Wow what a great course! Very well maintained, friendly staff and those fairways were epic. The views and how fun the course was to play made for a great round. I was a bit intimidated at first with this being my first time out here, but I can say this is a must golf destination. Can't wait to make it back! Also the pro shop has more hat varieties than I could count. Be sure to stop in after the round.

Been coming to this driving range for a few months now since I've picked up golf and overall very happy. A large bucket of balls is $15 which is pretty average. The staff is friendly and chatty. There's a putting section that's reasonable size. The golf course is always vibrant green and one of the more beautiful courses in the area in my opinion. I look forward to playing a 9 hole here soon.

Beautiful course, perfect greens attentive attendants upon arrival, great starter and marshals on course... Be friendly and they will do so in kind. Respect the space and pace of play. Only thing is the goose-poop... You cannot drive your cart to your car... The kids will carry your bag and load and unload sometimes they offer sometimes you need to ask. Only thing is bunkers are like concrete..so you choose ruin your beautiful wedge or pickup and chip from behind?

Been playing this course for many years now and it's always a great time. It's pretty deep on the east side, but it's worth checking out at least once for locals. From the time you get there to the time you pack your bags in the car, the staff is always very friendly and helpful. You're always set up with waters in your cooler, wished a good round, and get a good club cleaning. Unless you go super twilight, Cart girls are good to come around every 3-4 holes. Greens are really nice as of late, and the fairways have always been in good condition. GPS maps and Bluetooth in the carts is a huge plus. This course has nice elevation changes, and definitely makes you choose between irons woods and driver off par 4s and 5s with the hazards laid out. The club sandwich with fries at the turn is a must, but you gotta share it. It's massive but delicious.

Located in a small little shopping center, this place is definitely tucked away but super easy to find. Parking can be scarce so I would either recommend in getting there very early or a little bit later in the morning. When you open the door, the first thing you are greeted with is the pastry rack in front of you. I swear, I gained 10 lb. Just looking at it. So many amazing things to look at and see absolutely wonderful. Another thing I have to brag about is how friendly everyone is there. You walk in the door and you are greeted literally by everyone. Really makes you feel at home and invited in to experience everything that they have. I opted for the tiramisu latte, and it was fantastic! Definitely had a perfect coffee flavor, and the terramisu flavoring was not overly sweet but actually was perfect. I had the bacon breakfast croissant with egg and it was wonderful. Perfectly balanced, the flavors were there, and the bacon was excellent! This is definitely one we are going to add for our go-to breakfast places when in Vegas. Super excited to try everything on the menu! Bottom line? If you have not gone to horizon shine, you are missing out. Top of your must-go places and I swear you will not be disappointed! You will probably see me there again! If so, feel free to buy me a pastry.

We learned they also have a sister restaurant - Le Cafe du Sud in Southern Highlands. This is a counter service establishment - you get in line to order and pay and get our number and find a seat. There is a lot of menu items and ready made pastries so your eyes will have to move quickly to decide on your final order. There are plenty of seats indoors and out, so that shouldn't be too much of an issue. And water is self service as well. * Raclette Galette $15.99 - This gluten-free buckwheat crepe is served with raclette cheese, sunny side up egg, potatoes, bacon and ham. I love a buckwheat crepe and there's actually a place in town that I just love their version. At Le Cafe Du Val, they do prefer to cook theirs a little more on the softer side which I didn't realize. After a bite or two, I went and asked if this was typically how their galette is cooked. It was confirmed that yes, they do prefer it softer. They offered to remake mine which I initially declined but they insisted as they wanted me to be happy with it. So I agreed. I still found their version decent, but not exceptional. * Short Ribs Shakshouka $17.99 - This was on their Specials menu and was served with 7 pieces of baguette slices. It was good. * Melba Crepe $13.99 - It's a sweet crepe that's topped with poached peach, wild berry sauce, and whipped cream. It's simple and exactly as described. * Mini Lobster Rolls $18.99 - The lobster meat is mixed with celery, chives, and mayo and served on a butter toasted brioche buns. These are indeed mini rolls, so you may be hungry after eating them. Service - there really isn't too much to talk about as you order at the register and have minimal contact with the staff beyond them bringing the order to your table. I had to bring my plate to the staff member when I had the issue. I do appreciate their desire to fix my order though. Overall, Le Cafe du Val was just an okay experience for us. The food didn't stand out for us in the way that we hoped.

