My wife and I had an 8:00 AM tee time at Boulder City Municipal Golf Course and our experience was extremely disappointing. When we checked in, no one informed us that the morning was set up as a shotgun start. We were unexpectedly told to begin in the middle of the course, which was confusing and poorly communicated from the start. We were paired with two other players who were dismissive and very cold to us. After it was disclosed that we are a gay couple, it became even more apparent that we were not welcome. The tone and treatment we experienced made the situation increasingly uncomfortable. When we tried to ask questions at the front desk, the staff member there was also dismissive and unhelpful. Between the lack of communication and the way we were treated by both staff and the players we were paired with, we decided to leave after just three holes. This was particularly disappointing on a personal level. I lived in Boulder City for 25 years and my parents still live right on this golf course, so this has always been part of our community. Unfortunately, this experience made it feel very unwelcoming. Better communication and more professional, respectful customer service would go a long way toward improving the experience for others. read more

Only 9 homes open. Paying 40 to play the same 9 holes is not worth it. Lots of trees. Just not a fan of this course at all.

At least let people know that 9 is closed when they call to book.. it took me 3 hours to play 9 holes on a friday at noon. Go fuck yourselves you greedy fucks. read more

Is the grass absolutely perfect all of the time like a pga course, no. Although, this is a very chill course to play with buddies and have a fun day on. It offers a moderate challenge for a decent price. Everyone is very kind and respectful especially the staff. This is my regular golf course! Feel free to try it out. read more

Do yourself a favor and don't play here. Don't even consider it. Course is in terrible condition, they have been messing with stuff and it isn't getting any better. They will tell you inside that they do not allow groups of 5, yet the starter sends them out like crazy! Counted at least (4) groups of 5 alone today. Starter could care less about how many you have or pace of play. 5+ hour rounds at a Muni is ridiculous. Well I guess not when you allow groups of 5 or to go out. read more

Such friendly staff, feels like you're at grandmas house at the clubhouse. Course grass is a little rough but a great time nonetheless it's priced accordingly I'm not tiger woods so it don't matter. Recommend for newer golfers or if you just wanna get some practice in. read more

Well... shame on me for picking up 18range balls from the chipping green and taking them over to the driving range to hit them. The Marshall drove up to me and interrogated me on where I got the balls from, so I told him. He then said we'll the range is closed now and you didn't purchase those range balls from me. Your not allowed to do that because someone else bought them, and the cart barn guys pick them up at the end of the day. Hmmm.... ok.... so your gonna resell those same balls that you believe someone purchased ? He also said this is straight from the boss. Whatever, it was still daylight out, and I knew the clubhouse was closed so I wouldnt have been able to purchase anything anyway. This guy has also approached my group before and said we were playing too slow. 2 of us were walking, and 2 were in 1 cart. The next group back was 2 holes away from us, there was nobody in front of us. I firmly believe he is the Karen of the golf course now... or should I say the Roger of the golf course. Congrats dude, you just saved them$2.00 in golf balls. You would have thought the world was coming to an end. read more

First time golfing here today, 04/01/23. We had a very bad experience as we were paired with two older guys. We could sense at the very start of hole one there was bad behavior brewing along with anger from one of the men. By the time we got to the greens at second hole he exploded while yelling using expletive language at us. He was totally out of line and rude. It was the worst experience we have ever encountered in our golfing career. We refused to play any further with these guys and told them to leave and go on. We want to give a huge shout out to the staff of the course who quickly handled the situation. Thank you all for make a bad situation into a pleasant one for us to enjoy our golf game. We appreciate the grounds staff and Director that handled the issue with professionalism, kindness and care. Thank you, we will be back. read more

I have lived in Las Vegas 30 plus years, and this was the first time I've ever played this course. It wasn't very expensive and the course was in great condition! Little challenging with the tree line fairways and houses tucked away and one particular hole makes you want to drive over a lake and onto the green! It is far away from Vegas though, but very well worth the drive for a little golf. read more

Total dog track. Fairways cut extremely short with no grass, just clumps of dirt and weeds which divert the path of a rolling ball. You can't get a decent lie anywhere. We decided to allow ourselves to place ball in fairway, but still couldn't find a good spot. Worst off all, a thief hiding on the grounds stole cash from at least 6 different foursomes at a hole where a screen blinds players from watching their golf cart. Police were called, arrived and police report filed, but nothing will come of it. Course is in low income residential area. I will never play here again. Avoid this course, leave it to the retired locals who hit it straight 120 yards at a time and roll it down the fairway like a bowling alley. read more

