I was hunting for the Large Watch Belt in the color Amber, to match my bag... this new color is very hard to find in any store. I called the Bay Area stores and this location at Valley Fair Mall. Jordan, the manager, anwered. He said he could order it for me and it would arrive in a couple of days and handle any returns for me if it wasn't the correct fit. Long story short, I ended up exchanging it a couple of times beause the sizing was slightly off... went back and forth. Jordan assisted me patiently and even had the belts couriered to me so we had a better time of receipt at my home across the bay. I ended up getting the belt I wanted all with the help of Jordan. Ambience (5/5) This review is a little late. We were lucky enough to visit when the store was recently renovated. Our awesome SA Marco showed us the new areas/photo op spots (lol) and we had fun looking around. There's a lower and upper level. The lower level is primarily where their more popular merchandise is situated (bags, jewelry) whereas the upper level is comprised of clothing and shoes. The green dressing rooms are on the upper level. Service (5/5) I had a great experience with Marco. He was very professional and hospitable, and as mentioned above, encouraged us to tour the newly renovated store with the bag I was interested in (Cassette in Thunder) to try it out. He pulled out just about every color of the rainbow so that I could try on and gave helpful feedback. Overall, I would revisit this store. Be careful when you make a return at the store. When we returned a gift in 2021, the store issued store credit in the form of a gift card. It was fine until we wanted to use the gift card two years later. It turned out the store issued the gift card in the name of the original purchaser (in our case, the person who gifted us the item) even though we had held the physical gift card, thinking that we could use it whenever we wanted. When we went to use the store credit in 2023, the card was declined. After some research, the store told me that the card was used by the original purchaser. The store could not do anything and refused to honor the credit. They essentially "stole" the credit from us. They should not have issued the store credit in the name of original purchaser whose intention was to give the gift away. Really bad experience. read more

Really great customer experience when I check out the bottega boutique a few weeks ago. The sales assistant was friendly and knowledgeable about the house and products. I got to try on a lot of the pieces and get a feel for how they wore. One of the best things about Bottega is that you can take in your Bottega bag to get serviced like if it needs a cleaning or the hardware needs a touching up, it's an extra cost but that's always good to know in case something happens. I was in such a manic rush, going from store to store, that Yelp check-ins were not keeping up with me. I obviously can quickly scan, shop, & maybe buy, way quicker than the standard Yelp settings. I am sure that they have a longer delay to discourage rampant check-ins, but hey, I do actually shop that way, when I am in a rush to cover as many stores as possible. If they do not have what I want (like a masculine shopping Tote), I take a quick look at their offerings & rapidly move on. I have visited two of BV's sisters stores a few times before (South Coast Plaza & in Carmel-By-The-Sea) and was alway impressed by both their friendly service & the handsome woven leather bags & things. Even though I have been a relative sucker for some overpriced Lux bags (& purchased such various sized items from Bailey, Tumi, LV, Gucci, Coach, Fossil, Ferragamo, etc...over the years), somehow mens' BV bags & wears, seem to be kind of a one dimensional one-trick pricey pony. The woven leather does look handsome in the store, but based on my woven leather belts, such a process does not wear well. In fact, I use black & brown magic markers on my belts to prolong their life. Can I compare a $20-50 woven leather belt with BV stuff? Sure I can, I am a Yelper :) They did show me a fairly handsome masculine bag that was a little over $1,000, but it did not have a zipper, nor were the handles long enough to place on your shoulder for shopping. I had a couple of folding Tumi nylon bags that really worked well, but who knew where my wife put them? In this episode of my manic rush on this trip from Lux store to Lux store (Goyard, Ferragamo, LV, Longchamp, Hermes, etc..) I kind of ran out of time and forgot to go to the Tumi store. I had to get back to Langs to pick-up my now polished Heirloom Star Sapphire ring & take a quick cab ride back to the Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf to rescue my wife complete check out, and "rocket" away in my Hybrid to make a few more pit-stops on the long road back home (in the SLO area). Those included the marvelous K & L Wine store on 4th, that carried an amazing rare Champagne (Laurent-Perrier Grand Siecle) that I tried in Gary Dankos two night before, buying almost 100 cans/bottles of great gourmet tuna & salmon wholesale at the Cupertino Whole Foods Market, and last, but not least, stopping briefly to visit my little niece & nephew. To see how they liked the new deluxe Costco backyard playground that I ordered. They loved the Playground, wife loved her new Swarovski Jewelry box, & I loved both my Lux ring, while I munched on Ventresca Tuna, straight from the Olive Oil Bottle... Maybe one of these days, I will spring for a BV item, but not on this manic trip. I did find BV's service to be friendly and helpful, and not snobby like