First and foremost, the ease of reaching a nurse via the phone made parenting less stressful. They offered great advice and always seemed to know whether a visit was warrented, while being open to scheduling if it made me more comfortable. I loved the rotating provider aspect and enjoyed hearing from many different docs. Dr. Hertko-Adams was an especially great resource for us. I will miss this practice and thank them for their help getting my son's health off to a great start!

Dr. Scharf is our well visit doctor but everyone in the practice has been great for sick visits. The nurse's line was also wonderful when my daughter took her first big fall off the couch. (She was fine but first time parent I wasn't sure what to look for if watching for a concussion.) The nurse even called me back a 1/2 hour after we spoke just to check on my daughter and be sure that there weren't any additional concerns. Super appreciated! I never have problems with the receptionists so they must have hired new people since those negative reviews. Their flu shot clinic is great too! Schedule an appointment in advance and in and out in minutes - with paperwork if you need proof for school or daycare. The one negative is I wish I could pay my bills online like I do with every other healthcare provider I have but their payment is check by mail or credit card over the phone.

I called to schedule an appointment for my 93 year old Mom who needed a prescription refill. The…read morecall was answered by a wonderful woman by name of Kristin in scheduling, who was absolutely wonderful in her guidance. By the time we got off the phone she had recommended a "scheduling health plan" (my words, not hers) by way of an outline that included a Home nurse for one visit while we were waiting for the April appointment for Moms Primary Doctor! She then passed me to the Prescription Refill Nurse for Moms refill. I would like to add that I have had very difficult health issues myself over the past three years so I have been speaking with many, many, scheduling departments over that time and Kristin was FAR AND AWAY the best, most pleasant, greatest listener, and offered an extremely intelligent recommended plan. She is THE best at her job that I have ever spoken with!

I did the responsible thing by calling to tell them I would be a little bit late according to my GPS, I was going to be exactly 15 minutes late. I left my house an hour and 20 minutes before the appointment which I have been waiting for and I was still late. I called and spoke to Brittany and scheduling whereas I told her what was going on. I was on hold for 19 minutes. I finally ended the call and she called me back minutes later and told me that she told them I was going to be late and the doctor Reisner would still see me upon getting to social medical Center. I went to check-in where I was told I was 15 minutes late and he probably wouldn't be able to see. I then told them about the phone call that I had made and what was told to me by Brittany after they said it doesn't matter. You need to go over to specialties and talk to them at this point I yelled I did yell and I also swore, but this is the second time that Socio Medical Center has disappointed me. I did my best to get there on time. I can't control traffic coming up from the Cape, which contributed to my tardiness of the appointment instead of being treated kindly, I was told oh well when I went to the back in rheumatology, the woman that I Suarez felt the need to tattletale everybody in that corner and tell them what I said to her my response yes, I did say that yes they did deserve that while I was there having an x-ray and lab work I was informed there's only one x-ray machine there provided by self to a hospital. They won't replace it, but they will add a new state of the art mammogram machine which I am totally for 100% because I battled breast cancer 13 years ago, but why is there only one x-ray machine why and why do patients have to wait almost an hour to have an x-ray because there's only one x-ray machine, and why of all the pediatriciansl left. This practice to open a new practice. I brought my children to this practice all of their childhood years. All three of my daughters thank God the pediatrician that chose to rape. Children was never assigned to Miy children. Back to my situation Dr. Reisner is one of the best out there and so Sean medical center does not deserve him Dr. Wagner please leave this practice. You're too good for them. He apologized to me and told me everything was going to be OK because not always was I embarrassed, but I wish you humiliated by these people threatening me with security and if there's a note on the account for security, that means according to them that they'll always be on high alert. I'm a 62 year-old woman not a mouse murderer. Anyone read this look at my review from about six months ago I'll keep it short and sweet. I was in the middle of a dermatological trait for six months I was called. They had to cancel an appointment two weeks later they canceled that next appointment when I called back the following week as they told promised me they would call me. They told me the next available which one year away when I told them no thank you be going to contemporary dermatology magically an appointment opened up. I was begged by Mary not to leave a review. I left a review as I'm leaving a review right now dear social Medical Center. I will be hiring a lawyer once it's too much twice is inexcusable do better South Shore Medical Center

First Do No Harm South Shore Hospital in Weymouth…read moreMassachusetts must learn and remember the first and most sacred rule in medicine - First Do No Harm: On a cold morning on December 2, 2024, at 6:00AM in the morning, I brought my one and only sibling to South Shore Hospital for very important and much-awaited surgery. He was using his walker and walked though the revolving door entrance to the main lobby. As he walked through, the door malfunctioned and grabbed his arm, squashing it against the side of the frame and the hydraulically moving door panel. This was witnessed by the SSH personnel at the front desk who immediately summoned security personnel. They were both very helpful and directed us to go straight to the ER for treatment. They BOTH relayed that the door had been a consistent problem and my brother was not the first person to be injured. They both stated they had requested (on several occasions) that the door be repaired - or, at the very least, a warning sign erected. Nothing had been done by the time my brother was injured. Currently, South Shore Hospital is refusing to help my brother or offer any type of consideration. The hospital's insurance company was notified of the incident immediately and the blatant negligence of the hospital was described and memorialized. The cold-hearted, non-caring, disrespectful treatment by the hospital has been stunning. Beware if you go to South Shore Hospital expecting good care or assistance.

When we took him to his appointment, we saw Dr. Hom. He was friendly enough, but he really took no time with us. Being first time patients, you'd think he'd spend a little time getting to know our son. But other than brushing aside our worries that our little guy eats less than a mouse, and checking to make sure he still sat in a carseat (DUH), he asked us no other questions and did not talk about anything else with us. After that I thought about changing to another pediatrician in the area. However, when our son got sick with a stomach virus and a high fever soon after, they were great about seeing him on a weekend and Dr. Hom was great at that appointment. He's been in for another appointment since then and saw a woman who's name a I cannot remember; she was great too. Our son is now being followed for anemia, so I don't want to change to another pediatrician in the middle of all this. I'm thinking I'll wait until after his 15-month check up and see how I feel then.

We have been with South Suburban Pediatrics for almost 5 years. Dr Hom and the nurse practioner , Annette Radzevich , are friendly ,knowledgable and always eager to answer all of my questions. Whether I needed an appointment for a sick visit during the week or on a weekend or even for routine care their staff always makes that extra effort to provide an appointment for me that is convenient, which for my busy schedule is a blessing.
