She complained that her body is often in pain and can't work when she's in pain, but dismissive of other people's pain and circumstances. Disappointed. I went with 1-800-GOT JUNK and they were empathic, comforting, and patient. They got half the job done within one hour and half the charge. Responding to Lynne's comment after she claimed we never met: we met and you told me you were coming from a doctor's appointment in Agawam, which is what made you late along with traffic in Northampton at 11 AM. You quoted me over $3,600, but needed me to get you exact measurements, which I don't need to do since I realized how I should have been treated. You argued with me over how long my dishes had been sitting out for, then picked up an Item out of my sink to discuss why you believed it had been sitting there for longer than a week, despite me telling you that my spouse cleans them every weekend (you stated it had solidified and it was frozen fudge, which is what things do when they are put in a freezer). You discussed your Girl Scout events and organizational shelving you have for those events. You said you could sell some items for me and you keep some in your boyfriend's mother's home during some part of the year, so it isn't a big deal since you have the extra space. You told me that you were a cancer survivor. I met with you lol. Trust me... longest, most stressful morning of my life. My real review stands.

I am 67 years old and he had a smooth way of adding things to a job quoted at 4,600.00 and adding things on without itemizing costs, taking my checks and cashing quickly. Before I could figure out I was being taken for a ride it was to late, he got the price of the work up to 9,200.00 dollars, a total of three checks. This is how he did it! After quoting me the 4,ooo for 12 shrubs and 600.00 for pruning some trees on the first meeting I agreed and I gave him a down payment check for 2,500.00. A few days latter he arrived to do the job. He pruned much less than what he originally described he was going to prune the day of the quote. After pruning he brought out the 12 shrubs to ware I wanted them and then told me he brought 3 extra shrubs and would I like to add them to the job along with the plants he described as being amazing! I agreed and instead of a 2100.00 balance check I give him 3200.00 for the additional shrubs and plants thinking that would be it. The next day he arrived with the plants and loam but he only brought enough plants for 12 shrubs. That's when he asked for an additional check for 3500.00 after saying he would be back with the other remaining plants for the three other shrubs that he said he forgot about. After looking at what I was spending this much money for, after giving him that last check. I was going to try to stop that last check but it was to late, he already very quickly cashed the last two checks. I should have known better but was under a lot of stress at that time like everyone else with the Pandemic, and a crazy neighbor cutting down trees on her own next to my yard, the main reason why I wanted this landscaping job done. When he arrived for the last time to plant the rest of the additional plants he forgot, with no extra loam, the reason why the plants root system were exposed, I asked him for an itemized account for the job, shrubs, plants, loam, labor etc. he would keep changing the subject to justify the cost for going to the plant nursery in his truck etc., I gave up and he never did give me what I was asking for, I would only be wasting my time to continue! He had a big smile on his face as he was getting back into his truck, that I hope I can hopefully someday soon forget! There was some old cat puke stains in the carpet that I was going to be getting steamed cleaned and I don't know what you mean by he moved my car and cleaned up snow ? So should I pay him to do that because HE offered to do it since he saw I'm disabled? Glad to see you're so busy that you can respond to reviews..lol You couldn't clean a smaller apartment than mine at the time. I don't live there anymore. I'm in a much bigger place now in a much nicer town. God only knows what you would charge now probably $1,000.. Good luck to you! Got an estimate for simple cleaning job of small bathroom with tub, tiny kitchenette and vacuuming of a 12' x14' carpet and a 14' x 14' carpet. No oven, no dusting from waist up in any room. Carpet is indoor/outdoor in both rooms. Easy 1 hour job. Junior quoted a price of $150.00!! I almost fell over! I've been a professional house cleaner I used to work for Merry Maids a couple of decades ago I know prices went up on things since then but I also know there's no heavy cleaning in my apartment there's no stove refrigerator to clean no dusting from the waist up no dusting little things No bed making, no laundry, no dishes.. just vacuum two rooms' low pile carpet, vacuum the bathroom and kitchenette, mop kit and bath floors, clean the tub disinfect the toilet all that comes to $150? Way overpriced if you ask me and its an easy 1 hour job. I specifically told them not to clean the oven don't clean the refrigerator maybe I clean the refrigerator once cuz I pretty much wipe it down myself and I don't use the oven. I'm sure they probably clean well but not $150 for the tiny 2 room studio I am in.
