Whenever I asked a question, I was met with cold stares and short, snappy responses that made it feel like I was inconveniencing them. The room was clean, but the air conditioning barely worked. It only pushed out weak air and took nearly two hours just to lower the temperature by about two degrees, making the room uncomfortable. The bathroom was even more disappointing. The shower door didn't fit properly, and I nearly cut my hand trying to adjust it. The shower head only dribbled water instead of providing decent pressure, making what should have been a relaxing shower frustrating instead. A clean room isn't enough when the service is poor and basic amenities don't function properly. Would I stay here again or recommend this hotel to anyone? Absolutely not.

They do not seem to care about Bonvoy Elite benefits. No benefits offered since this is a franchise property. Room was filthy! Hair everywhere, bathroom floor, counter and shower. Dust covered nightstands. The clean staff really needs to step it up. After complaining about the filth. The room was better, but the corners still had dust bunnies. Multiple times I saw a housekeeper sitting on beds looking at his phone. The overall attitude of the property is that they don't care. Going back to the Marriott Beachwood.

After a quick overnight stay during a recent business trip to Cleveland, our team made our way down just before breakfast wrapped up. Service runs from 6:30-9:30 AM, and we slid in at about 9:15 AM, right as things were winding down. Only one other guest was finishing up, so the breakfast rush had clearly passed. The star of the show here is always the made-to-order omelet station. I went with a veggie omelet and added diced ham, and it turned out exactly how you want an omelet to be--fresh, fluffy, and cooked perfectly. The hot bar still had a few options available. I skipped the bacon and sausage this time but grabbed some breakfast potatoes. Unfortunately, arriving near the end of service meant they had cooled down a bit. I also grabbed an English muffin and ran it through the toaster twice to get it just right. Mission accomplished--crispy on the outside and warm inside. The fruit selection was simple--mostly cantaloupe and honeydew--but still a nice lighter option to round out breakfast. The only real drawback during our stay was that the air conditioning in our room wasn't functioning properly, which made the room a little uncomfortable overnight. Still, if you've stayed at Embassy Suites before, you know the breakfast alone is a solid perk, and the omelet station continues to be the highlight. Tip: If you want the hottest food options, arrive earlier in the breakfast window.

The location was convenient, with easy access to the highway and only about a 25-minute drive to downtown Cleveland. There are also plenty of restaurants and shopping options nearby, which made it easy to find things to do and places to eat. Our room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained, with a spacious bathroom that we especially appreciated. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with fresh cookies and bottled water, which was a thoughtful touch after a day of traveling. Throughout our stay, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The only downside was the restaurant downstairs where we had breakfast. They were frequently out of several menu items, the service was quite slow, and the food itself was disappointing compared to the rest of the hotel experience. Despite the breakfast issues, we would definitely stay here again in the future. The hotel was comfortable, conveniently located, and the staff made us feel welcome. Next time, we'll simply plan to enjoy breakfast elsewhere.

The room was clean and appeared to be generally well maintained. However, there were several issues: 1) TV didn't work 2) Toilet intermittently ran all the time (Ever try falling asleep to that sound?) 3) Nearby elevator hummed loudly every time it ran (Made the toilet noise seem tame by comparison) 4) Glass barn door to the bathroom rattled and made noise every time it was opened and closed (How can anyone sleep through all of these noises?) My breakfast experience had some issues too. The menu listed 3 pancakes for $12. I ordered those for dine-in. Instead, I received a take-out container with 2 pancakes for $10. That was a 25% higher price per pancake than was listed on the menu. I then requested a plate and real silverware from the cashier so I could eat the pancakes in the dining room. On a positive note, the hotel offers coffee and refrigerated bottles of water in the lobby 24 x 7. Will I stay at the Indigo Hotel again? Probably not, considering there are several other similarly priced and higher rated hotels in the same area.

The Aloft Cleveland Beachwood was clean, the staff was friendly, and while it wasn't the Chicago Aloft, I would definitely return to this location. Upon arrival, I checked in and was placed on the second floor, where I found my room with ease. I then decided to head downstairs around 9:20pm to sit by the pool (as I was told the pool was open until 10 & the gym is 24 hr), but when I tried the doors to the gym and pool area, they seemed to be locked. I sat in the courtyard instead and browsed online for some dinner (see Agave & Rye). I wasn't super impressed with the decor of the room, it felt very much like an 8 year old's superhero bedroom, but I can't deny that the hotel as a whole felt very clean and I appreciated that I had a mini fridge in the room. It seems mini fridges are becoming less and less common in hotels, so I'm always relieved when one is provided. I was only in town for one night, and while I was disappointed that I didn't get to use the pool or the gym due to the doors being locked, I was happy to have a clean room and a comfy bed to sleep in. *I loved the pool table and hot cocoa bar in the lobby! I think it's so important that hotels provide guests with a space to socialize and engage with one another.
