The style and décor of the Boston Pizza location is good overall, but definitely dated. Some booth walls are fading, the tables have deep grooves from wear, and several seats show visible cracking and splitting. We started by ordering two Pepsis, which arrived very obviously watered down. After mentioning it to our server, she responded that it was just how the machine makes them, delivered with a somewhat condescending tone, but offered canned drinks instead, which we accepted. We ordered two sets of Thai Bites with extra sauce; unfortunately, both arrived cold, and one plate barely had enough sauce to cover the chicken, let alone extra. We also ordered French fries and yam fries, which came out hot and were good. The manager (a man in a blue shirt) later came by to apologize for the drinks and confirmed the dispenser had been fixed. After we spoke with him about the cold food, he apologized and removed the Thai Bites from our bill. Both the server and manager checked on us often afterward, and the manager was especially friendly and helpful. We finished with the Chocolate Brownie Addiction, which was warm, sweet, and very good -- easily the highlight of the meal. Overall, the experience had a rough start, but the manager's excellent customer service and willingness to fix the issues helped end the visit on a positive note. read more

My husband and I got here at about 9:30PM after driving all the way up from YYC. The server was friendly and welcoming. We got the 10" Royal Hawaiian pizza although I was skeptical about the ingredients since I was more used to the typical Hawaiian pizza (which I found on the photo of the menu on Google maps, which must be outdated since I couldn't find it on their menu in store - I attached a QR code where you can find their latest menu). We spent over 3 hours here when we were kind of stranded in Hinton due to car troubles recently and the staff were really quite excellent as we leisurely ate our meals. It was a good experience. I mean overall, this location is a pretty standard Boston Pizza location but it is in a small town and it has been recently renovated. I loved how when we asked, the staff found us outlets to charge our devices! We moved tables for this reason and it was great. Our group had all sorts of different items and shared the Thai chicken bites appetizer. Beverage refills were forthcoming and until the location got busy, we got great service. Once we were done we waited by the door for some to go food. The to go food was good but seemed to be a bit mixed up. This Boston Pizza is unlike most of the other Boston Pizza's I've been to - the food preparation and presentation was generally poor. Hey, remember all those nice TV ads that Boston Pizza spends a lot of money airing? The food at this Boston Pizza in Hinton doesn't really look it. The cheese on the pasta was not nicely melted, in general they skimped a lot on cheese (feta cheese), etc. It took a while to get seated and the service.... our server only showed up occasionally. Not much to choose from in the area my boyfriend and I chose here for dinner prior to ending our extremely long drive to Edmonton from Vancouver. We ended up sharing a Mediterranean Pizza that somehow is called Mediterranean even without black olives. The service was slow and apathetic. It took 20 min to see a server even though there was maybe 10 people in the restaurant including ourselves (5 people). After ordering it took about 45 minutes more to get our food which arrived staggered resultIng in members of the group not eating together. The food was typical of any Boston pizza you've ever been to (which is definitely a family favorite of ours), but the service was really slow, and because we were on the last leg of a long road trip with kids, it made me a little crabby. Why would Jersey girl (and Yankees fan) eat at a place called Boston Pizza? I'd seen the chain around Alberta, the exterior looked bright and cheery plus it was near our hotel. First the positive, we didn't get sick. Now the rest... The pizza bread appetizer was a baked pizza crust with dried herbs and powdered Parmesan cheese added. It did not come with sauce. A side of marinara would have helped it. The pepperoni pizza toppings had an unusual texture, almost fluffy. The sauce was bland. Add to it everything seemed expensive for a pizza joint. Our service was sub-par and we were charged for an extra drink. I noticed after we paid. When I brought it up to their attention, they didn't know how to refund it. The restaurant was essentially bare except for our table plus maybe 1-2 more. Also the floors were really dirty. Not a lot of choices in Hinton but we won't be back. read more

