this place is beautiful and great but today i tried to call to move my reservation and or cancel and get a refund and i sat on the phone for more than an hour waiting for someone to pick up the phone. i dont know whos manning the desk but this is unacceptable. i am currently STILL on the phone waiting for what im assuming will be another hour which will surpass my reservation that i am trying to move/ cancel upon arrival the receptionist was very rude as well. read more

We golfed on 9/29/25 and apparently the course is reseeding the tee off boxes and they shortened the par 4's to a par 3 and the par 3's to a ridiculous 60 yards! I putted to the green on a couple of the holes. The improvised tee's where just plopped in the fairway. I get it that the courses need to do reseeding, but work with the golfers. What's upsetting is that we still had to pay $49 for golfing half of the course. So why not charge half the price to golf?? The greens where recently aerated and that didn't help the putting. The bunkers where like hitting off of concrete. They don't provide towels for golfers, just water. They don't seem to compensate the golfers in lowering the fees to golf. I paid less to golf at a course a mile from there. A full par 72. Bottom line, we weren't happy having to pay full price for a round. read more

Very nice golf course in Henderson NV. This is an executive course, so there are no par 5's. I came here to hit the driving range and was able easily have a space without too many people around. I pitched the bucket of balls for the range in the pro shop. There were 2 very nice guys in there to help me out. The large bucket of balls is $12 for 100 balls. Great prices! The driving range does have you hit off of mats instead of the grass, but the mats are nice and aren't ripped up. They also have a nice chipping practice area, and a beautiful putting practice area as well. I will be back to play the course! read more

If you're looking for a shorter, executive course, this is the spot. It's a par 60 (6 par 4s, 12 par 3s) with a handful of challenging holes, be it water or bunkers. I prefer this one over the couple in Summerlin, and there are a couple holes on the back with strip views. The greens are always in great condition and super quick but a lot of the tee boxes are a little lopsided so make for an imbalanced tee shot. It's reasonably priced. No GPS in the carts though, so bring your range finder. They usually request carts are in a bit before sunset, so make sure you book a tee time at least 4 hours before the sun goes down. A lot of first timers play here, so be patient. Restaurant isn't bad either for a beer and a bite after the round. read more

My group had a disappointing experience today that had nothing to do with the course itself--which is actually in great shape. The greens are fun, challenging, and well-maintained. Unfortunately, the issue was with the treatment we received on the front nine. We were approached by the marshal on Hole 9 after the group behind us called to complain about our pace of play. The marshal told us we either needed to speed up or let them play through. The problem is: our pace wasn't slow at all. The posted pace for the course is three hours, and we played our front nine in 1 hour and 20 minutes, even after stopping twice for drinks and a bathroom break. When we made the turn, we actually waited 15 minutes on Hole 10 for the group behind us to come through--just to accommodate their request--despite the fact that we were already on track to finish 20 minutes under pace. Made no sense since we would have been wrapping up 10 when they arrived. Which was the case all day, us exiting the green as they approached the tee box. Also, if your so good and fast maybe slide back a tee box or two and play the course rather than expecting other to make way for you. What made it more frustrating was that the group behind us wasn't exactly following course etiquette themselves. They had individual personal carts, were driving up near the greens past the cart-path signs, and were rushing around even though there was no group in front of us and nobody behind them. Being regulars doesn't mean the rules only apply to everyone else. I don't mind sharing the course with faster groups, slower groups, beginners, or regulars--it's a public course and we all pay the same fees. But being confronted by the marshal when we were clearly well under the posted pace felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. The course itself is enjoyable (aside from a few noticeably uneven tee boxes), but the attitude from certain regulars and the staff interaction today made the experience far less friendly than it should've been. Which is disappointing, because it's otherwise a great little executive track. read more

Server was very nice but wrote down hot open faced beef sandwich when I actually ordered open face turkey but it was speedily replaced with the turkey. Not the best I've ever had but not the worse either. We will try again tomorrow night with a different choice of entree and I will write another review. read more

