Rooster's Cottage Consignment Gallery (RCCG), however, has no such identity crisis. It's a consignment store, both and name and what it provides: Modern Southwestern consignment. It seems about perfect for the landscape of Mesquite, Nevada. RCCG has a lot of furniture, with an emphasis on the Southwestern motif: deep browns, taupes, turquoises, a lot of wood and leather. They have several "showrooms," which is great for those who love that style but can't quite figure out how it should go together. You'll find plenty of couches, love seats, arm chairs, recliners, dressers, credenzas, coffee tables, bar stools, dining tables, accent tables, nesting tables, ottomans, dressers, throw pillows, clocks, area rugs, and the rest. They also have a lot I would consider to be female-friendly accessories you'd find at almost any Michaels, JoAnn Fabrics, or AtHome: Warm-and-fuzzy signs with phrases like "Bless this Mess" and "I Love You Like Biscuits and Gravy"; repro paintings; cutesy signs with cutesy animals on them, coffee mugs, scarves, candles, jewelry (much of it handmade); and several signs, magnets, and other accessories that would be perfect for those wanting to share their passion for wine. **April 2023: Weekday Afternoon Visit**…read more I had planned to visit the Goodwill next door and figured I'd check out Habitat for Humanity since I was in the area. It's a medium size space with a lot of random things. There's a quite of bit of knick knacks, a section of furniture, and things you'd use around the home like door knobs. From what I could tell it looked like they an overstock warehouse with items that probably didn't' sell from Home Depot, Lowes etc. My dad has a green thumb and found some gardening items such as Miracle Grow Shake N Feed and on our visit I believe items were around $13 and with the 30% it was about $9 when the retail was about $25 retail which was a steal! I think it's worth a visit if you're in the area and are in need of random things.

This is review to praise Sophia (our closet designer/salesperson) and Erik & Luke (the installation…read moreteam) who worked on our upgraded Preston closet. Sophia designed our DREAM CLOSET! Glass doors, shoe shrine, hanging spaces for long dresses, plenty of drawers, jewelry drawers, and tons of shelves. Our closets are 10 feet tall, and they are a whole room in themselves. The color we chose, with Sophia's help, was Fawn. It turned out perfectly, because it is a near match for our other cabinets in our home, including the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room cabinets. Gorgeous closet and absolutely a beauty to behold. Erik and Luke from Penmarc Inspired Spaces installed the Preston closet. They arrived early at our home, were very professional, and did an amazing job installing the Preston. They were extremely prepared and executed the project well. They understood the vision, and were able to put together my dream closet. They even finished the job early, taking only 2 days to complete the install although they were scheduled to complete it in 3 days. My husband knew they were perfect for the job, because the first thing Erik did was tape the plans and renderings on each wall, so he and Luke had visual guides for every space. Very organized, thorough, and efficient! I had such a horrible experience with my Elfa closets (another Container Store product) being installed by Ace Hardware, that I was going to cancel my Preston order. I am so thrilled that Sophia helped me understand that the Preston install would be different, as Penmarc's team truly knew what they were doing. They have worked on Preston and Elfa closets for years. If only my Elfa closets had been installed by Penmarc, Erik, and Luke! It would have saved me a lot of stress, frustration, and heartache. Kudos again to Sophia, Erik, Luke, and Penmarc Inspired Spaces. I will definitely be a referral source for the Preston closet and Container Store.

We stopped by The Container Store, hoping they had something duffle-like that would be suitable for that purpose. The store itself was pretty empty when we pulled up, so we had a couple employees that were extremely helpful! We couldn't track down the desired duffle bag we saw listed on The Container Store website, but the employees led us around the store to look at a handful of options. They even pulled the bags out of the packaging so we could have a better look, given we had some specific requirements in mind. We traveled from one side of the store in search of the perfect bag, and we eventually found one! It held up pretty decently on the total 16 miles haul by mules. I don't often stop by The Container Store in my hometown, but maybe I should considering how delightful the employees were at this one!

I have held off on making a review until now because I like to ensure before I obliterate somebody…read morepublicly, that my findings are accurate and true. Let me first start by relaying an experience I had at this location with my elderly mom in April of 2025. We were in the shoe department and my mom suddenly lost her balance and fell. She was unable to stop herself and violently cracked her head open on the concrete floor. I rushed over to her to provide assistance and began screaming for help. One associate showed up and shortly after, someone of a manager looking status showed up with an iPad and instantly asked me to start filling out an accident report. I asked her if she was crazy because clearly my mom needed assistance and I would like them to call 911. She persisted with the request for the accident report, so annoyed, I began to fill it out on her iPad while I sat behind my mom trying to hold her up because she looked like she was going to pass out. She was bleeding from the head. The other associate brought a motorized cart and helped me get her into the cart. Because nobody bothered to call Emergency Services even after I requested it two separate times, I drove her to the emergency room myself. I would say that this probably wasted about 20 minutes of valuable time and I mentioned that because my mom is still feeling the effects of her fall 8 months later. When I reached out to Walmart corporate, they were unwilling to do anything. I didn't even receive what I would consider to be well wishes for recovery. I tell the story now because something very similar happened to another individual at the same location yesterday. She was also elderly and fell and broke her clavicle. Supposedly, nobody came to help her as well and she ended up having to take her own groceries out to her car. We have also witnessed another incident where an elderly woman fell just outside the store in the crosswalk of the parking lot. People were crowded around her and thankfully somebody called emergency services, but in the meantime, there was not one single Walmart badge to be found. This location, if you are not familiar with it, is located in a predominantly retirement community. It is an unfortunate fact that we encounter elderly individuals that fall relatively frequently in this community. It is absolutely abhorrent and disgusting that a large retailer like Walmart cannot provide its customers with at least somewhat respectable assistance. I don't know if this is just an issue locally on the individuals that this location is hiring as employees or if this is a company-wide deficiency, but regardless, it is unacceptable. I am 47 years old and it is wildly depressing to consider the future of my husband and I when we can see now that compassion and basic human decency isn't evident. This location needs to do much, much better... otherwise, I suspect they will have a sizeable lawsuit in their future.
