I went in expecting typical streetwear/kicks service which is never usually good however Jorge was not like that whatsoever. He not only greeted me very kindly but didn't hesitate to provide any help that I needed. He helped me find sizes for shoes and shirts. I even picked up a Nike windbreaker before I was ready to buy the one shirt I picked out and he went to grab a new one instead of letting me grab the one from the rack. My partner was visiting SF for the first time in over a decade and gave me a list of places he wanted to check out...and Nice Kicks was one of them! This shop is so sleek and had such a great design. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They did showcase a variety of didn't shoes and also had some cool apparel on sale as well (I missed getting anything in my size from the Converse x Keith Haring collab so it was nice to grab a shirt in!). Giving it 4 stars because my girl and I actually like the manager Kevin. Real chill and respectful dude. This one is actually funny because another reviewer mentioned how no one spoke to them. Well, my girl and I get swarmed like bees to two honey jars when we walk in. I work for Apple so while I appreciate the communication and customer service, it can make for quite an unpleasant visit when a sales rep is showing you shoe after shoe after shoe that you have no interest in. I get it....kinda because I never worked a commission based job before, but you're almost guaranteed a sale if you allow a customer some actual room to breathe and think. My girl and I are the kind of people that could walk in that store and drop $500 a piece like it's nothing, or we can try on every shoe in the joint and STILL walk out empty handed by choice. Pretty plain and simple. Also, if you're gonna sale me a shoe, be genuine and passionate about it. If you wouldn't buy it, what makes you think I will? Ask your customers questions like where are they from. Different regions got different tastes in shoes. I'm from DC...all we wear are foamposites, Nike boots, and new balance. Showing me a pair of vans or adidas anything is a waste of my time AND yours. This is called "probing." Again, love the communication with the service. I really do. But the hovering on shoulders like a vulture sales tactic is hit or miss...and in most cases a miss. read more

I love poppin in here every now and then to see what's new and if anything catches my eye. I love how bright it is in the store, and the music is always on point. Staff are always super helpful and friendly. I also appreciate how the store in merchandise, it really helps that it's not too cluttered but every space is used making it so that you kind of snake through the store to take everything in. I have yet to get lucky at Nice Kicks (I should've bought those Valentines pink/red Nike AirMax (90s!!!!!!) but my boyfriend usually does score a pair or two of sneakers here. I have purchased a tie-dye t-shirt here when it was on sale, and the quality is amazing -- it's one of my favorites! All in all, Nice Kicks is worth a visit and I'd much rather spend my money here than at any of the big box sneaker stores! read more

The guy that helped us was a total dick. Doesn't seem to be interested in making a sale or being a courteous person.

I've been in 2x and both times excellent customer service. I came in today to buy the Nice Cream× Asics Collab, the gentleman that helped me was an absolute sweetheart, I know funny to call a man that but he was. He gave me good advice regarding the size and let me try both sizes without an issue or an attitude. I'd recommend this store over undefeated in Hayes Valley any day, they are way more nice and approachable. Best of luck :) read more

I brought my teenage daughter here for back to school and we found some shoes asap she was looking for. Kevin helped us and was very nice and informative and gave her lots of info on shoes that was helpful to her. side note: we went to second location on Haight and I don't think the salesperson meant harm but she literally followed us around the perimeter of whole store, walking little by little as we moved and it was very uncomfortable and unnecessary. read more

There is a nice selection of shoes and I purchased a pair of Arizona Birkenstocks. -1 star because they're charging $135, when they're $99 from Birkenstock with free shipping. I get it, it's San Francisco and rent is expensive, but I still feel a little cheated. read more

I would absolutely never ever ever buy anything ever again. I received a pair of Yeezy 350 v2 in mail I ordered on August 11, 2022. The courier left them on the porch and I immediately went outside and grabbed them. The shipping box was ripped open as well as the shoe box and the contents were completely empty. I called Nice Kicks to complain they basically said their hands are washed of the package once it has shipped. So now I am out $260 because you say it's the couriers fault how do you know one of your employees did not take them. I have spent money at this establishment on multiple occasions. Never ever again would I buy something here and I would recommend the same to anyone else ordering from them. They could not even guarantee a package that was only shipped and hour away. Nice Kicks on Valencia had a grand opening recently. Firstly, they had a great way to start new business with loads of anticipated sneakers. Most of all, great customer service and regulation from Kevin and team! If you're trying to get the latest drops, this may be the store for you. Ordered a pair of yeezy boost carbon slate. There was a few things that didn't check out. The boost was to hard. The tags where off. The box was slightly bigger and the smell!! The smell was so strong. Which leads me to believe that they sold me fakes!!! It's sad how a reputable company are selling fakes. Came to the store this past Friday (2/12,) when I first walked into the store I was greeted by Amir. I believe he was either the owner or manager, I can't recall, either way he was incredibly welcoming with me and everyone else that had walked into the store. It's been a couple of years since I came to this store and they remodeled everything. It looked cool before, but now it looks hella clean and your attention immediately darts to all the shoes. Nice Kicks has good selection of Nike, Adidas, Converse, Vans, NB, Jordan's, Asics, and Pumas. I appreciate that the staff is very personable and they aren't pushy when it comes the shoes, it feels like they let the products speaks for themselves. I ended up buying some Nike Killshots, I will be back to buy more shoes as much as my wallet says no. read more

I was in that store for a least 15 minutes and not a single associate talked to me. I've worked retail for years and am fine with minimal customer service. I'm aware that associates have other responsibilities, with that said I know it takes little effort to at least say hi to someone or smile in their direction. On my way out I noticed the hiring sign. Wow I loved my experience in this store. The sales person Sharlene's service is fantastic. Her knowledge of shoes is excellent and she patiently walked me through different choices until I made my final choice. She even applied the oil on the shoes to protect it from the rain. I bought a fantastic pair of boots from locally made Sutro. Fantastic service and great selection of shoes . I'll come back for sneakers since their sneaker selection is fantastic as well. So this is my first negative yelp ever. I was so offended and I feel so cheated by the manager, who seemed happy to take my money for shoes that don't fit. I have the same exact complaint as Jade P. I went in yesterday and bought a pair of shoes, I chatted with the sales clerk and I myself spent about 20 minutes looking for the box for the shoes, but we couldn't find it so they sold it without the box. I got home and realized I had bought shoes that were the wrong size- I came back today, and sought out the guy who sold me the shoes, I said remember me? I'm the one without the box:-) and let him know I had accidentally bought the wrong size and he said he didn't think he could take them without a box! Then he got his manager who was incredibly rude and insisted that it didn't matter if I was confused about the size because he had said it out loud. He also pointed to a sign that said no returns that NO ONE had pointed out to me and which is NOT on the receipt and insisted that he told me. He pushed the shoes back at me and said "they're yours now," as if he would prefer that I spend money I don't have to spare on shoes that I never wore outside of the store and that do not fit me. He was also sure to tell me what great reviews he gets online for his customer service :-D read more
