively atmosphere and the restaurant is open (no windows) so its a nice breath of fresh air while enjoying a meal. Love this place!

They have a variety of hamburgers. I had a hamburger called a burger bomb. I sat at the bar where I was presented with a menu upon sitting down. That's one way to make sure I am there for food not just a beer. The bartender asked me if I wanted my burger smashed or traditional. Smashed is two thin patties while traditional is a thicker burger. The smashed is 5.00 more. I went with the traditional version. The burger bomb had peppers, mushrooms, onions and cheese. It was delicious and if I had the chance, I would recommend it. I also had onion rings At 10.00, I thought they were overprced. I would return again if I were in the mood for a cheeseburger. Just remember to bring your wallet.

    Abigail M.

Pretty solid burger option that I'm glad I tried, but I'm not super inclined to eat here again. The food was good, but there are better options. The bruschetta fries were really good and I liked that unique approach and variety of loaded fries! The burgers though is kind of what brings this down for me. Our server was nice, made a lot of jokes, and was super personable, but he didn't write anything down and went off memory to take our orders, causing him to forget toppings and/or give us entirely wrong sides. The burgers were still good though, we left satisfied! The food is good and all, but there are better options around.

Our favorites were the Mussels in Red Curry Rice Wine, Red Curry Bolognese, Massaman Beef Burger, and Mango Sticky Rice. Each packed with flavor and executed beautifully. The Thai Iced Tea was also excellent, while the Thai Ice Espresso Martini just wasn't for me. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant itself was clean, cozy, and inviting. The only downsides were that they had run out of their sourdough brioche buns, which I was excited to try, and reservations were tough to get as we had to book about a month in advance. Even so, it's easy to see why this place is so popular. I'll definitely be back and hopefully try some of the burgers with those sourdough buns next time.

Now, I suspect this might due in part because of the hype + location + thai/american fusion flavor, but even with a reservation we still ended up waiting about 30 minutes to be seated. Unfortunately, the service throughout dinner wasn't much better. Between the three of us, we ordered the scallion fries (which, for anyone wondering, aren't actually fries tossed in scallion oil or dressing), the fried calamari, the red curry Bolognese, the green curry pasta with steak, and, of course, the much-hyped Massaman burger. The fried calamari was probably the weakest dish. It had a fishier taste than I expected, and the breading was fairly greasy and tended to fall off. The scallion fries were good, though not especially memorable. Of the entrées, we preferred the green curry pasta over the red curry Bolognese, though both became a little heavy after a while. The Massaman burger was solid, but not quite the standout I was hoping for. Across the dishes, our biggest takeaway was that the curry sauces all leaned fairly rich and salty without much contrast. A little acidity or citrus would have gone a long way in brightening the flavors. Overall, Black Ruby was good, just not quite as memorable as I expected. Nothing we ordered really wowed us, but it's still a perfectly solid spot if you're in the area. I'd be open to coming back, though I'd probably try some different items if we were ever around Harvard Square.

It's only open for brunch on Sundays, which combined with always being seated immediately makes it feel like a hidden gem. The back patio is quiet, shaded, and sheltered from wind. The food shines. Of course the egg scramble and the Benedict's were fantastic, but every piece of every plate feels deliberate and done with intention--nothing is an afterthought. - Their home fries are my all-time favorite--thick, well-seasoned, soft on the inside with some crisp on the outside. - - The English muffin toast has a crunchy golden surface and soft inside. - The whipped cream on the French toast feels luxurious. - Oyster shooters are a fun treat, as a lover of both fried clams and bloody Mary's. - They were kind enough to accommodate us with a half order of their (outstanding) French toast for dessert I'd note there's no espresso drinks on the menu, although I did enjoy the black coffee. Cesar salad! Big salad! Wish we shared one. Big garlic croutons with a bit of rosemary and you could taste good olive oil on those. Dressing was very lemony and there was a hefty amount of cheese. I'd say even if you're someone who prefers a creamy Cesar you'd probably still like this because there's a lot of cheese which added great texture. Wow talk about a hidden gem!…read more I hadn't heard much about this place so I wasn't sure what to expect-- located in Inman square with nearby limited street parking (there's a metered lot on Springfield street nearby!), Oak Bistro is a medium sized restaurant with a simple but chic decor and true focus on hospitality. When we came in we were greeted and our coats were taken and put away. They have rotating specials that our server walked us through. We ordered all three of the mock tails on the menu -- Odin's Oracle was a sparkling elderflower and passion fruit drink, the Northern Rose was fruity with a slight thick cream of coconut base (and the tables favorite!) and the last drink was a warm ginger drink. They all came out looking beautiful. For food, we started with the Halloumi Cheese which was delicious and perfect for sharing (comes with four pieces), then tried the Blueberry Ricotta Cornbread (really well made and yummy but needed a little more butter spread) and the fried burrata (huge serving of burrata with balsamic, fig jam, warm bread, just as good as it sounds). We tried the Braised Short Rib Croquettes which were stuffed with short rib and topped with sooo much yummy cheese. We also had the Pappardelle braised shore rib Ragu which was truly delicious-- would highly recommend. For dessert we tried a special menu bread pudding which was a perfect end to the night. Our leftovers came perfectly packaged in little baggies with dish names and dates written on them which is so cute and thoughtful! Overall I would order everything we got again and was so pleasantly surprised by the caliber of food at Oak Bistro-- get in and try it before it gets too popular!

We walked into a room where the walls are covered in memorabilia and every table is labeled with the name of a famous person who has sat there, giving the space a personality that no amount of designed ambiance can replicate. It feels like a place with genuine history rather than a place performing one. The burgers are the reason to come and they hold up after more than six decades without apology. The patties are thick and cooked to order, with medium being the right call for maximum juiciness. The creative topping combinations across the named burgers give you a range of directions to go depending on your mood. The Masshole is a natural starting point for a first visit, and the build your own option is worth knowing about if you want to go a more specific route. The portions are large enough that leaving satisfied is essentially guaranteed. The onion rings are a great choice of side for good reason, crispy and well seasoned in a way that holds up alongside the burger rather than competing with it, and the sweet potato fries are a strong alternative if you want something slightly less heavy. The frappes and shakes are worth ordering if you want something to wash it all down, and the raspberry lime Rickey is a summer ready drink with a refreshing taste. Service is straightforward and efficient, fitting the no-nonsense energy of a busy burger joint that has been handling crowds for decades. The staff moves quickly and knows the menu inside out, helping first timers navigate the extensive list of named burgers without hesitation. For a classic burger experience in Harvard Square that delivers on history, flavor, and personality, Mr. Bartley's Burger Cottage remains a landmark worth every bit of its reputation.

I'll be honest, I had high hopes for this place. After seeing it online and just how it's an old…read moreschool vibe, been open for a long time. I was impressed upon arrival, seeing the cool menu and interior. Knowing that many celebrities had eaten here! But then the food came out and we were a little disappointed. I ordered the D-Luxe and my boyfriend got the Bill Burr. We also started with soups, clam chowder and chili. The soups were good. Fries were really good! The burgers looked good, but then we took a bite. We both got medium, but usually that means pink...not raw. I'm not even lying my burger felt like I was eating raw meat. The meat was still super soft and shredded like. I get pink, but not raw. I was nervous I'd be sick after to be honest. I hate seeing pictures of people's bitten into food online but I felt the need to post it for reference... It's too bad because the vibes were great and everything, and maybe next time it'll be better, but I'd definitely say medium or medium well...