Out of town visitors before are big day figured to try a place out to warm up Would give it 3 1/2 stars, place was nice, staff was friendly greens and fairways where clean. Only down side was most of the tee boxes need a little more work to them, other wise wasn't a bad course for a last minute tee time, price was good w cart. Would golf here again. read more

This review is for the Golf Course Club House, and not the course itself. I was spending a weekend at Boulder City with my boyfriend's family. They have been coming to the club for 12 years. We arrived at about 2pm on a Sunday, and were given the option of Lunch or Breakfast. The food was very very good. Our coffee cups were never empty, and the customer service was impeccable. When I asked if they had soft boiled eggs as an option for their breakfast eggs, she happily gave me the option of poached eggs, which I accepted. Food was awesome, service was quick, and the ambiance? Full of golfers, amazing view, and the landscape of NV just outside your window. read more

We booked a round here and played today. Course is in good shape and it was a great time. The staff is fantastic! The minute we arrived and they set our clubs up to the greeting when we checked in, they were wonderful. One guy stood out to us all......Shadric! He was very nice, made us feel very welcome and even knew and talked about our course back home. The tempo was great---they don't over book and the track was fun. This is an older golf course, you get what you pay for. I dare anyone with a negative review to show their scorecard from home course and then from this course. A golf coach of mine told me when what tees I should play, he said "red", I laughed and which course should I play reds at he said it doesn't matter. Confused I asked him wtf he's talking about he reply's " until you can shoot par 3 times in a row on the same course no matter what course it is, you have no business at the white tees, and same for the whites and so on." Point is you suck everywhere, you do t know a good course from a bad course you judge, as an amateur, the course by its initial vibe, is it packed, are you hungover, is it to hot, are you playing slow, is the cart girl a guy. Things like that. It like taking mulligans guys! These companies only get 4 hours to prove how bad you are and you have 4 hours to prove them wrong! You could be at work! I've shot 76 here but I've also shot 77 at pebble beach. read more

If you like a 5+ hour round, the crappiest fairways in the area, lots of fivesomes, and nothing but aggravation, then this is the course for you! We used to come and play this course all the time, don't know what has happened to it. It is very sad. The good news is the greens are nice. But that is all. Will never come back. read more

I really enjoy this course. There is grass on both the fairways and in the rough, giving the novice golfer a little bit more room to make some mistakes. It is in an area of Boulder City that was built in the early 70's so there are plenty of full grown trees. The layout of the course is really nice. Plenty of long holes mixed with a couple of par 3's. There is a beautiful waterfall (small one) on the back nine along with some challenging creeks that keep you on your game. If you can make the 45 minute drive from Vegas, this is a great place with relatively cheap green fees. read more

Boulder City Golf Course is an excellent golf course with great people running the course and a great golf shop with very nice accommodating people. HOWEVER, beware of the OLD lady in the restaurant. She has an attitude from HELL. She is rude and crude and makes it known that she is working for a TIP. I would sack the woman if she worked for me but lucky for her that she is someone's thorn. I hope that GOD blesses this woman and finds a way to be more kind, humble and customer focused. read more

Had the eggs Benedict and it was gross! The English muffins were not toasted so they ended up so soggy I couldn't even cut through.

While waiting to hit our second shot on the first tee the group behind us hit into us. We were always waiting for the group in front of us who was waiting for the group in front of them and so on and the group behind us continued to hit into us. Not to mention the balls flying into our fairway from the adjacent holes. Finally we were teeing off on a par 3 and they picked up their putts so they could sprint to the woman's tee and cut us off. It seemed to be all BC locals and they didn't seem to welcome anyone not from there. I should have known there was no etiquette on this course with the noise they were making while we teed off on the first. Even though I live 10 miles away I won't be going back. Super easy course, poorly run, and outsiders need not apply. I always hesitate to write poor reviews so I waited two months to write this and the sour taste this facility left in my mouth is still there. With all of the courses in the area there is no reason to go back. read more

I really liked this course...with one exception, which I will get to later. It's got a very old school feel to it, and even though it's pretty flat, the layout is still interesting. I loved all the trees everywhere...you can tell they have been there for a long time. For a good golfer, I don't think it would be a real challenging course, but for a higher handicap player it will test you. The driving range has both mats and grass that you can hit from, and the range balls are very reasonably priced...I got a large bucket (maybe 80 balls or so) for $5. The carts are awesome and haul ass...but here's the odd thing. There aren't any coolers on the carts, and for some odd reason it seems like they completely discourage coolers at this course. I have no idea why, but there are even signs saying that coolers are prohibited. It's bizzare, especially considering it's 100+ every day during the summer. It's not a very long drive from Vegas, and the greens fees are usually a great price. They need to rethink the strange cooler prohibition they have going on, but other than that I would go back. read more
