I Was excited to come here after learning about the spicy avocado burger. After receiving my order, the presentation was lack-luster; if words need to be said, then it was ok. The 1/2 lb patty presented with a nice char and had me getting ahead of myself. The jalapeno aioli sauce was in abundance and topped with sliced avocado. It comes with hickory bacon, but said bacon was hiding better than Anne Frank. The bite. It's quite a large bite and creates the anticipation of a really good burger. The jalapeno aioli sauce presented first and was nice, the hickory bacon came next and settled my anticipation and I was happy. But by my third bite, the whole thing fell flat. The jalapeno aioli was no longer present and the bacon became non-existent. The patty itself... well I was extremely disappointed. It left me utterly sad. I'm hurt. The charred patty was a glorified hockey puck that gave me nothing, nada, zip zero. No sense of any flavor, absolutely nothing what so ever. It literally became a struggle to consume after the third bite, and I say that because I cut the burger in half before the first bite. My opinion: It fell flat. Straight downhill with the gas peddle pressed against the floor at full power screaming "witness me". The Jalapeno Aioli sauce needs more pop or spice throughout the whole eating event and the much anticipated bacon was only a single bite worth. More is required because the bacon was actually the only good part of the whole system. The patty needs help, it really needs does. In my opinion its on life support and it would be a kindness to pull the plug. It made the burger a big disappointment. I can not express it enough. It hurt me. Three stars although it should be two, as the first bite was good, but then went down in flames like a skydiver without a parachute. read more

We went on a busy night - the Wild were playing in the first series of the playoffs. TONS of TV's and a great bar and beer selection. My biggest complaint was that we were there for late night happy hour and my husband ordered 12 wings - 2 flavors. (Or, two orders of 6.) Their happy hour pricing was $2.99 (roughly) for 6 wings but we received the bill and were charged the non-happy hour price because we order 12 wings. I did ask for them to look into it and the manager came over and said that because my husband stated, "I'll do 12 wings with half x sauce and half y sauce...", we were charged for what he asked. Ridiculous. It's not that it's a ton of money but it was more so the principle of it... Great beer selection though! read more

Amazing service and amazing food for a reasonable price. First time here, and we were not disappointed! Two adults and 1 child in our party. Seated immediately and server was there within seconds to get our drink order. We ordered the cheese curds (they are the size of building blocks) half white cheddar, half pepper jack. They are very good, loved the breading and they were nice and gooey! I asked what the server would recommend and ordered the Spicy Avocado Burger (a 1/2 lb. burger stuffed with mozzarella cheese and hickory bacon, topped with jalapeño aioli and avocado). It was very good, perfect cook on burger, and the bun held up well. Our 6 year old had the Mac and cheese with fries (standard Kraft Mac & cheese). Service was outstanding and the food arrived quickly. Our 6 year old even asked to speak to the manager to tell her he was going to give them 5 stars. Stepped in last night after some overdue Christmas shopping! Very pleasantly surprised! Hailey was our server and she was friendly, informative, very polite - service oriented. I opted for a 6oz burger with pepper jack cheese and jalapeños cooked medium well. The burger was very tasty cooked perfectly served in a brioche bun. The buttery bun was a good compliment to the beat in my burger. I chose their homemade tater tots which are served with a wonderful season sauce (on the side). They were very tasty and I truly recommend those as a side. The only bummer is you only get 4 but they are fairly large so I guess the quantity it appropriate although I could have eaten a couple of extra! My husband chose the 1/2 pound California burger and it too was perfectly cooked to medium well and very tasty. He was hoping I would not eat all my tots - so he was a little disappointed as he too thought these were wonderful. We washed our meals down with a local Jack Pine Lone Wolf IPA. YUM TO ALL! I ordered the chicken wrap and my husband had a buffalo chicken sandwich. My wrap had a few (like less than 10) tiny pieces of popcorn chicken that was mostly coating. We ate dinner here on a Wednesday night in August and food was really good. We had avocado fries and they are awesome and beware the slight hot kick!! Then we had a flight of beers and they were not as hoppy as I like my IPAs but still ok. We are vegetarians but they do allow you to substitute a black bean burger for any beef one so kudos to Boulder Tap House!! I would say my experience was average. My husband and I ordered tacos. The carnitas tacos were very greasy. We are in town staying at one of the resorts and stopped here for dinner. They seemed to be a little short staffed but our waitress was amazing.
