My five years old niece and nephew obviously struggle a lot, but it was nice to come out still a winner. The selection was decent. Not every machine had name brand, but that's expected at all claw machines. Value is decent as well since it's roughly $1/play depending on how much you purchase. Parking for this establishment is in the back. We spent about 45 minutes inside, but between the four (three kids under 8 and myself) we also had the $100 package for tokens. There aren't too many spots like this in the Bay area and we are always down for unique new experiences so decided to come here. The owner was so kind and had his kids there helping out attentively. He gave us some tips to play and luckily both kids came out with plushies- my youngest got his favorite Warriors plushie which completely made his day. We walked out with 3 plushies and a few toys we purchased from their selection. My oldest was able to trade for a different plushie in the same claw machine which he appreciated. I recently did a tour of claw machine arcades in the area (Cali Claw in Concord, Starbunni in Danville, Claw Meee in Milpitas and Round 1 in both Concord and Hayward) and Cali Claw by FAR exceeded the rest in terms of customer service. The owners are helpful and polite and have given my family tips when we go. They've repositioned prizes to help my daughter when she's having a tough time winning a plush she wants and have also surprised her with an extra token which helps make her day. The owners also encourage you to try to win whatever is easiest to grab in the machine and you're able to switch it out for whatever plush you like most in the same machine. When compared to other claw arcades the selection of plushes in the machine aren't my favorite but they have adorable ones in their trade up section. I honestly wish I could give more than 5 stars! We were looking for something fun for the kids to do this weekend and came across this on Yelp. After reading reviews, we knew we had to come and see this place for ourselves. We have a 5 and 2 year old and they've been obsessed with claw machines lately. Unfortunately, we usually walk away with nothing and practically would've been better off just throwing our money in the trash. Not at this place though! First off, the value is already more bang for your buck than any other claw machine place we've been. Usually it costs us a few dollars per try, if not more. Each machine only cost a token and the tokens are $1/ea. If you buy more, it's even less per token. Admittedly we spent way too much but the kids had so much fun and kept winning over and over again. The owners were so sweet and kept resetting the machines so the kids would have an easier time winning a prize! If we won something from the machine but wanted another variation inside, they would swap it out. My daughter got Kuromi but really wanted Melody so we were able to trade. They were also extremely patient with my kids while they were deciding what to trade up to. Speaking of which, if you win enough plushies, you can trade up to better plushies or open a "plushie bank account" where you give them back the plushies and get plushie credits in return for a future visit. Cali Claw is THE spot for a fun claw game experience. I went to Cali Claw with my husband for my birthday as a little fun activity to do before after my birthday lunch. We came on a Sunday afternoon and there were a couple groups there but plenty of space and machines to play. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and they explained the machine costs and the value token deals they have. As of January 2025, it's 1 token for a large machine play and 1 token gets you 2 plays on the smaller machines, with a dollar per token. They are very nice and threw in a couple extra tokens for us as trial tokens to try and get the hang of the machines. Now my spouse and I are no pros and are actively pretty bad at claw machines but even we left with a cute Sanrio themed plushie after a dozen or so tries. I saw them rearrange the plushie in the middle of our visit which made it much easier to grab. I even saw them get up and help with a mom and her 2 daughters advice on how to snag a plush they were going for. When we finished our tokens, they even gave us an extra token each as a last chance bonus when we returned the token tray. However, here at Cali Claw, one token at a big machine gives you one play, and one token at a small machine gives you two plays. Service here is top notch. If you feel like you can't get access to winning a plushie, the owner will help you by adjusting the toy to make it easy to win. He will also give you tips and tricks on where to grab in order to win. What I also like about this place is let's say you win a plushie at the machine, but you wanted a different plushie that was offered in that same machine, you can do a trade which is awesome! They offer various sizes of plushies and they have a trade in system where if you wanted to get the enormous plushie that is worth like 16 plushies, you can put your name into their system and trade in x amount of plushies.
