It helps that you now need to make an appointment online. When you enter the building you check into the kiosk and are given a number. The building has been newly renovated (since June) and has lots of comfortable chairs, several screens that show when it is your time to be helped. They even announce your number in case you are not facing the screens. There is a privacy glass now which helps with health and safety for the employees and customers. This partition did not take away from connecting with the employee. The employee that helped us (Jamila) was in training. She was personable, friendly and helpful. She made the transaction a very positive experience. There is free street parking and a free parking lot across the street. There was a time when it was hard to find a parking spot, but now with a parking garage with free parking it is easy to find parking.

There are P.O. boxes you can access around the clock, a great card selection, automated machine to purchase stamps or purchase package labels, lots of fancy and festive padded envelopes, a drop off for Santa's Letters and more! With it being the holiday season the line has been a little wild (yesterday it was literally out the door). I do not fault the fine folks of the USPS at all. They are patient, helpful, and so kind to those that walk up to their counter totally unprepared - which describes quite a few people yesterday. While it can be cumbersome to walk your packages in to this location (if you live near downtown) I often find it a much more enjoyable experience than visiting the sister location on Valmont (lots of grumpy patrons out that way - which can be amusing to witness if you are in the right mood). The Valmont USPS parking lot can often feel like a demolition derby - not to mention turning left onto Valmont when you leave can be near impossible at times. I'll gladly wait in line any day to peruse and purchase the latest coolest forever stamp book!

I moved to Colorado months ago, and despite reaching out multiple times and even going to this office in person. I received absolutely no help or clear guidance. They failed to update my information correctly and didn't even list that I am currently unemployed, even though I explained that I had worked in another state and have not been paid since. I only received a single one-time payment from them, and every attempt to get clarification or assistance has been ignored or brushed off. The guy said I had a mental impairment even though I have a disability that doesn't affect me mentally. It really made me mad. It's been a frustrating and stressful experience, especially when you rely on Social Security to provide accurate information and support during major life changes. I truly expected better communication and basic competence. At this point, I feel completely let down and unheard. I truly recommend not going to this office. Nobody seems to know how to do their job....
