I just saw this review page! In March two friends, Val Luiz and Barbara Saunders who passed away close to each other were honored with a celebration of life party there at the bowl. Food was served and the bowl provided a pay for your drinks bar. Free Bowling was also included as part of the event celebration and enjoyed by all! We had an amazing time here last Saturday! My brother in law rented out this whole bowling alley in Boulder City for his birthday. He invited his friends and family. There were adults and kids included! What a great time we had that night bowling. We brought in our own food and the bowling alley folks helped all our guests have a great night. Came here for a birthday party! The entire place was rented out for this event. I really enjoyed our time. The staff were extremely friendly and professional. Before anyone was able to play, the rules were explained and the gentlemen stated that the seats were 77 years old and the lanes were old as well which j thought was really neat! They also turned off the lights which made it more "partyish"! There are 8 lanes to play in. They have a variety of bowling balls to choose from. The place does look old but very clean and well maintained. It feels cozy, homey, and we had a great time since everyone there was a part of the party we were able to comfortable walk around everywhere. I would definitely recommend having a party or any even here! My family and I had a great time! read more

Been here a few times and have never had an issue. Service was decent. Staff was easy to work with. Been trying to book an event for 2 weeks now just to be given the run around. Sadly it isn't just 1 employee it's multiple. No one seems to be on the same page. Was told to call back for the manager. Placed on hold and waited for 20 minutes. Called back no answer. Multiple emails. Finally got a date and time frame that works attempted to schedule it asked if they wanted the deposit and what else they needed just to be told that it's already booked. That isn't a way to do business. Maybe update your website to include open time frame and dates. Maybe have a system in place for your employees as no one seems to have a clue. An apology means absolutely nothing when it comes to resolving the issues at hand. Sad cause we have people coming into town and we're looking forward to a truly private event. Doubt we'll ever look at this place for future events. read more

This has to be the cutest little bowling alley I've ever seen! They only have 6 lanes available, so they obviously can't always accommodate walk-ins if they're full (as I saw in other reviews) As an out of stater, I stopped in while searching for some things to do outside of Las Vegas. The woman behind the desk was so sweet and nice and helped set me up for some bowling. The place had so much charm and I was surprised at how cheap it was actually play here. They even have a bar where are you can grab a drink to sip while you play. Definitely a fun stop and I would recommend visiting if you're in the area. read more

We rented out Boulder Bowl for my husband's 55th birthday last night. Highly recommend! All of our guests had a blast. I have to give a lot of the credit to Leslie who ran the whole show single handedly. She was an amazing and incredibly accommodating party host. You can bring in your own food and cake, and they have a well stocked bar to cover the rest. Great mix of music and she even let us go "cosmic". This place is awesome. My bf's sister rented the place out for a private bowling party, nerdy dress up encouraged. The owners and staff are awesome. There were a ton of us and they were very patient, friendly & helpful. I love the super old school bowling lanes. Very Retro cool! There's only 8 lanes, but we had unlimited bowling so it worked out perfect. They played a nice mix of classic rock and popular music and even put up the crazy lights for us. Super fun! The bowling balls are a little hit or miss, but I was able to find one that fit my small hand so I was happy! The bf had a little more trouble finding one, but all in all it was a great time. Highly recommended for a big family gathering. They also let us bring in our own food, which is a huge plus for my family with all our special dietary restrictions. read more

I love our little town of Boulder City and always try and choose local businesses to support. Unfortunately our family has now had two bad experiences at Boulder Bowl. The last time we were here bowling we asked to add another game almost a hour before closing time and we were told no and that they were going to close instead. Tonight we decided to give them another shot. We called ahead and asked if there was open bowling tonight we were told yes and that they closed at 9pm. We arrived at about 6:40 with our family no employee was present so we called. She came from the back of lanes and when we greeted her and asked to bowl we were now told it was for a private party only tonight. I'm not sure what is going on here or if the owner is aware what is happening but it will definitely be the last time we plan to spend our time at Boulder Bowl. read more

