We returned to play here this past Tuesday. We were a group of 16 players from the Bay Area on a golf getaway. The first tee time was 8:25am. The staff was the best. Our golf carts had our start times and group name. Tell them what what's your tee off order is and they'll make sure you're in the right order. And if you're driving or not. GPS cart and bottled water in the ice cooler. It being Tuesday the first tee off was Hole 10. There was a tournament ahead of us. The last foursome in the group was late to tee off. Then they were slow. The starter had our first group go out like 8:35am. Our first group had to wait at each hole until the slow foursome finally finished and drove off at Hole 2 which was part of the back 9 for us since we began at Hole 10. The wind picked up at Hole 5 around 1:15pm. We were happy to finish as we don't like heat or wind. Holes 1-9 were more challenging than Holes 10-18. Too bad we didn't start with Hole 1. My foursome finished in under 4 1/2 hours. However group 3 got a talking to by the marshal. Said they were two holes behind. Because it was so windy we didn't see everyone finish. We met up at dinner time to rehash our golf games. No golf carts allowed in the parking lot. read more

The price is great compared to other courses in town and course in pretty good condition. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the fairway is pretty run down in certain spots. Wow what a great course! Very well maintained, friendly staff and those fairways were epic. The views and how fun the course was to play made for a great round. I was a bit intimidated at first with this being my first time out here, but I can say this is a must golf destination. Can't wait to make it back! Been coming to this driving range for a few months now since I've picked up golf and overall very happy. A large bucket of balls is $15 which is pretty average. The staff is friendly and chatty. There's a putting section that's reasonable size. The golf course is always vibrant green and one of the more beautiful courses in the area in my opinion. Now for the bad part: Then about halfway through, we got a warning on the cart monitor that we must keep up! Then, about a hole later it said this is your final warning! 'We were not behind as could always view the group ahead and no one waiting on us'. Then, out of the blue, the marshal appeared and said we 'must keep up'! Why would anyone 'pay your good money to a course that that treats its customers like '2nd class citizens'? Seems they only want "Professional' golfers that can play ahead of the allowed times, and if you're 'black man' and married to a "white woman', I'd definitely 'not recommend' this course. read more

The course was great, challenging and well kept. The people there just didn't seem friendly just tending to you and moving on no welcoming interactions. Beautiful course, perfect greens attentive attendants upon arrival, great starter and marshals on course... Be friendly and they will do so in kind. Respect the space and pace of play. Only thing is the goose-poop... You cannot drive your cart to your car... The kids will carry your bag and load and unload sometimes they offer sometimes you need to ask. Beautiful course in a gorgeous gated community. Greens were nicely manicured and staff were all very friendly. Cart girls were very accommodating and popped up very frequently. Pace of play was great - we may have been the slower ones, as the group behind us kept us on our toes - especially the later half of the back nine. Wish we could have drove the carts to our cars, but luckily staging isn't too far from the parking lot. Not too too far from the LV strip or the west side of the LV Valley. Nicest course I've played in Henderson by far. Definitely will be back! Even considering moving into their gated community!!! read more

The reason for 4 stars is due to the practice putting area. There are 5 holes with 10-20 people hitting at once. Absolutely horrible experience back to back. Last time I came here they made me skip a hole. This time I had a dead golf cart that they trade me out and they transfer all of my personal items and then lose my keys!!! It took a full hour before they finally found my keys that the cart girl lost in transfer. Been playing this course for many years now and it's always a great time. It's pretty deep on the east side, but it's worth checking out at least once for locals. From the time you get there to the time you pack your bags in the car, the staff is always very friendly and helpful. You're always set up with waters in your cooler, wished a good round, and get a good club cleaning. Unless you go super twilight, Cart girls are good to come around every 3-4 holes. Greens are really nice as of late, and the fairways have always been in good condition. GPS maps and Bluetooth in the carts is a huge plus. This course has nice elevation changes, and definitely makes you choose between irons woods and driver off par 4s and 5s with the hazards laid out. The club sandwich with fries at the turn is a must, but you gotta share it. It's massive but delicious. read more

But when you're telling my group to move quicker and I'm in the tee box and the group in front of me is in the middle of the fairway I can't go! If Chris the manager doesn't want me to play here anymore lmk , I'm a local and have plenty of options, if your from out of town I recommend Revere , Rhodes Ranch , Reflection Bay , bears best , red rock .... I can go on and on but I'll never play this course again. They don't compensate you when the greens are punched and the course sucks , good job Chris manager , I bet the owners are proud ! read more

Played the course Sept 5 before the reseed on Monday. Played with my regular Paiute group. Everyone was very disappointed. The fairways were all pretty cooked. The sand traps were visually unplayable , small rocks and no sand in any of them to be found. Greens okay. On the back had a par 5 questionable why it was cart path only that was no better or worse than any other hole before reseed. The rate was $96.00 for residents which was way over priced for the condition of the course. Kudos to the rangers who were great keeping a slower group in front moving. First time playing here and would not return . Number of courses that are a lot better value and condition. Would not recommend to anyone looking to play here. read more

Wasn't sure what to expect when I played here for the first time, but I lived the course and staff was very nice.