I've finally came here since awhile and the course is nice and it's good. But I just didn't like the service the old lady at the recession was rude. And the lady at the golf shop was even worse. The High reviews are justified, just as the low ones, but personally I didn't enjoy it. I'll review in more detail after a few more visits. I cannot express how disappointed I am with Desert Willow staff. I don't know if you had a recent change in management or the Home Owners Association held a new election and put new people in charge or what, but I can tell you that there has been a noticeable decline in the experience over the past few months. I have been a LONGTIME patron of this course but will not play there again. The past THREE visits her have been an absolute abysmal experience. Today was the final straw for me. On a VERY slow afternoon, I was able to walk on and play as a single. It took me 40 minutes to play 7 holes, then 35 minutes to play the last two on the front 9 due to a back-up ahead of me. When I did make the turn, there were 3 groups still waiting to tee off. The ranger who came out after noticing the delay 15 minutes into the wait did nothing to speed people up, move people along, or correct the issues. After waiting for 34 minutes and adding an additional 2 groups behind me in que for the par 4 10th hole, I had had enough and called it a day. When I explained to the guy in the pop-up tent that I played 9 and why, he just said "yeah, I heard". I asked if he would refund me the difference from 18 to 9 and he laughed. Literally, laughed, saying that was against policy. I retorted that according to their policies posted on their website, players are to maintain a pace of 10 minutes per hole, and if they exceed that, players will be asked to skip holes to regain their position on the course. He said he had no control over that. At a time when your pro shop is closed and operating from a pop-up tent, your restaurant/bar remains closed since JUNE, and the BEST THING about the course is the cart girl, you do not deserve to have my money. If players are looking for a similar cost and skill level courses, I recommend Eagle Crest or Durango Hills Golf Clubs, in Summerlin, or Chimera Golf Club, in Henderson. read more

A Henderson gem. Desert Willow is a course you can't beat for the price. Is it perfect? No. I play here quite often and feel that I've gotten a good feel for the place to offer a fair review. I'll offer my criticism first. There are times when the pace of play is slow and some disorganization at the start. I spoke to the director and he acknowledges there is some tightening up to do. Driving range is fine, personal preference would be to hit off the grass. Mats just don't do it for me and I find the tees to be too short to practice with my driver. I always have to roll up some paper to squeeze a tee into the rubber one. Outside of that, let's talk about why this place is great. First and FOREmost, the greens here are always in great shape. Seriously I have to tip my hat to the team here. I've played plenty of other more expensive courses that honestly probably have more craters in the greens than the moon does on it's surface. Greens here can be super quick at times - watch out! Second, the fairways are also in great shape. I've seen this course in many states over the years and whatever the recipe is these days, it's working. There are some great elevation differences and rolling hills to really test your iron work. Just enough tree cover to offer the occasional reprieve from the sun without getting in the way (whoever said trees are 90% air is a liar). Don't let the fact that this is a par 3 course deter you. It is plenty of fun, 6 par 4s to dust the driver off a little...and if the pace is right you can easily finish in under 3.5 hours. read more

Well maintained, great for short game and rates good for me for this category. Ora was the starter lady when I played there. She is sweet, a professional and a great representative of the club. Played January, Friday 13, 2023: got out of work early and was looking forward to playing. DW did not disappoint, visually u could see the front 9 with a full 360 turn from the first hole and the back 9 was visually pretty too. The golf course is in great shape. Just play and have fun. You could use driver and hit some longer holes in one, but why? Lol. Short game and putts is what u need to concentrate on when playing this course. Clean fairways, groomed and greens are fun too. Great location. Beautiful room. Excellent restaurant with great menu and service. Food was incredible.

The restaurant used to be great. But food is awful, and the waitress is rude. First the food tasted like it was cooked on a dirty griddle. Cheese omelet, this is how it came out, basically scrambled eggs folded over with a slice of American cheese on top! We're done and she comes over to get our card to pay....with no printed bill provided! I ask for the bill, and she gets pissed! NEVER again. EVER. I have lived in Henderson for over 25 years and played here many, many, many times. Until recently, Desert Willow was a LONG time favorite of mine. Let me preface this by telling you about our group. We are all in our 50's and one is in his early 60's. We were not a bachelor party, nor are we new players. All four of us are affluent and respectful. Our tee time was 9am - and we were ready. Recognizing a single player behind us we let him play thru. After he teed off, he said that he would wait and then join us on the first green. When we got to the first green he asked, and we allowed, another single to tee off (on the first tee) to join him. (We proceeded to let the two of them play thru starting on the second hole. We certainly did not mind, but technically it was putting us behind pace. (In hindsight - the Starter should have recognized, and noted, this). NO problem, because there was nobody behind us the entire round and life was good. Then, on the 7th hole a guy came out of nowhere and told us to "speed it up, you guys are behind pace, etc." He was not driving a cart that said "RANGER" or "COURSE HOST". We politely replied - then he proceeded to go to the 8th tee to watch us play the 7th hole! None of us were pleased that he was watching, and when we got to the 8th tee we asked why he was doing what he was doing. What he said FLOORED us, and his chest puffing and lack of basic guest service was astonishing. He proceeded to tell us that "by pace of play were behind", despite the fact that we were only six minutes off pace (by his math), while allowing two individuals to play through separately. He proceeded to push back aggressively, and when I continued to apologize and mention that two of us (quickly) used the toilet between five and six he didn't care. (IMPORTANT NOTE - the two that used the toilet are a stroke survivor (ME) and a cancer survivor). Here is the greatest part, one of the men in my group decided to talk to the pro shop about this after 18, since it ruined our round. The absolutely amazing part is that this guy wasn't a volunteer or an hourly employee, he is the Director of Golf Operations! Mark my words, there are a LOT of negative reviews about Desert Willow out there. The reviews are fair, and the fact of the matter is that with this continued leadership this place will find itself like Black Mountain golf course - closed and under development. read more

