I purchased three types of chocolates--chocolate-covered raisins, chocolate-covered pretzels, and turtles/pecan clusters--and I enjoyed the taste of all of them.

The ice cream counter is so retro that it's a huge part of the nostalgic experience. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They told me everything I wanted to know about the business. I saw chocolate-covered almond barks, cashew barks, raisin clusters, peanut clusters, coconut clusters, nuts, buttercreams, cherries, turtles, caramels, peanut butters, potato chips, pretzels, etcetera. This store also offered other businesses' treats such as candy bars, tootsie rolls, licorice, gummies, ice cream sandwiches, and even pierogies. This store also had a small restaurant area with seats and booths. The menu listed sandwiches, soups, ice cream sodas, sundaes, and milkshakes. My husband wondered about the "braunschweiger" sandwich. I asked the two employees what braunschweiger was, and an employee replied that the meat is made out of liver, but the teenaged employees could not operate the meat-slicing machine. I selected four small containers of chocolate-covered turtles, cherries, raisins, and pretzels. The total price was $39. The employee processed my payment, put my chocolates in bags, and thanked me. At home, I ate the chocolates. The turtles did not appear to contain much caramel, but all of the chocolates tasted very good.

An employee kindly greeted me and told me about a 50%-off clearance. I felt surprised that many shelves were empty and that they had much Easter candy in stock. I selected a 24-piece box of assorted milk chocolates and one raisin cluster for a total of about $19. Later I ate these chocolates at home and rate them as 4.5 stars. During my visit, I also ordered an Egg Carton Ice Cream Sampler that consisted of my choice of six flavors of Perry's ice creams for $13 plus a tip. Perry's Ice Cream is a family-owned ice-cream manufacturer in New York. Clark Candies's menu listed 11 flavors of premium ice creams, 1 flavor of sherbet, and 2 dairy-free flavors as well as sundaes, cool pops, and more. I ate the Bourbon Caramel Pecan, Cookie Dough, Mint-Ting-a-Ling, Peanut Butter S'mores, Rainbow, and Super Hero, and I really enjoyed them. I appreciated that covered outdoor seating was available, and it protected us pretty well from the rainy weather. I recommend Clark Candies for sweet treats for yourself, gifts for others, and for fundraisers.

Other than that, they do a lovely job on small & large orders. I suspect they're probably really the best for larger quantities and plan to use them for an upcoming anniversary party. The Buckeyes (5 stars) tasted very peanut-buttery, and even my husband commented that he liked them. One cinnamon graham (4.5 stars) was milk chocolate, and the other was white chocolate, and I enjoyed the flavors. The plain pretzel (4.5 stars) was a rod that was covered in a very wide layer of caramel and chocolate. The gourmet apple (3.5 stars) was a Granny Smith apple that was large, crisp, and juicy, and it was covered in caramel, milk chocolate, and pecans.