Went for a later tee time (1pm) and was told there were footgolfers at the same time as us but would not effect our play. On hole 3, it was so backed up that 5 groups of golfers were waiting to tee off behind us. Finally after waiting for the footgolfers around 20 minutes to hit our second shots on a par 4, we decided to turn around and ask for a refund. We couldn't even pass them because there were footgolfers on every single hole! The manager at the pro shop was unable to accept any responsibility. He said "my GPS shows that they are playing on pace." If they simply sent out a Marshall to that hole they would see that was VERY far from the truth. I received a refund but won't be going back. This is an extremely disorganized management team that is incompetent to say it nicely. Don't have your weekend golf plans ruined by this course. read more

Be careful right now booking a tee time here. They must be getting close to seeding. The fairways are terrible, greens are very slow and not mowed down. Range balls are dead and there is hardly any grass to hit off of. Carts are in terrible shape. Cost was $90 and not sure I would even pay that for here on a great day let alone how terrible the conditions are right now!! Staff was ok, but nothing above and beyond. Located on the edge of Henderson, NV not far from Lake Las Vegas - Chimera Golf course is always well maintained and a fun course to play. Great for both golf outings or just playing 18. The clubhouse is separate from the banquet facility. The staff is friendly. The parking is somewhat limited, when there are tournaments but is otherwise not bad. Worst golf course in Las Vegas I have ever played! First time I played the course had a mold problem and greens weren't even playable. (Should have closed it down) (Keep in mind I'm writing this review on the tee box I'm so upset I came here) Next time I come out, of course get it on golf now app and it's cart path only. Not something I thought to check. But I bring my girlfriend along luckily to move the cart around and it's $25 per ride. What a joke! If your gonna charge that much for a rider maybe upgrade yourself out if a double wide trailer clubhouse. Luckily I'll never play here again! This course isn't as nice as they price it out to be. Golf balls included- meaning imagine the smallest bucket of balls you can find and that's what your getting. No putting green to practice on before your round. Chipping area is long grass only and not even maintained. Like I said I got it on a deal and I'm mad they charge this premium price with such a poor product. read more

Chimera is a great course offering a well designed challenge and I would certainly play there again, but there are some aspects to consider before making your tee time. We played in August, and Vegas in summer is hot. Freaking hot. Hydrate before you arrive and continue to drink throughout the day because the heat will kill your concentration. There's not a lot of trees to park under, maybe your rain umbrella should see the light of day. The clubhouse staff did their job well, there are cart attendants to get you going and they cleaned our clubs when we finished. The range was elevated which I really like but the practice balls left a lot to be desired, as in beat up. Course condition was very good considering the end of season, and the greens were very good, rolling true. Wide fairways, but stay in them as the rough is punishing. read more

I agree the greens have a fungus, but I can tell from the way they take care of the course they are working hard to get them back in shape. Fairways and tee boxes are in excellent shape. me and a couple buddies came to have some fun on the golf course but instead were discriminated not only by the guy in the clubhouse but by the guy at the first tee aswell. we couldnt even get started before they kicked us out, simply just didnt understand that we had to pay $65 per person and the guy at the first tee started cussing at us and saying "you people havent played golf in your life havent you" why does that matter, im here to simply have a good time and comply with whatever you guys say, he ended up cussing at us and telling us to leave. we tried to go back and pay for the rest of us and the guy at the clubhouse didnt let us pay because we tried to "sneak people on" we completly misunderstood, there is no reason why these people should be treating us like that. it was my first time being ag the course i really wanted to try it out, instead got treated horrible. read more

Do you want to golf on the moon? If so, I have the course for you! Okay hear me out. The positives: Friendly staff. Service was great. Cart girls caught us 5 times during the round. The tee boxes and fairways were good to great every hole. The negatives...every green except for the 10th hole green were absolutely terrible. I've played on freshly punched greens that were better than this. One of my buddies actually slipped and skidded out like he was in Tokyo drift. Ball just rolling around the green like a ping pong ball. Almost as if the greens were devoid of gravity. Most of the greens were actually blue because there wasn't any grass. Bunkers were mediocre, which I could care less about if the greens were fine. The real issue with all of this is we paid $160 a person to play here. Now if this place was $50 it would be great because I'd expect something to be terrible. But when I pay that kind of green fee I expect the green to reflect it. read more