Forget the restaurant, this is the best sports bar in Hinton with 9 TV screens and high ceilings. I like their pizza and the crispy chicken salad which you can substitute grilled chicken and it comes with all kinds of things such as eggs and bacon and pecans etc. Just be sure to ask for the dressing on the side. Drinks aren't that cheap but they have a good selection of on tap beverages.. Air conditioning works well! Music not loud and the place has a nice feel. Went there for a meal last night. Service was very bad, about 10 minutes before we received our drinks and we were 1 of 2 tables. When our pizza arrived, the sundries tomatoes were charred black. I'm not a complainer but I'm talking charcoal. I mentioned this to the server and she said they get a lot of complaints about that but that's how they come out (?). They pan fried us some new ones and I picked the blackened ones off. We were then sitting and waiting for about 15 minutes after we finished eating while our server chatted and worked on the computer. Im a huge fan of BP's. Their food is good, their prices fair and their product is consistent in almost every location i have been to. We had some friends visiting from over seas who we were taking up to the mountains and decided to stop at the BP's location in Hinton. The service was so bad that i dont know where to start. It was actually embarrassing. I usually try and write positive reviews but this experience was so bad that i had to review so the owners can see and possibly save a potential customer the experience. I wouldn't judge a whole restaurant based on the service of one server but the manager came out and dealing with him was just as bad. Only my first visit to a Boston pizza but I'm already a fan. This particular branch is a very convenient location for a lunch stop when driving from Jasper to Edmonton. On looking at the menu, I almost immediately settled on the Mediterranean pizza - this was a great choice. It came with delicious sundried tomatoes, artichokes and mushrooms topped off with feta cheese and pesto sauce - yum! We ordered the $18 small sized pizza which was easily enough food for both my mum and me. Service speed was impressive too - waiting time was roughly 15 minutes even though it was a reasonably busy afternoon. read more

WORST service we've ever experienced! I had Tuscan Chicken Whole Wheat pasta the pasta was over cooked the chicken dry the sauce bland. My husband had the Smokey Mountain Spaghetti and Meatballs; again the pasta was overcooked and the sauce bland and the meatballs bland, dry and over handled they had a pasty quality to them. We waited at least 15 minutes for our left overs and bill. We finally attracted attention by standing up by the hostess station, at which point a server came over and explained our server had been sent on break by the manager, would have been nice if someone had let us know. i used to work here and that was the only time i ever got my food for me and my family proper. i watched and listened to my step mom order last night and i heard her tell the waitress that was punching in our food say what was on our order. this isnt the only time this has happened this time it was pick up because she didnt want anything wrong with the order. last 5 maybe even 6 times ive ordered from here they forget something or its over cooked or under cooked and you guys dont do anything to fix it. you told my step mom that she had to wait for a phone call from a manager about a bandara bread that shouldve been on the order in the first place. im really getting sick of it. i like boston pizza its good food but you guys are really p***ing me and my family off. like if you want to become a clown go to the circus not a waitress or a cook who doesnt know how to do their job. read more

I personally found this Boston Pizza in Hinton isn't interested in upholding the standards set my other BP's franchises in Alberta, the food (Starting Platter) was poorly presented and that if the appetizers served with this option weren't undercooked (soggy Cactus Cut Potatoes) it was dry and burnt (Dry Ribs, and Bandera Bread). After our group powered through the platter despite the deficiencies, the manager brought out our pizza. He asked if we needed anything, and we requested Parmesan, but never came back with any. The Meateor pizza we ordered was quite problematic as the dough wasn't exactly cooked, one of the reasons we prefer Boston Pizza is because of its signature crisp slices, our pizza this day was falling apart from the first soggy slice being pulled from the tray. We waited until we saw our server on the in the dining area, she agreed that it looked under cooked and took it back to the kitchen to get a new one properly done up. She came back almost immediately and said she wasn't allowed to get a new pizza made as we were missing a slice (that was on a plate at our table with one bite taken out of it). We then spoke with the manager Paul who offered to reheat our current pizza, which was not the issue in the first place. In all honesty he seemed uninterested in resolving the situation. After paying our bill they brought out a replacement pizza to go, which when we got home was not much better. read more

The food was substandard for BP & often the meal didn' match the usual menu. If you order to your hotel, expect to be disappointed. This is the worst BP I have ever tried.
