I had signed up hoping to get a failed crown replaced. I left with a temporary crown and when the permanent crown is delivered , it will be installed, averting a potential dental disaster. I had to go to another Great Expressions office that saw me immediately the day I called and called the insurance company and got things taken care of and got me out of pain that day. The dentist who does extractions at this office (Bellair Bluffs) - Dr. Abied - did a terrible job. I have never had a bad experience with a dentist before. He was obviously in a hurry and gave me several injections to numb the area for extractions (4 teeth) in under a minute. I know from experience that when the dentist does each one slowly there is no pain other than the initial pinch. It was very painful and my entire body was shaking when he finished. That has never happened before. I have had extractions before and the dentist always leaves the room for 5-10 minutes to allow the numbing agent to take effect. He did not do this and immediately started working on the extractions when he finished the injections stating "it's already starting to get numb." He told me to raise my left hand if I felt any pain. Several times I raised my left hand and cried out in pain and he never slowed down or even paused. Instead he just said "breathe" and kept going. When he didn't stop I tried to close my mouth and he said "keep it open" and kept working. He had absolutely no regard for the pain I was in and refused to slow down, pause, or manage the pain in any way. I would warn anyone to not use him for any dental work as he obviously does not care about his patients' comfort. I have had a lot of dental work prior to this, including root canals and never experienced pain and disrespect like this. This is unacceptable and all of it was preventable and unnecessary.

Also, Dr told me I need to get rid of my two root canals. Of course, at first I took care of the Area behind the gums first. I started feeling a little better. However, a year or later I had another episode. That's when I decided to get rid of the root canals. I was super scared. The procedure went very well and smooth with no issues. My lung capacity increased right away. I was finally able to breathe with the full lungs. I told everyone about it. It happened within an hour after my root canals were taken out. Then I waited until everything is secure and safe in my mouth to place the implants. Customer service and their attention that I received in this office is above and beyond.

I was first introduced to Clearwater Family Dental when I brought my mother (75, living with dementia) and my 95-year-old stepfather. The entire team made them feel safe, respected, and comfortable, and both were extremely pleased with their extractions and updated dentures. That experience alone spoke volumes. After that, I decided to become a patient myself--and I'm so grateful I did. My experience here has been night and day compared to previous dental offices. The attention to detail, education, patience, and skill of Certified Registered Dental Hygienist Nicole Osika was exceptional. As a caregiver, I had admittedly neglected my own dental care, and she truly had her work cut out for her. Yes, dental work makes me uncomfortable and the bite into my wallet is never that great but with my insurance the cost was practically nothing and well worth it to have Dr. Szyszka and staff work on my teeth. They have been able to work with my work schedule and are honest about what my portion out of pocket will be. I have had a crown and several fillings, a deep teeth cleaning, planning and de-breavment all with a successful and painless outcome! :))) Oh, and one more important thing, the front office staff is super friendly as well. This is not the case with some medical offices. Everyone who works here is great!!

I call the number on the card they gave me and the orthodontics team told me they specialize in braces. They aren't the people that evaluate if you need wisdom teeth removed. That's what dentists are for. After leaving unhappy I call around to other dentists to see if they take my insurance. I had no luck but I talked to another lady from a different dentists office that was very helpful. She called Coast Dental and asked them to send me a copy of my X-Rays and a referral so that I can take them to another dentist. They never sent my X-Rays and never send a referral. Instead they sent a treatment plan from them. Very sneaky and scammy. There's something extra creepy and sick about this place. Think about it.. we go to a dentist because we're in pain sometimes to the point of being sick.. and instead of actually trying to help, this Dentist office straight up ignores your concerns, says forget about those!
