Never count on them. take their delivery time add an hour and you can still make an order form somewhere else and get it delivered from the other place before they show up. I was just checking to see if the reviews showed a change in what I should expect. sadly it looks like a no go. I loved Boston pizza food was great, prices were good . I hVE FOUND THE NANAIMO restaurant to have totally ruined the experience for me, my wife nix's any vote of where to go and I have no argument... I have had dirty glasses poorly cooked food bad table service and left while the girl on duty flirted with the young guys at the only other table occupied. I do not know what's happened to the place e it was good when my girls were young but has not been close since. and I agree with the other reviewer who said the tip percentages are unreal I do not even want to tip when they show 15, 18 20 for what this isn't fine dining and to have someone waiting for me to put food in my mouth then show up like a magician to ask how was that first bite ...... really !!! this constitutes a tip ??? no it doesn't ! or be non existent till end of meal and at payment time strike up a conversation this scripted crap has to go I my self loath it!! id say you might be better off putting NO TIP at top of choices then maybe 2$ 3$ 4$ 5$ up to 10$ then an other option . stop the scripts and start earning your wages good food good service read more

I ordered online for pick-up and was quite shocked when I paid with Visa and was invited to tip with the minimum option being 15% for a PICK UP!! I mean, I'm happy to tip 20% if I'm eating in the restaurant and being served or if I get a delivery, I'll tip the driver, but, jeez, when I'm picking up a pizza, why the heck would they invite me to tip. I couldn't figure out how to get out of that option, so ended up tipping, but I was pretty appalled. And the pizza was bad! We eat at Boston Pizza all the time in the lower mainland and it's always super delicious, but this pizza was quite terrible. One pizza had an overly doughy crust and the other was just....dry! The icing on the cake was the ranch dip, which contained a piece of Boston Pizza tape!!! Honestly, BP, you guys need to eliminate the tipping option for pick ups. read more

It's interesting to see the trend of declining reviews for BP on Yelp. I couldn't agree more with the consensus: service here is absolutely horrible. Last time we came in we sat in the Lounge. As other reviewers have said, we immediately felt unwelcomed and were not greeted for 10-15 minutes. My wife and I ordered a beer, 10-15 more minutes pass I get up to go to the hostess stand as there's no sign of our waitress (who is also behind the bar). Their exact words "yahhhh I'm sure she's around somewhere" - I was shocked. Beer finally comes. But wait... Not EITHER of the beers we ordered. We mention this, she replies with "yah I wasn't sure" and walks away!!!!! Doesn't take then back, get us what we actually ordered, or anything. Again, she's gone for at least 15 minutes. We wanted to order Lunch, but literally couldn't. That's the third strike for BP North Nanaimo, all because of service staff. read more

Yeah..... Boston pizza, you used to be awesome. Sitting in your lounge we felt like we were in a cold dark prison with a server who wasn't all that motivated to serve us. The pizzas were average.. This was the first time we'd been to BP in a few years... Didn't feel like a welcoming or friendly place... About four servers chatting away at the doorway.. Got take out delivered not far from the restaurant. Very mediocre food. Has gone downhill over the years.

After almost 3 years of living in Fort McMurray and NEVER having a correct take away order from BPs, I thought my problems were solved when my first order from the Nanaimo Boston Pizza appeared to be correct. The service was decent, but upon arriving home (I live 10 minutes away), our Thai bites were already soggy, and my honey garlic oven baked wings, were in fact boneless hot wings (so soggy that they were mushy). It appears that order accuracy is not a big priority at any Boston Pizza. Oh well. read more

Absolutely awful: Waitress was super rude - Dec 27, 2017 at noon...lady with hair dyed bright red. She got offended over my use of the word "damn"...I didn't even use it against her - I merely commented "jeez, those damn women at the next table were sure annoying". We have tried delivery in north Nanaimo 3 times in the last 5 months. I generally really like their food. The first time the pizza was barely warm. I spoke to the manager and he said they had just started to use new delivery bags that were a lot better. The next time two weeks ago, I ordered two large pizzas and wings (crispy with sauce on the side). One of the pizzas, Greek, was missing the feta and tomato, the rest was good. They offer to send another replacement but we had guests and did not want to wait. Two days ago we tried again. One large Greek pizza with oven baked wings and medium hot sauce on the side. The pizza was warm and the wings were covered in sauce! I called them back right away and asked for a manager, no one in until the next day she said. She took my name and number and said a manager would call me back the next day. That was yesterday and no one called yesterday or today. I grew up eating at the original Boston pizza in Edmonton and the Nanaimo location is a disappointment. If you order delivery be prepared for warm food. Good luck! I received a call from Mariko a manager shortly after posting my experience. She was nice enough to drop off a few vouchers at our home. We are pleased that she took the time to hear our experience and actually do something about it. We are trying them again tonight so I hope all goes well. read more

