Yikes! I called McDonalds and spoke with Ryan who was to my great relief delightfully friendly and reassuring. Within a couple of hours, just ahead of the big snowstorm, Ryan had the tank topped off and the furnace warming the place before my water pipes were at risk. Overall, I was satisfied with the installation, aside from a few configuration changes they made that didn't match how my previous system's backup switch operated. While it took some getting used to, it wasn't a major issue, and I was otherwise happy with the system. Last night, my system developed what appeared to be a minor ignition issue. I called the company's after-hours service line and left a message. Robin, the on-call representative, returned my call promptly, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the conversation quickly became disappointing. Before I could fully explain the problem, I was interrupted and told that the company showed I had not purchased propane from them within the past year. I was then informed that, despite spending thousands of dollars on a custom system they designed and installed, they would not service it unless I was buying propane from them. What was most frustrating was not just the policy itself, but the way it was communicated. The tone came across as annoyed and condescending, making me feel like my business and prior investment meant very little. When you spend over $18,000 with a company for a specialized heating system, you reasonably expect that they will at least provide service or support when an issue arises. If this is RJ. McDonald's policy, it should be made very clear before customers invest in one of their systems. I understand businesses can prioritize customers in different ways, but refusing to service equipment they installed simply because I purchase propane elsewhere is disappointing and, in my opinion, poor customer service. Based on this experience, I would encourage anyone considering a custom HVAC installation to ask detailed questions about future service policies before signing a contract.

I then called with the Q about inspecting 2 other flues as option for proper estimate then a 3rd call I made to let her know I see on Yelp they do this and upset customers routinely. A week or so later I was sent a bill from Done Right for nearly $400 dollars. I called, stating this must be a mistake, and that I was just looking for a quote. I was informed that Done Right does not give out free quotes. This information was never communicated to me, not during the initial booking to have them come out, nor was this mentioned once their crew arrived at my home. The most infuriating part is that they came to the same conclusion as the other companies, and that I had a faulty cap. I have been a home owner for over 10 years and have never had an experience like this before. They were utterly unwilling to come to any kind of compromise with me over the lack of communication.

I was explained the cost structure ($150 for anything less than an hour) and everything in advance when booking the appointment, which was good. The technicians (who were extremely knowledgeable, helpful and professional) came over to assess the situation and agreed that the leak was coming from the bathroom. They also cut a hole in the kitchen ceiling to assess the extent of the water damage and confirmed the general area where the water was coming from. They were able to confirm this, but were not able to perform any repairs or further assessment of the problem and told me to contact the company again to get a quote for replacing/updating the faulty shower, which I did. That was over two weeks ago. Since then, I've followed up twice to see what the quote would be for the work and have received nothing. I essentially paid $175 to be told something I already knew and have a hole cut in my ceiling which can't get repaired until the leak is fixed which they seem to have no interest in doing.

We ordered 100 gallons of oil at $3.49 a gallon and they claimed to have delivered it, but never…read moredid. I attempted to contact them via Facebook (they read the message but chose not to respond) and I also emailed the owner and received radio silence. We finally had time to call and they agreed that their driver messed up and said they would we refund us. During that time I had ordered another 100 gallons at $3.59 with a note mentioning their earlier mistake, hoping to be charged the $3.49 a gallon (it was about 5 days later). They ended up refunding us for the $3.49 a gallon order and not the $3.59 gallon order. So because of their mistake we paid an additional 10 cents a gallon. My issue is more of the fact that they knew they messed up and it was up to us to call and fix their mistake and that they ignored all written correspondence. They should have refunded us for the the 2nd order that we paid $3.59 a gallon for, not the first order of $3.49 a gallon.