It really breaks my heart to write this review, as this was my favorite course for years. I wanna preface this by saying the staff here are lovely and we had a wonderful experience in terms of customer service and staff friendliness. That being said, the quality of the course was awful. It seems like all pride taken in this course has been lost to the wind. Caved in cups, broken plastic and trash everywhere, tire tracks across greens, fried yellow fairways, sand traps with barely any sand washed our from the rain and with overgrown grass, etc. There's plenty more I could say but I'm sure you get the point. I understand the city is placing major water restrictions and I'm very sympathetic to that. But even if you can't water greens and the course up to old standards, there's so much care that could be taken to make up for it. If you can't water adequately, then clean and trim what you can. I really hope that this course is able to make a big turn around, it seems to desperately need it. read more

Best triple-wide golf clubhouse in the business...if your kid has hops they can easily touch the ceiling

This place has seen better days and better staff. I have been coming here on and off for years now and have seen the highs and (what I thought were) the lows. I recently switched to primarily playing Angel Park, due to the distance from my new house. However, seeing a $45 tee time at 11 on a Saturday was enticing, to say the least. I was happy to see that they have replaced the crotchety starter that they usually have. However, the marshalls are ridiculous. We were told to pick up the pace as we stared at the group in front of us, still on the green. Also, a minor detail, but we had to ask for ice to be put in our coolers. Worse yet are the conditions of the course. For the first time ever, they painted parts of the grass on this course. The bunkers are glorified piles of dirt, "sand" is no longer the appropriate term. The greens are still in bad shape from previous damage, with putts visibly jumping as they roll. Overall, it isn't a bad course, given that the options in Henderson/East Las Vegas aren't the best. It is just hard to see it fall from the highs that it once was. read more

Took my son & his friend here today to play Foot Golf. Who ever came up with this idea is brilliant. The kids loved it. We all enjoyed the golf cart ride. The course itself is nice but, I'm not sure how an avid golfer would rate it. The lady at the front desk & the golf cart attendant was helpful & kind. The only con for me was I was verbally attacked by a golfer. Not even 5 minutes at the course & I had this man yelling at me from behind as we pulled up to the 2nd hole. I turn around I see him waving his hands around & then hit his ball, jump in his cart & start barelling down the course toward me. He tells me "What the hell is wrong with you woman? You don't have any f'ing common sense. You should tell those stupid boys to get off the course so I can play." I was so taken back & I'm not use to confrontation so I just said "There's a nicer way to ask" and he tells me "It ain't getting any nicer from me you dumb ass". We all felt very uncomfortable after that so we skipped 5 holes to make sure we were far enough away from him because we were all scared of another encounter with him. Stinks we didn't get to play all holes but, we didn't feel comfortable otherwise. Also, I haven't been on a golf course much but, I do know the players behind you need to wait till we are in the clear and or finished with that hole before they proceed to start blasting balls. I did take away one star and not positive it's fair to do that based on an experience with another patron but, maybe the golf course could better this experience by making it crystal clear to the golfers that they may encounter Foot Golfers after 3:00 if they aren't doing this already. Funny, This is the same man we saw when we were getting our golf carts & I heard him being rude to the golf cart attendant & it seemed like he was in a rush. Really sad to see how downhill this course has become I've lived in Tuscanny for years and have golfed here a lot was always an awesome course until recently. Went to golf with my wife, she doesn't golf and they charged me the same price for her to ride along in the cart as they did for my round of golf. We decided it wasn't worth the extra money for her to just sit in the cart so we decided to get a refund, however they didn't have anyone that is authorized to give refunds so instead of it just being easy now I'm having to email the manager just to get refunded. Definitely don't recommend coming here. Plus their driving range has been out of service for a long time now they will only let you hit off of turf mats rather than the grass so you can't even use your drivers to warm up. Also the last few times I have golfed the pro at the first hole has always been very rude everytime. Overall just not a very great experience will definitely be going to any other course than this one from now on. read more

Beautiful course, wonderful staff and ver accommodating. My friends and I played FootGolf here the other day and it was one of our favorite boys days out. The staff offered us a couple complementary carts as they forgot to mention that they're normally paid for individually. They gave us coolers with ice, complementary water and off we went. The grass was wonderful, the course was peaceful with bunnies and geese near by. Idk what these old farts are complaining about on here, I guess when you become senile you don't even know what you want from life anymore. My only complaint would be how rude some of the players are but that's not up to the staff. Some of the guys were jackasses. Also, the golfers playing out here suck. Most were slicing it like a loaf of bread. I'm no Spieth myself but man, these guys were sucking so bad, kept redoing their drive. We didnt mind as we had snacks and hung out in our carts waiting for our turn. Maybe that's why they gave bad reviews. Hit the range you old geezers! Learn to play before you kill a bunny on accident. Anyways, fantastic property. I love you Chimera. Thank you for the wonderful service. I will 100% be back again within the coming weeks. read more
