I walked in in shock of all the clutter you could barely move, but nonetheless, I was still willing to walk around. I touched a piece of silver, a $10 item and the owner at the desk snapped very quickly at me asking me if I needed any help with a loud voice very rude. I said no I'm just browsing thank you And then a few minutes later out of the blue, she says nothing in the store is to be touched! She was by far her one of the rudest woman I have ever encountered as a store owner and I literally did nothing I looked over at her and I said I beg you parted she says do not touch a single thing in the store. And I replied wow I've never heard of that. Nothing? As there was so much clutter in there from top to bottom, you couldn't even walk. I would never step foot in that place again she was ungodly so disrespectful and treated me inhumane I can see clearly why her store has 1 million pieces in it People don't want to be treated like that and will not return with a terrible experience. Visited for the first time today. I was really surprised with the selection of decorative pieces - art, etc. Also some gorgeous china sets, pillows and drapery. The prices are reasonable considering what "new" furniture costs and the quality of box store pieces. You definitely want to visit to add to your home furniture collection. Went here for the first time today. As someone who is an avid thrift/consignment and antiquer in Massachusetts I like to think I know the space. 1) the prices are pretty high. For instance, I looked at their blue Wedgeworth porcelain pieces. Most ranged 60-80 dollars. I saw those same pieces for 40 at my go-to spot, and even found 2 of them at Beverly bootstraps for 25 each. Many many of the other glass items I've found at other stores cheaper or even Mercari (with shipping included) cheaper. 2) disorganized chaos! They either need a bigger store, or they need to stop bringing on huge furniture items. I'm mostly interested in glassware and trinkets and most of it I couldn't even get to behind big pieces. 3) I think the store should be names "Boston antiques" versus consignment. Consignment would be items from all generations - when most of their stuff are indeed, antiques. Might go back... might not. Maybe when I hit the jackpot. read more

Wow, over-the-top, overpriced, consignment store! Not sure what they're thinking, or who would pay those prices. Nice location, and some nice furniture, but mostly average quality. I agree with the last reviewer that there are 'much better options for the savvy shopper.' A good choice is Fiddleheads in Canton - I always find something there. Great prices, and store looks different every time I go - also jewelry & designer bags. Canton is a bit of a hike for me, but definitely worth the trip. read more

If you walk in there expecting bargains, then this store really isn't for you; they sell items that are much nicer than most consignment shops for a fair price. I went to Boston Consignment with sterling, plated sterling, 100 year old china in A plus condition, and a Picasso print appraised on the wholesale market by a bonded art appraiser at 500-700$. Everything was rejected and the owner wanted the Picasso listed at 375$ with a 50% split. Most importantly, she was abrupt, rude, demeaning. She missed out on the perfect pre world war 2 georg jensen appraised at 50k. I would not go back there for anything. No excuse for her rudeness. Gives the Northeast a bad name. Infuriating, really. I have a house full of Dunbar furniture:couches, chairs, tables. Bet she does not even know the name Dunbar. read more

Seriously overpriced items of moderate to collectible quality. I would imagine that most consignors overpaid originally and are expecting unrealistic values for non-antique, worn objects. Not only did a I find a gorgeous Foo Dog, which I have been looking for for years, but was created by the friendliest woman. The shop had a cool and eclectic mix of Art, Jewelry and Furniture. They inventory likely switches up often. So many cool things. I highly recommend. read more

I consigned 6 items with this shop and received checks for 4 of the items. I went back to inquire about 2 items that I had not received payment for and was told that I should consider this matter closed since the 6 months had expired. The items that I lost out on were valued between 175-200 dollars each. The imperious attitude of the owner was so over the top that I didn't even bother to call back. On another occassion, I was in the store and a cell phone rang; the owner was so distraught over the sound of the phone ringing that they knocked over a set of waterford glasses. You'd think we were at a wake and not trying to enjoy a day out of shopping. I'd never go back....... read more

This is a lovely store of really high quality items. It's not one of those dusty, odds and ends type places. Really nice brands of crystal and china, for example. They offer delivery and that is very reasonably priced. The prices are decent. Not super-low, but other reviewers suggested negotiating. The owners are a married couple and are friendly and helpful. I would not do business with these people. I will tell everyone I know to avoid this consignment shop. This is the type of business that is built on relationships. Their word is no good. I went in and found a Brown Jordan outdoor patio chair that I liked and said I was interested the set. I was told the rest of the set would come in the next day for me to see it. I was told that it would be held for me. I went in the next day and other pieces were there, but not the table. The owner said she would call me when the table came in. The next day the table arrived and I said I wouild come by that evening after work. Two hours later I left work and was on my way when I listened to a voicemail for me saying they sold it to someone else who just walked in the door. I had come in the 2 previous days to see the pieces and was just waiting to see the table. It was not right to sell it to someone who just randomly walked in the door when it was on hold for me and they knew I was coming in that same day. This is not the type of place you want to do business with either buying or consigning your items. read more
