The prices are definitely reasonable. It was only four hours per hour of bowling +5 dollars for shoe rental.. The hours are tricky though they specify that they're open almost 24 hours but there's a hiccup apparently they do league bowling on most days during the afternoon and they are also closed from 4:30 to 6:30 in the afternoons to clean the lanes so I would definitely call ahead of time to see what hours they are using for the day as a website does not mention any of this. Overall, the place was clean. They did have lots of lanes to choose from although they did pack us in lane by lane by lane although lots of lanes were open which I wasn't a fan of. They do have food there as well as a snack bar and even a movie theater right outside the door. read more

The SOUTH POINT BOWLING alley at Southpoint Hotel & Casino is a great venue for some wholesome family fun! Our cost was $4.00/game per person, which included shoe rental. For our party of 10, we requested two lanes, side-by-side, so we could set them up league-style for lane rotation. My family decided to hold a friendly competition of bowling during our annual family day! Two in our group had their bowling ball, but the majority of us used the house bowling balls. The weight of the ball can range from 6 lbs to 16 lbs! I typically throw a 10 lb ball. Although some of us are regulars, we had to educate a few others on bowling etiquette. For example, wait your turn -- don't step onto the approach until the person next to you has bowled. :-) Reservations could not be made for a Saturday afternoon, so we called in advance to ensure open bowling was available. Keep in mind that South Point hosts many bowling tournaments and special events, so its always a good idea to call in advance. I was playing bingo and I've often eaten at the snack bar random things I've had a hotdog popcorn donuts when it comes to the food I've tried corn Asada tater tots. I've had the wings and they are really, really good. You cannot request all flats but you can do mostly flats but yesterday I had a chicken quesadilla and it was amazing. extremely cheesy. It comes with some great salsa I was so impressed. when I return, I will post more pictures again. I did not realize until I was eating this case that I should be helping about it. LOVE THIS PLACE!! Great bowling at great prices. Oh, and they have great drinks and snacks here too. The guy at the counter (so sorry I didn't get his name) is A SUPERMAN. He was manning the counter all by himself; he's fast and efficient, and stayed friendly throughout the entire time. He didn't miss a beat: acknowledged new customers standing on the wrong side of the counter, directed them to the proper side/ to the line, helped the next customer in line, obtained shoe sizes for everyone, got us shoes, checked out other customers, got us a lane... everything happened seamlessly and smoothly. And, he was so friendly and so helpful. I was amazed by him and his excellent service. Now the bowling lanes are GREAT. I love the seating arrangement, where seats for each lane are zig-zagged, to allow for more spaces between lanes. The prices are also very good. Worst bowling center in town. Website says opens 7AM to 2AM. We have gone multiple times on different days and they are never open to the public. It says nothing on the website about this and it's super frustrating to drive to this place to get turned away. I haven't step foot here since the first year they've opened. It's been i think almost 20 years. I've stayed here before and let me tell ya it was fantastic back then. I'm not sure how the rooms are now but everything looks dated, including the bowling alley. Pretty sure they didn't do a remodel here but everything seems to be in working order. They have morning bowling deals I think for a buck a game or something close to it. They also have something like 4 games and a rental show for around $16. Rental shoes by itself is around $4. So do yourself a favor and buy shoes. We obviously were on vacay and didn't bring shoes. Go upstairs from the oysters bar and pass the theatre and you're here. Don't expect a large arcade here. Just only plenty of open lanes. I would say boyds bowling alley is a tad better but this wasn't a bad experience. I have yet to eat downstairs at the oyster bar like the old days. The Southpoint Bowling Center has never done me or my family wrong. We both here quite a bit, especially for various competitions or national bowling tournament. The staff here are very friendly, but are also very, very cautious and protective of their lanes. We haven't had any bad experiences with any of the equipment or any part of the bowling alley was in for repair. Maybe we've been lucky or maybe they do just really take care of the stadium and the bowling center because they know how much United States Bowling Congress relies on them to host different competitions and tournaments. read more