that of Hermes around the corner, where the security guy followed me around & not a sales person. I found that the service ranged from best in the following order: Lang's, Longchamp, Swarovski, BV, LV, Goyard, to a distant worst, Hermes (dead last). In the LUX Zone, the most reasonably priced luggage can be found at either Tumi or Longchamp. But, if your are going for the Lux $1k and up baggage, BV is a solid & classy choice & way cheaper than crappy Hermes, or the crappy canvas based products at LV, Goyard, and others. I still have & use, my decade old Napa full leather extensive Tumi set that was discontinued long ago....as well as, my "bullet-proof" Zero Halliburton /Rimowa cases that protect my laptop & stuff. BV's also appears to have a great repair record for most....but I wonder about durability since I have never had any of my other bags needing "service", nor repairs. I purchased 4000 dollars for their "50th Anniversary limited edition' but I found this collection been wholesale after 6 months with sold for 1966, more color, more number, more perfect. I ask for customer service tried to solve it in some ways but most of the times they suggest me to contact the store I purchased. Then I came back to the San Francisco store with my new bag this Thursday tried to talk to the manager. The manager was so rude, never seen such a person like her. She let me leave the contact said I can wait, I was asked if she could give me an approximate date. She said： "I don't have definable time" with a hideous glare," I know you are telling the truth but there is nothing I can do for you. Now I ask you to leave." And she has walked away meantime. I was shocked completely!!! I said I must let more customer know it！ Guesses how awesome she did then? She calls the security come to me and threaten me. No wonder they still need so many security here even they always slow. Because of this manager here need them to bite for her. I have had the hardest time in my lifetime. Hands down BEST customer service I've ever received. Emma responded very quickly to my inquiry and got me set up with her manager Michael since she wasn't working the day I was coming in. She responded so quickly to my questions and made sure I knew who to ask for. Michael is such a gem he was super patient and showed me the bags I was inquiring about. I purchased the black turn bag but decided the next day I actually liked green better. I was willing to make the hour drive back to SF, but Michael said he could send me a shipping label to do the exchange if that was easier. Michael is so accommodating and understanding when it came to me being indecisive. I highly recommend anyone shopping here to look for Michael and Emma! Worst customer service, they don't accept returns on faulty items, even after having the bag for 5 days! I recently purchased a bag from bottega veneta and I wore the bag out twice and I noticed the color was wearing off the leather so I went back to the store to return it after 5 days of having it and they said they cannot give me a refund or exchange, they have to send the bag to Hong Kong to be assessed by their team and will let me know the outcome. And so I waited a month for the whole process, I checked in a few times to see if they heard anything, the manager did not want to talk to me, the sales associate that sold me the bag was the person who dealt with the entire refund which I found odd, and after asking if they heard anything, he told me that the bag was sent to Italy for "further assessment" Then they got back to me a week later saying it was not a quality issue, therefore they can only give me store credit. Then I went into the store to see if I wanted to exchange for anything, and this gold pouch I was interested was also damaged underneath- The gold foil was coming off and you could see the beige leather underneath! I asked why that was happening on a brand new item and he said it's because it's old and sent from another store I sussed out my options and decided I really wanted a refund. They refuse to give me a refund so I called the customer care on the bottega website and I told them the story, and their responses was also "I'm sorry for this experience but we cannot refund you, only store credit" Is this normal for luxury stores to do this to their customers? The month previously I spent $12,000 on 2 bags. Which the bags are starting to wear off even having them for 3 months. I don't understand why they are making it so difficult to get a refund? They are SO stingy! I'm SO disappointed and upset. I've had amazing experiences with Louis Vuitton. WAY more professional and they actually service their customers. They keep repeating to me all they care about is what's best for the client, but they refuse to give me a refund on an item I had for only 5 days?! When their policy is 14 days! If I had more money than our national debt, I wouldn't shop here, mostly cuz even with that much money, you'd still be broke after shopping here and honestly, is the stuff really all that much better than the stuff you can find with a keen eye and a good sense of style at H&M? Let me preface this review by saying that, up until a few weeks ago, I was a DIE-HARD Bottega fan. I love the look of their woven leather (so much that I seriously considered dropping an enormous portion of my paycheck on one of their purses - until I realized that it was more than a month's rent) and over the years have accumulated key chains, purses, shoes and wallets in various colors thanks to family and friends being well-versed in my Italian passion. I made my very first Bottega