This Boston pizza has the worst service I have had in Nanaimo. The waitresses are always distracted, there's always a wait for a table, when there is clearly open tables. And I told my server I had a dairy allergy, and asked if the dip for cactus cut chips had dairy. She told me she would check and came back with the chips and set it down and didn't say anything. I started eating them and had a feeling there was dairy. I checked online and sure enough it is full of dairy. Very disappointing I will never eat here again. read more

This is the place you go when no one can decide on a place or when your 5th grade soccer team won gold at the tournament. It's just boring and predictable. I believe the one vegan option is a cheese less pizza, which isnt great but is better than fries and a side salad. Don't have such high expectations. I mean, c'mon. Had probably one of the most dreadful dining experiences in recent memory. The place was dirty (tables and floor) and it seemed a bother when we asked a table to be cleaned off for us. There was absolutely no service to our table. We waited over 45 minutes for our food, all the while never being checked on if we wanted refills on our drinks or to acknowledge the long wait we were experiencing. We finally had to ask about our food. In the whole time we waited, we saw numerous other tables being served their food and drinks as well as being checked on repeatedly. One table had friends of our waitress and even though they arrived well after us, they were able to eat, drink, and leave before we even had finished our food. We had to wait again to receive our bills. The repeated lame excuse was that it was busy - I have dined all over the world and other restaurants can flawlessly handle when they're busy - or at least communicate with their patrons. The lack of service was inexcusable and the quality of food was mediocre. We certainly appreciated the 50% off we received our meals but we will not return. It is probably the first time in my life I have not tipped at a restaurant (usually quite generous and above the average tipper). Nanaimo has many other fabulous restaurants in the city that will be receiving my business from now on. All the other chains in the city do a much better job. read more

My husband and I like eating here good pizzas pastas. Other than the other night bad experience on Friday February 1st My Husband and I came to have dinner after the Clippers game around 9:45 and I ordered Pizza was really good and my Husband ordered a Burger and after during the night he was sick not sure he said it didn't taste right and didn't finish the whole thing. Extremely Extremely low service. We came into the restaurant at 2 pm, and 15 mins later the water was served and the order was taken. I basically sit there for 30 mins waiting no food. Finally, the appetizer came and I said to the server that it took very long, and her answer was " Everyone is leaving", which means to me she is too busy to payment from others, but no time to serve me. I have been to Boston Pizza numerous times both here in Nanaimo and Victoria. The big difference being the Victoria (Colwood ) serves Starbucks coffee which I'm familiar with and the Nanaimo location coffee is definitely NOT ,tastes like Folgers Compost Coffee....sometimes the Salad is fresh and sometimes iffy ,staff are nice Do a sneak in n order a coffee ,:) will make you to swear off coffee. read more

Terrible. Started off by being sat at a dirty table. Then I watched the waitress 1/2 heartedly wipe another table down, clearly missing lots food. I looked around and noticed that lots of the tables were dirty. Our desert menu was covered in grease. The ledge beside our table was covered in dust, bits of food and even hair - inches from our pizza. Btw, the pizza was undercooked, and was sent back. The waitress didn't apologize, or seemed phased. The pizza was comped, but the bill was closed out before offering to remake the pizza or offer desert. We took this as a message that it was time to leave. When the manager rang up our bill, she asked how dinner was not even noticing the comped pizza. I told her the problems, she didn't really care. Do not come here. What a heart breaking way to end a daddy daughter date. BP - give up and close, it's obvious that you don't care. I am praying that I don't wind up with food poisoning tonight. read more

Ordered takeout from here. What a disapointment. I had the chicken/italian sausage penne pasta. The sausage slices were limp soggy looking things , I thought they were mushrooms at first. The chicken....What chicken...I looked and found a few slimy cubes less than .5" in diameter. Dont get me started on the "Garlic Toast" I should have known better , but our "company" liked food from this type of place..NEVER AGAIN I will give it a few stars for the pizza on behalf of the kids who were visiting. read more

Im a weekly custmer back home off islad but here in Nanaimo, I have never had worse service in my whole life - no exageration! 1 time I ordered for pick up & when i got there apparently it was fight night, so it was definitly cramped, but i managed to make my way through to the desk & finially got the desk girls attention & told her my order but never seen her again. Then I got the attention of the manager after 25 mins of waiting, he says hell get my order, but again never seen him again. After 45 mins of being there I left & noone ever did call me about my order that was never picked up! Then last nights bad experience cost me 50$ for 2 lg pizzas that barely had any topings & was half raw.(I live accross town or I would have gone back. Im that person!) I highly suggest noone goes to this BP's, they dont care about customet service or food quality. What a waste of money & time. It took over 2 hours for our food to arrive. The children in our group started crying from the sheer hunger. One member of our party got the pesto shrimp pasta. There was so little pesto on the noodles that the pasta was ghost white. Another girl started smashing her head on the table and whined incessantly. Two other girls forced their fingers into their eyeballs so they would tear up and the waiters would notice them. Overall, not my best dinner expierence. read more
