We had been seeking to replace our existing deck with composite decking and knew it would require new framing as well. I received their information through the TimberTech website as a recommended contractor and emailed them figuring it would take multiple emails to get a response but I was wrong! Ruy called the same day and had his guy Junior out to view and quote the project within 2 days! They were detailed and explained what they would do and brought sample colors of Azek decking. Their quote was very fair based on others we received and the project was completed within 2 weeks from my initial email to finished product. The workers were prompt and courteous, and addressed any questions I had during the construction. They cleaned up the area upon completion and when I noticed one small cosmetic issue, Junior was out the next day to fix it to my satisfaction!! Excellent customer service, very fair pricing and we couldn't be happier!! I wish I found them a few years ago!! I wanted to add an update to my original review of Boston Framers and the great work they did with multiple extensive projects at my home last year. Everything they did here was top quality and survived this past brutal winter with ease and we are so happy with the original work. Two weeks ago I noticed one deck board had popped up on one end saw 2 more that appeared slightly lifted. Texted Ruy, who got back to me within the hour to tell me he would have someone out to fix/check it within the week. That is exactly what happened. Not only was that small problem fixed, I really felt Alessandro thoroughly inspected the entire deck for soundness and even found an additional loose screw that I had missed. Boston Framers recently renovated and expanded my old deck. I am very impressed with Ruy and his team! I had taken multiple quotes, and all were in the same range. While other contractors indicated that they would only be able to start work a month or two later, Ruy said he can start within a week of signing the contract and finish within a month of starting. I had some difficulty believing Ruy's tight deadline, but I decided to go with him as we wanted the deck to be completed before summer. Ruy kept his word: his team started the work within 2 days of signing the contract. What impressed me the most was that they started work even before my down payment check was cashed! Ruy's team was hard working - they used to come at 8 AM and work for the whole day with only a few breaks. The deck was complete in 2 weeks. We wanted to finish our basement and Ruy was recommended to us by a friend of mine. Ruy came by the next day to take a look and give me an estimate. His estimate was very reasonable among all the quotes i had received thus far. The framers showed up at 730 the next day!! The crew was very efficient and fast. Ruy was very quick to respond with any requests and communicated my needs to the crew in real time. The timeline to finish was a little longer than anticipated because of delay in getting materials but Ruy was always transparent about it. The completed work was excellent and basement looks fantastic. Ade was someone who worked closely with Ruy on this project with me. Ade's attention to detail and efficiency in getting things crossed off a list of things to do is superb. Ade did everything.. carpentry, drywalling, painting, installing windows, duct work.. So I got four quotes for a reconstruction of my deck, reluctantly tearing down my 20 year old IPE surface(s). Three of the four quotes were close and it was truly a flip of the coin between the last two. But Ruy was the only man to drop samples and explain the differences between materials. He suggested TimberTech Advanced PVC and I ultimately went with that. It's a big deck so it wasn't cheap. So spending that type of money, I was nervous about the quality of the workmanship. Ruy assured me that his carpenters were excellent. That was an understatement. They did an outstanding job! They were professional, personable. Started the workday early and left late. If they couldn't answer any questions that I had - and they almost always did - Ruy would follow-up. They made suggestions to me that I hadn't thought of along the way that were truly helpful. Ruy and the Boston Framers team recently rebuilt our deck. We went to Rouy for the possibility to tear down and create a new expanded deck with trex. To say we were excited for the results is an understatement. Rouy was extremely responsive, quickly adjusted as we were coming up with plans and ideas and communicated daily around the progress and the needs for the deck. Ruy is a pleasure to work with, and he does high quality work. I had him replace two sets of exterior stairs, and rebuild my gravel driveway at my 140-year old house in Cambridge. His carpentry is rock-solid and looks great. His crew did a meticulous grade and fill to my badly rutted driveway, and built a handsome granite cobblestone trim for the gravel. Ruy and his workers built me the most beautiful roof deck. Ruy worked tirelessly with my town to get all of the information for the work permit (which was no small task.) He went over every detail of the construction with me and was very accommodating when any changes were requested. The roof deck (which is on the 3rd floor level) is safe and solid and has withstood torrential rain, high winds, and snow.
