We meet with them for our engagement pictures and it went downhill from that point. Our pictures were horrible; they were unorganized and arguing with each other making it very uncomfortable. We decided it was too close to the wedding and to keep them as we had already paid them the full amount and we would lose our money. I meet with Bev to discuss my plans for the wedding. She argued and disagreed with every idea I had. I did not want a first look with my husband even though it is a "time saver" I wanted that moment down the aisle to be special. She disagreed with me trying to convince me for 15 minutes to change my mind. I politely refused. I then told her it was important I do a first look with my father. She did not like that idea at all. She said it was ridiculous to do a first look with my father and not my soon to be husband. She also did not like the idea I was not doing any wedding traditions like cake cutting flower or garter toss. She said "what are we supposed to take pictures of just dancing for hours" I said yes! I want candid pictures of our guests having fun, talking to each other dancing laughing and having fun. When the wedding day arrived I wanted to be in the moment and enjoy it, Take it all in. Everything was going great until Thom showed up. He came in like a whirlwind so much negative energy! The entire wedding staff (Hairdressers and makeup artists, bridal party immediately tensed up and expressed how uncomfortable they were making them feel). Bev didn't even show up the day of my wedding. I had hired two photographers. I was told she was "sick". Later I found out she took another gig (in our initial meeting they said they do not double book). Thom tossed my dress on the makeup artist table. Thank Goodness my bridesmaid and mother saw and rescued my dress immediately and told him to be careful with it. I had to tell Thom to send the other photographer to take pictures of my husband getting ready. They were sitting on the couch talking. We only received a handful of decent pictures! They took horrible side angle pictures. I told them I did not like the side view for pictures and they still took 75% of the pictures that way. I had to keep telling them what to do and who to take pictures of! I was directing family and friends and organizing who was on deck for pictures! They stood around clueless! During our reception I really wanted sunset pictures. They pulled us outside to capture the moment, but Thom had dropped the camera in the parking lot and could not get it to work. While his helper just stood and smoked. After 10 minutes of missing our time to eat I suggested to use the second shooters camera so we could get back inside. We also wanted to take back light pictures with our venue in the background. They set it up so the parking lot was in the background of all our backlight pictures. They then asked if they could leave our reception early as people were only dancing and nothing else was going on. At this point I was aggravated and said fine. We did not get our proofs back until December. Our wedding was in the beginning of September! I had to constantly call to ask what is going on with our albums or prints. Thom was extremely rude! I had tried to contact Bev who was the person I originally had the most contact with. She told me she and Thom were getting divorced and she no longer had anything to do with the company. Thom yelled at me several times stating that we were drunk during our ceremony. That was a complete lie as we didn't drink until the reception. He was the one drunk! He was stumbling dropped his camera several times and was very rude to myself, my husband and our guests. We did not get our albums that we had paid for until the end October 2022! Our wedding was September 2021. I was promised to receive my pictures in a timely manner. When I told him how disappointed I was he began to yell at me saying he's doing it by himself and it has not been a year since our wedding and I was being ridiculous! I think I know when our wedding date was! This was a few of the issues we dealt with, They did a lot more rude and unprofessional things! DO NOT HIRE THEM! RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL

They have a huge balcony that overlooks the river and a ground level patio that walks right out to the river boardwalk. We were able to enjoy Providence's Water Fire with private, front row seats. It was a priceless experience Despite all of that, the interior spaces are very, very small and oddly shaped, making it very hard to move during an event. It also makes it very difficult for the staff to maneuver in between tables, causing a major traffic jam when it comes to meal time. I'm not sure what happened when we were there, but there were MAJOR delays and mix ups during our event. So much so that the wait staff actually forgot to serve our entire table. By the time the realized this, they served us ice cold food that was over cooked, over salted, and actually inedible. The hosts of our event tried to correct it by offering to comp our table a round of drinks. But at that point we were all so disappointed and turned off by the entire experience that we all decided to leave two hours before the end of the event. Skyline at Waterplace has the potential to be incredible. But until they make some major changes, it's not a place I can recommend.

First off, the space is very accessible right on Mendon Road. It's a newer space owned by the same people that own Angelo's next door. There is good natural lighting, ample parking outdoors, TVs, and a full bar inside the event area. Also, since it's a newer build, the technology is updated with a sound system and enough outlets to charge different devices. The space itself is in the the same building as Angelo's, and separated by a wall from the Angelo's dining room, but the food is catered by the same kitchen. When walking in, there's a small area to the right with bathrooms and coat closet/storage. To the left is where the main event space is located, along with the bar inside. We were planning the shower out of state, so a lot of the communication with the owners was through email and phone. Working with the owners was super easy and they were very prompt in answering questions leading up to the day. The shower was on a Saturday morning, and the owners were kind enough to give us the space the night before to set up and bring in items so there was that much less to do in the morning. I felt they were so nice with accommodating all our requests from food, to utilization of space, to even last minute things that we didn't know we needed. Day of, they had enough staff on hand to set up tables and any other requests that we needed. They provided all the linen and utensils, as well as servers to bring the food out (since we did a buffet) and then later clean up. They do not allow outside caterers for food, but do allow outside dessert. For the amount of people we had, there was seating for everyone, plus tables for gifts/food/dessert and still some open area to get some games and activities going. We didn't need a bartender since it was a dry event, but as part of the rental, we were given unlimited soft drinks and water (woot!) Overall - really happy with the service and the space accommodations. I think it can serve a number of different types of events and it's a great location from an access standpoint. From the very beginning, Emily and Dan were incredible to work with. They kept us organized throughout the planning process, answered countless questions, eased our worries, and always kept us informed. Our day-of coordinator was calm, kind, and such a reassuring presence. Multiple people came up to tell us how wonderful she was. She seemed to be everywhere at once, checking on everyone, solving little problems before we even knew they existed, and bringing such a positive energy to the entire day. But the food... the food was phenomenal. Everyone kept saying we needed to order from B&M again. We did the clambake and it seemed the favorites were the clam chowder, the lobsters, the mussels and the cornbread but everything was great. All the extra pieces were included too, which was really helpful - from forks/knives to seafood crackers and ladles for the soup. We also had a shellfish allergy and they were able to accommodate - everything was cooked separately. I can't recommend them enough - they made hosting a fun party so easy and it will be a meal remembered for years to come.