purchase (in the South Coast Mall store) this past summer following a promotion: a pair of classic black woven flats that I rationalized by telling myself I would wear them EVERY DAY. And I did. And then, a mere 3 months later, I was surprised to find that I had worn through the sole - to the leather - on each shoe. This has NEVER happened to me before - even in my cheapie $40 flats - and I dropped over five hundo on these shoes. When I walked into this BV store and told them my problem - and that I didn't think that my shoes should be worn through after a mere 3 months - they totally failed to stand by their product and casually informed me that they "do not do repairs". Although they recommended a cobbler for my shoes, the cost of repair was $90 - another pair of shoes in itself! BV taught me one of my most expensive lessons, and I'll NEVER be buying from them again - no matter how beautiful the weave. It just goes to show that a hefty price tag does not translate to high quality. Total disappointment. read more

As promised, an update on how my experience was with my damaged bag. Upon arrival at the store to take a look at the identical bag they had shipped in from another store, I immediately noticed this bag had the same damage my current bag had. They determined that it would be best to exchange the bag I currently had for the one shipped in since the damage was less extensive and could easily be repaired. I expressed concern that I would have to travel into the city 3 weekends in a row because of this debacle and he told me not to worry and that he would ship me the bag as soon as he made sure it was properly repaired. As promised, about a week later, I had my beautiful bag in hand, looking perfect. -- In addition to this, I had emailed a question to Bottega Veneta's website asking what products they use to protect and clean their handbags since I had just purchased one. They emailed me back in a day and told me they'd just send me bottles of what they used. I received two brand new regular sized bottles of cleaner and protector. Fabulous!!! Sales people are really nice here and don't pressure you to buy things, which is nice compared to other high brand stores in Waikiki where I normally shop where the sales people are too aggressive. The clothing is great but it's the leather baby, luggage, handbags, wallets that are sublime. You can keep those overpriced tacky black nylon bags with those triangular metal logos. Take away the triangular metal logos and what do you have? A tacky black nylon bag from Kohl's. I feel the same about LV, Gucci and all the rest of that vulgarity BV is above all that. I purchased the chain cassette bag from Bottega Venetta Phipps Plaza on April 11, 2021. I elected to ship the bag to my home in NC to save on taxes. The bag arrived two days later packaged in only a dust bag. No tissue paper to protect the beautiful gold chain. Clearly, I received the store display everyone has touched and the sales associate threw on the counter during the transaction. After an email and three calls to client services, I was told the store has contacted me which is not true and it is standard practice to ship merchandise in just the dust bag. I called the store today and Carmen, the story manager, is conveniently not available. I'm so unhappy and I want a brand new bag! My favorite place to buy shoes? Bottega Veneta. Hands down the best selection and highest quality I can afford (sometimes). They also have delicious handbags and small leather goods. Beatiful leathers, timeless designs, and exceptional craftsmanship. These are shoes that can handle the mileage I put on them, too, which is unusual to find in high-end ladies' footwear. These boots truly were made for walking. And with a spike heel like that, you'd better hope it's not all over you. Top-notch service and helpful, knowledgeable staff soothe the sting of dropping this kind of money on leather goods. *I have had two pairs of their boots for several years and they are still in beautiful condition. Really love Bottega Veneta bags, their stuff for men is great too. I accidentally dropped my Bottega wallet at Costco after getting gas, some car drove over it, got picked up by a guy, he found my business card and called me and I went to his house to pick it up. Anyway, the wallet survived being driven over by a car pretty well, but a small part of the stitching broke. I called the BV store in SF and asked if they would help me repair it. They told me to just bring it in and I was told it would take up to 3 weeks. I dropped it off one weekend and got a called from them the following week telling me it was fixed. I told them I'll ask my gf to pick it up for me and to charge my credit card over the phone for the repair cost, they told me there would be no charge, they repaired it free of charge! it's great when companies take care of their customers like this, it's great for them too coz now I'm definitely gonna go back when I need more leather goods... The people at the store are always very helpful (and great looking too ;) ), my gf and I were there one weekend and she was checking out some of the bags, the lady there told us there would be a private sale the following week and that bag she liked would be marked down 30%. We were even tipped off that there was going to be a sale at the end of the month for the specific bag we wanted and were told we could save quite a bit as the bag was a seasonal color. Our rep was very attentive and was very helpful in helping us choose what we wanted, without pressuring us into making a purchase we might have later regretted.
