I can definitely see why it's such a popular venue for weddings. Parking is very easy with a relatively spacious lot. It's handicap friendly. The GPS instructions were accurate. Be sure to check out their social media or call their number to stay up to date on weekend closures for private events before visiting. The wedding season is around March to November. Communication for event space rentals is by email only. During the wedding season they may a little slower to reply but they always did reply eventually. For weddings they tend to book out about two years in advance for weekends. If you ask about Fridays there may be some same year availability. As a non-profit they are a relatively affordable venue. Weddings require almost full day rentals. But something else like a baby shower or memorial can be rented out by the hour with a minimum time. They require a permit to be purchased for professional photos. But it's a modest price and goes to a good cause. It's $75/hour for the photo permit and for a garden use permit like a small gathering it's $300. Walnut Creek is lucky to have such a beautiful gem. I highly recommend checking them out!

I've never ran into shady characters here. Those I have met have been nice and welcoming. There's two playgrounds here. One has a gate/fence surrounding it. I don't necessarily trust that one because people like to let loose their dogs into it and never pick up the poo. There's a nice little loop that people can ride their bikes/scooters/etc around or even run/jug around. I tend to go on that when I go run. There's a basketball half court that always good to use. There's not a lot of seat it here. One table. Two benches. Plenty of parking around this area. If you live in it, obviously you got your garage, but you can park on the street. THERE SHOULD BE A WATER FOUNTAIN. Like what's the deal with that? It gets hot out. Overall, this park has been useful to me and to the neighborhood. It's mostly clean. But Alfredo's team takes it a step further. Our front yard has many trees, bushes, and plants which Alfredo properly takes care and trims them with care. Many of our friends let us know how beautiful our yard looks and have asked for referrals. Pricing wise, Alfredo is fair and reasonable. There are so many overrated parks around - this is not one of them. I think its an underrated park in an underrated city. Martinez is one of these cities that just isn't Walnut Creek or Danville or Orinda. A more affordable city and a family friendly one. Its good to get out and take a walk. I recommend you do that once in a while and why not try a different park from what your used to every once in a while? If you have a dog they will particularly love it sniffing around someplace new. Some of the park is noticed from the main road - Morello. You might even see some people enjoying the basketball hoop from there. Just the 'curb appeal' of the park will get you interested to see more. When I got here with Sweets had in gear this launch mode I hadn't seen since he was a bit younger. His enthusiasm was intense and I was surprised since for the most part he just likes to stay at home - Netflix and chill. There really is something for the whole family to enjoy here. A very underrated park that you need to make time to see one day soon.