Been here 3x. Every time we are here, the senior/elderly rush you - drive up to you and complaining to that we are slow and need to keep it going. Mind you, we are trying our best. Can't enjoy without being bothered by elderly. Never coming back here again. Better executive courses out there. I wish this app had a negative stars- I would give it the max. This is a great little executive course! The staff are very helpful and kind. There are no par 5 holes. There are mostly par 3 and a few par 4 holes. The course is in good shape. It's a little narrow in places, so you have to hit them straight. Try not to hit any houses like I did. Green fees are affordable and the pro shop is nice. It wasn't too bad. It was my first time golfing. When I went, it was car path only. So there was quite a bit of walking and running around while trying to keep pace ahead of those behind us. The entire course is actually decent and I think it's a great first course for beginners. Parking is simple and finding the pro shop was easy. It was easy to get started. The restaurant was okay as well. Came across many nice individuals and couples. The beverage cart girl Kiersey(I think that's how you spell it) she was great as well. I am sitting in my car very upset about how I was treated in the pro shop. I just moved here and was very excited about checking out this Golf Course that is right down the street from me. I walked in and asked if I could get some information, the man asked if I lived in the nearby community, I said I live in the apts down the street. He handed me a paper with prices and that was it. I felt I was treated very poorly and I don't know why?? I walked back in and now there are two men behind the desk. I said, I came here to find out about the course and all I was given was a piece of paper. They literally asked, what else would you like to know. Really??? Maybe smile and welcome someone, tell me some good qualities about the course, do you offer any lessons, what are busy times, are there other events here etc?? Man, I would be appalled if these were my employees treating people like that. If you ever want to hire a happy friendly person to make a difference in your pro shop, let me know. Fun course to play. Just played in a tournament there. Golf staff is pretty good. Plan your shots and you'll be fine. Decent practice facility as well. I would come back to play, maybe not from the forward tees next time. The greens rolled nicely. Firecliff was a bit faster than their other course. Players really should fill their divots and repair their ball marks. I probably would have scored a little better if my ball didn't find the only half divot that wasn't filled. My ball sat down almost half way. I repaired multi ball marks between the three days I played. Love how they have ice/water dispensers around the course. Stay hydrated. read more

Everyone has that one golf course that always feels like home. That one golf course that you back to when you need to remember how to play golf well, or rather, less bad. Desert Willow is that golf course for me. Compared to your standard courses, DW is only a par 60. That means there is not one par 5 hole on the entire course. Instead, there are 12 par 3's and six par 4's. Overall, the course is not very difficult, which makes it the perfect place to work on iron play. The greens are always well-manicured and very in speed depending on when exactly you play. It contains just enough hazards such as water and sand traps that you feel like you are being tested, just not enough to crush your spirit entirely. It is very reasonably priced as well. Like most courses in Las Vegas, you can get some killer deals in the summer. You may sweat out all of your fluids, but at least you will be able to play without too much traffic. I have been able to finish a solo round in about 1.5 hours. So, if you are looking to get out of the house and away from the wife, I recommend coming with a foursome to extend your experience. Desert Willow is an awesome course that makes you feel hopeful that you can be good at golf, even if it's a fallacy. I highly recommend it to players of all skill levels. read more

Went for a round of golf at sunset, got on around 4:30 PM. By 6:45pm they were rushing us to get off the course and I left my speaker. Went back to go grab it and the attendant there wouldn't let us grab it and told us to come back in the morning. Went back to grab it and they said nothing about it and the cart we used was already on the course meaning they would've saw it on the cart before giving it out to someone or even after cleaning it out last night and charging the cart. They for sure stole the speaker and won't do anything about it. Will not be returning here. read more