This is the third time we've tried to bowl here and each time we've been denied because of parties or leagues. We come in the morning and at night and are turned down each time. Their website doesn't work either so I can't look up when this stuff is happening. And the woman who works in the morning is curt and rude. Great old school place to bowl, I am normally part of a league so with covid I haven't been able to bowl for a long time and was getting antsy, found this place on yelp and went on a Sunday afternoon, there was no wait and staff was friendly, prices are fair. What a treat it was today to visit this Boulder City gem which has been a fixture in BC since 1947. It's the bowling alley in "The Big Lebowski" at one and a quarter scale. Boulder Bowl is small consisting of only eight lanes but is bursting at the seems with old school and small town flare. The only thing missing is the overhead projector manual scoring system. On that note, I am thankful because I need a computer to keep the score for me. All total with two games, shoes and two pairs of socks purchased the total came $14.00. There is no better way to lubricate the bowling joints than with some spirited libations. Boulder Bowl also has a full bar and snack bar all of which were very evenly priced. Boulder Bowl just replaced all there lanes last week. That did not help me much because I suck at bowling but I watched an older gentleman take the pins to town. They just don't make them like this anymore............PERIOD! read more

Can't get anymore retro than this!! Eight lanes. Thats It!! Nothing fancy, You step in this place and you are already in a great mood to bowl. Its modern with computerized score keepers, yet the lanes and the seating area just has that feel from the lost days we had as kids or see on the old movies. The staff (owners) are right there to talk, help and keep the fun going with talk, tips, food or drink.. I suck at bowling, so playing in a real family place where you can talk and laugh without feeling like you are in a warehouse, is great. And affordable! read more

Came her under the Kids Bowl Free summer program where my husband and I bought additonal family passes for us. We fell in love with the bowling ally just by the outside. Walking in to the small 8 lane bowling ally with a vintage feel to it. We played two games each and had so much fun. The only issue we had was my ball had a hard time coming back on time which then caused a backup and several balls came back at one time. You ask "how do I know?" The cool thing is you actually see the ball coming back - see pictures of the middle of the lanes. The place is very clean and the staff are super friendly. We are looking at booking out the bowling ally for an upcoming birthday. We will come again! read more

Dude. DUDE!...dude. Lots of Lebowski jokes and references immediately come to mind as soon as you enter this gem. The owners are awesome. The lanes are nostalgic. The music is classic rock all the time. And the drinks are cheap. Be warned, they always have birthday parties on the weekend during the day. So the whole place is typically booked. Every year they send me an email for kids to bowl free but when you want to take them they give you a hard time about it. The older lady looked the coupon over and over as if its a fraud, then made my 2 yr old wear a size 10 shoe because that's all they had available and it's either wear the shoe or do not bowl. The guy that helped us last year let her bowl in her socks, why was that not an option this time? They send you the coupons so you think they are kid friendly but in fact they are complete opposite. If you want a bad time come here otherwise keep your kids away!! the previous years were mediocre in customer service but after going again today we wont be back for sure read more

Yes, we called a few days ahead each time because we don't live in Boulder City, so going to this place involves us booking hotel rooms those nights. It's a bummer to make plans around it, if a party can pop up and shut the whole place down for an entire evening. ************** One star for a cool outdoor sign. Drove about thirty minutes from Henderson hoping to enjoy sometime bowling with my family. I had a coupon for my son to bowl free and read the instructions to ensure no problems before I left. The female employee in her 60s refused to even look at my coupon. I then showed her my digital coupon as she stated there wasn't a program. Then as my husband stated leta leave and do a yelp she remembered there was a program. she claims the coupon said it had to be printed but I read it out loud to her. She then changed her mind and said no the website does have a coupon but you have to print the coupons out as detailed. i cant print a digital coupon lady after being wrong or being rude? She just did not want my special need child bowling there. The coupon was a scam and she is hateful. read more