We stopped in for breakfast and I was pleasantly surprised on the cute Farm style decor that was all over the place. The chef and the owner greeted us very friendly and we were seated right away. The potatoes were homestyle and with tons of flavor! The berry French toast was incredible! The flavors were amazing and you could tell that it had a hint of vanilla and the mascarpone whipped cream was nothing I had ever tasted! The coffee is freshly ground on site and the coffee cup was a generous size. The only thing is that they do not carry decaf coffee so my husband had to settle for an espresso which was a little overpriced. It was explained to us that there is not enough traffic to brew a whole pot of decaf coffee as it's not very popular which is completely understandable. Another nice touch was that the chef came over to our table, checked on us and thanked us for coming in. I can't wait to go back and try everything on the menu!

I found a space and only had about a two-minute walk to Public Works. The space is industrial but cozy, and I love the little community library in the red phone booth. That's such a cute touch and very on-brand for a neighborhood spot. It also turns into a wine bar at night. I ordered the iced matcha honey latte with almond milk. It was good, but definitely on the sweeter side. Almost milkshake-like. (Not frozen, just thicker and sweeter than a traditional matcha). I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for an earthy or classic matcha. The texture was a bit grainy with some settling at the bottom, and I did get a small clump in one sip. Not a big deal, just noticeable. If I had to guess, they use a pre-sweetened matcha powder. They don't advertise having pure or ceremonial matcha, so I'm not too pressed. Just sharing my experience. Service was quick and I got my drink within just a few minutes. There's plenty of indoor seating plus a spacious, dog-friendly patio. The vibe is very social and family-friendly, with lots of conversation, families, and groups. I personally wouldn't come here to study or work, but it seems like a great spot to meet with friends or family, or just a casual coffee run. I'd come back when I'm in the mood for something sweet. I'm curious to try the Cuban latte next time since it gets so much love. I'm glad I checked this place out.

I remember visiting once but maybe or maybe not buying a drink, then just never returning since it was a bit out of the water. But I relocated to a closer Henderson neighborhood and started checking out some of the nearby casinos, and it just seemed like a good idea to stop by today... and take advantage of a casino partnership as well. I tried two drinks. The Cold Brew ($7.00, 24 oz) felt like a dark roast at first but expressed mostly fruity notes later on. It was certainly smooth and low in bitterness and acidity. I also wanted to try a latte since that tends to be where these cafes get the most creative. The Cuban Honey ($7.00, 16 oz) was the recommendation of the employee at the register, and it was simple and tasty enough. Milk, honey, and cinnamon are some very classic and comforting flavors, and they're beautifully balanced in this latte. I was also interested in trying a quiche ($5.95), so I did. They come as a compact "personal" size and apparently just get heated warm for you even if you're taking them to-go. The Florentine is definitely spinach-forward but also seems to have mushrooms and caramelized onions. The crust is suitable, the egg custard isn't the most amazing, and it leans a bit salty overall, but it's an enjoyable food option. I probably blew past the parking lot which I'm vaguely aware of, but that's because parking was actually available on the street. Some spots were marked for 12 min only, but there were plenty of open unmarked spots a few yards up. The place was almost empty around Saturday lunch too. I have no idea why since it seemed quiet enough for a study or work spot. Public Works has filled a coffee-seeking niche in this area of Henderson for a long time, and hopefully they'll do so for years to come. If you play at Emerald Island or Rainbow Club, ask the casino about using points here since it's as good as money.
