Roxy, who turns 11 in June, is a double doodle (half golden doodle, half labradoodle) and an absolute sweetheart. She got along well with the other two dogs, and I received reassuring texts and pictures to let me know she was doing fine. Plus, she came home smelling great--not that typical "I've been around 100 dogs" odor. K9 Stay & Play is exceptionally clean; every area is meticulously maintained, both inside and outside. Completely unacceptable treatment of animals…read more I witnessed a dog in this facility's care left outside in extreme NYC heat for over 40 minutes -- with no shade, no water, and on scorching pavement. The dog was panting heavily, visibly distressed, and trying to avoid burning its paws. I timed it myself. This isn't just poor care -- it's animal cruelty, and it's illegal under New York Agriculture & Markets Law § 353. I reported the incident to the police and am now filing official complaints with the ASPCA, Animal Care Centers of NYC, and, if necessary, the District Attorney's Office. If this is how animals are treated when people are watching, I can't imagine what happens when no one is looking. This business should not be allowed to work with animals until they are held accountable. Do better.

Absolutely the worst dog groomer I've ever used in NYC…read more My dog has been professionally groomed once a month for the past 8 years, and any competent groomer knows what a Lhasa Apso haircut should look like. I sent multiple reference photos and clearly said do not shave him. Lhasa Apsos have a double coat, and shaving it can permanently damage the texture. Guess what they did? They shaved my dog. Then they actually tried to argue that he looked like the photos I sent. In what universe? My dog has always had a round face, and they shaved his face down. The owner did call to apologize, but even then she wouldn't admit the haircut looked nothing like the reference photos. Now I'm stuck hoping his coat grows back properly. Shaving a Lhasa Apso changes the coat texture, which leads to matting as it grows back, not to mention it makes him vulnerable to overheating, sun damage, and skin irritation. Any experienced groomer knows this. Beyond that, the place smells terrible. There's no one at the front desk, and you don't get to see where they take your dog or how clean (or dirty) the grooming area actually is. I completely regret bringing my dog here. I only tried this place because we just moved to the neighborhood and our usual groomer is farther away. Lesson learned -- the Uber ride to the Upper East Side is worth it, because this never would have happened at Canine Styles. I will not be coming back.

At her old age, we stopped going to parks b/c the energy was too much for her and her socialization dropped. She loved other dogs and loved to play but we couldn't find the right balance. At one point, the lack of socialization made her extra snappy with other dogs. I heard about All Dogs from another friend (Pepper's best friend's owners) and decided to give them a try. After meeting Francisco, Vanessa, and the team, I knew we found the right place. Their approach to socializing dogs was exactly what we were looking for. I was very nervous to leave Pepper there knowing how finicky she was but in those first few visits, she really came out of her shell. She was always so happy to go to All Dogs and her personality changed for the better. Sadly, Pepper passed away in Feb 2023 from a traumatic event and Francisco was very kind and supportive during that difficult time. I didn't think my husband and I would get another dog so soon but our foster to adopt, Lucy, was one of a kind. Lucy, a 2 year old, seems to lack social skills and may not have been socialized with other dogs. Given our amazing experience at All Dogs, we knew it was the right place to give Lucy a chance to flourish and be the best dog she could be. In the last month, we've also seen Lucy's personality change with other dogs. She's more curious in saying hello to new fur friends in the neighborhood and hopefully she's getting better at understanding various dog energies. A big thanks to Francisco and everyone at All Dogs for giving our fur babies an excellent environment. The staff is always attentive, friendly, and you can tell they really LOVE animals. Plus their Instagram page is always active, so you can watch your dog have a great time. They also have a pool, which is special because who doesn't love footage of doggies swimming happily!