A nice snack bar just to the left of the entrance. A variety of food cravings can be satisfied here. Sugarloaf is an arcade on the left hand side from the entrance and another 21 and over arcade to the right of the snack bar with some games and slots. Plenty of lanes for the beginner to league bowlers. Nice seats with tables for those not playing. Wide center walkway with lockers at the opposite end. Open bowling specials mon-fri, early bird and events specials. Good times for the whole family. Upon our visit there were so many excellent bowlers competing for the semi finals in a tournament. We were lucky enough to witness a perfect score of 300! A moment to sit in awe of this accomplished bowler. Depending on the day or time you go, you might find there's a wait, but they literally have sooo many lanes, it's typically not too long of a wait even if you go on a weekend. They do have leagues going on a lot though, so definitely call ahead and make sure they have open bowling. We came this past weekend just to do something in the afternoon and played two games. The shoes are actually not too bad here, too, and they have a good selection of bowling balls. It wasn't too hard for me to find a ten pound ball. They also have a snack bar that you can purchase food from, which we occasionally do. They also have a bar area, but you have to be 21+ to go in that area, however you can take drinks back to your lane, which is what we ended up doing. They didn't do a pitcher of beer though, for whatever reason. I'm weirdly great at bowling, but wasn't having a great game haha. But it was still so much fun! South Point Bowling is located in the South Point casino resort and it is a perfect for those of us who don't gamble (or is done with gambling for the day.) The rental of shoes and games are fairly priced, (much cheaper than in LA, that's for sure.) The best thing about this spot is that it has an Early Bird Special for $1 games between the hours of 7-9am. (The tricky part is that the time I went, there was a bowling tournament and majority of the lanes were occupied and it was ah hour wait for us who is not part of the tournament. Luckily the staff was cool enough to just put us on their waiting list and honor the $1 game. Which leads me to their Snack Bar. The snack bar in the bowling alley opens up at 7am and serves breakfast. I got a breakfast burrito which is not Mexican. It was a Denver omelette with lots of cheese in a tortilla. Not complaining as I found it was quite good. They also have decently priced concession food like fries, hot wings and sandwiches. Believe it or not, this is a great budget-friendly place to eat at the casino resort. Staff is.. utilitarian. LOL! HUGE bowling alley with over 60 lanes all located within the South Point Casino and Hotel. South Point Bowling (SPB) puts our local bowling alley at home to shame! Came here with the SO because we couldn't go one week without bowling. We found that SPB offers a weekday early-bird special of $1 games, so we made it a mission to wake up after a night of indulgence to take advantage of this deal. Well, it seemed like all the seniors also made this mission as we arrived a couple minutes after opening and already had to be put on the waitlist. Luckily there is a snack bar at this bowling alley, and we partook in a little tater tot breakfast bowl. Definitely tasty and filling and fit for 2 people. We waited at least 1.5-2 hours until our number was finally called, and it was a couple of minutes after the early-bird special ended. Fortunately for us, anyone who grabs a number and waits it out, gets to pay the early bird special rate as long as you play until 10:30AM; then the lanes shut off. We were able to play 3 games each and had so much fun. I liked how the screens show stats and also offered many different themes fit for the whole family. This place is huge and a crazy find in a hotel. Next door, there's even a whole indoor rodeo center. There are maybe 40plus lanes in here along with three rows of theatre seating. It's pretty dab. Servers come around to take your drink order. They have better alcohol but terrible wine options. It's affordable though. The bowling champs apparently go through this every week. I explained my shoulders do not function as they should and asked if I could have bumpers to help me as my arm is not stable and I was told no. They have professional bowling lanes here. I was honored to bowl on the professional league lanes while they were updating one side of the regular lanes downstairs. Oh did I forget to mention this casino/bowling alley had various bowling leagues with cash prizes throughout all seasons. A must try! It's worth the socializing, competitive atmosphere and overall fun! The snack cart in the professional league lane area is very limited (soda, chips, hotdogs) and the snack are slightly cheaper as well. It's ok. I used to like it more until I started eating at other buffets. Prime rib is too dry and therefore too hard to eat. The fish is also overcooked and dry. Yes this buffet is cheaper of all the ones on LV, but if you can't enjoy the items you normally eat at a buffet, no matter how inexpensive it is, it isn't worth the money. read more
