Jennifer agreed to accommodate me and even stayed after hours to work on me. She assessed my hair and decided what to do (we ended up removing 50% of the extensions -- the previous salon had added too much hair so she could charge me for more hair, which was one of the reasons I ended up looking like I was wearing a wig). I ended up booking for Wednesday afternoon, parked nearby the coffee shop. Wasn't a busy day. Arlene is such a hair expert! I told her I prefer short hair for the volume and she showed me some ideas. We decided that a short bob would be best to fix my mess! She did a fantastic job fixing up the uneven pieces, making sure to fix the bangs so it would grow out nicely. She also showed me how to style it at home, since short hair is high maintenance. I'm super happy with how it turned out, and I'll definitely be back when it's time to trim. Through the non-profit "Children with Hair Loss" Du Japon Hair Club was vetted for donations and is the only approved salon in the Los Angeles area. I met Yuki, who owns and operates this salon and also one of the best stylists I've had in my years of barbers. She is so nice and explained the process of the donation and also provided guidance on selecting the best hair cut for me. After looking at a few photos, I decided to go with a moderate cut to ease back into the general population. I was so happy with the results and would recommend Yuki to any of my friends. She will only take appointments and is the busiest during the weekend. I would recommend calling well in advance for your appointment, as she works generally towards the end of the week through the weekend.

This is my warning to others that are going here to have straightening done. Don't rely on her to tell you it's not right for your hair. To top it off when I called to tell her she did not apologize, she did not act as though she felt bad her response was not caring at all. Not to mention she didn't offer any advice or a refund. Now it will take me years to get my hair healthy and I'm so upset.

I said I had another appt after but that would be fine. I arrived and sat down and waited. They said I was checked in. I waited one hour before going to the front desk to say that now, I would not have time to do the appt because, as I told them, I would have to leave for another appt. I had allotted 2 hours and now there was only 1 hour left and I had not even been seen or sent for hair washing. All the while I waited, I could see Sal doing at least 2 other people's hair. When I asked the front desk if I could reschedule, they said they would talk to him. Several minutes passed. Sal was aware that I was there, but chose not to speak to me himself. He chose not to even take two minutes to face me and apologize. He was going to Mexico the next night, and could only offer the next day during hours I had to work. The salon manager apologized for Sal and offered another hair dresser. I have curly hair and want someone experienced in curly hair- especially when the haircut is right before my wedding and will cost hundreds of dollars. I think the worst part was that Sal was right there but simply didn't have the courtesy to apologize. I will never return to this salon. As for my wedding in two weeks, I have asked my makeup artist to help me find someone.

No product pushing. No service pushing. No agenda pushing. Full stop. 2) Skill I've always thought of Blonding as a language; I now believe Caitlin wrote that language. She is 100% the doctor and the surgeon. I got exactly what | asked for. Read that again: EXACTLY what I asked for. Having experienced the accuracy of an exclusively blonde colorist, I cannot overstate that value. 3) Communication It's possible your colorist may have to interpret what you're asking for. It's possible this takes time. Cait spent time with me. She encouraged me to say more and made me feel comfortable (read: not-stupid) as I probably talked out of both sides of my mouth and stumbled through my wants, needs, pictures, let-downs, etc. Look, I don't care who's hair you've colored, or "red carpet" this, "social media following" that blah blee blah. SO: I hesitate to comment on/share price and service-time because every blonde really is unique BUT since that's probably the info you're looking for, I'll say this: Re price: Not inexpensive ALTHOUGH more than fair (even before you consider comps at other salons) Re time: It takes as long as it takes. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. And thanks again for the massage therapist recommendation. Rest and recovery, here I come!

If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

Another time I went in and liked it, but when I caught my reflection a few blocks away I wished it was shorter and more dramatic, she let me come right back in so that I would be 100% happy and I left with exactly what I wanted. Last time I went I was wanting a big change (bangs and a mullet) but that's so easy to look so bad and I have such a round face I was nervous I would look like a giant baby or Joe Dirt. I asked if it could be done at all and trusted that she would tell me if I didn't have the face or texture for it. She got to work with that razor and turned it out. It looked so cool. I am extremely specific when it comes to things like style or choosing something I want. Alex made me feel so safe and really helped me feel calm. I could sense from how she worked that I was in sweet but entirely capable hands. She listened to everything so carefully and I could feel she really understands hair in her bones, and has such vision. Thank you so much Alex, it was such a pleasure to see you work and now I have this fabulous cut too ;) The Fever Few location is very cozy and cute. I was so relaxed and parking was easy. My schedule had been tough. I did not mind a wait but most places in gentrified Highland park are appointment only. I've had experiences where the hipster places had rude stylist, unwelcoming atmospheres (snobby) or high prices for sloppy work. Not here.
