Since moving to Lodi Township 42 years ago, we have only had occasional need for products or…read moreservices from Diuble, but each occasion has been satisfactory. Last week, Brenda and Todd each provided such prompt and competent service they deserve special recognition. I spoke to Brenda mid-afternoon on Thursday, May 12, describing a problem with our riding lawn mower (worked perfectly all of last season and started easily the day before I called but when I tried to release the brake, the engine would die).  I suspected the interlock requiring the brake to be set. Not only did Brenda accurately relay to Todd my description (which became obvious when speaking with Todd the next day}, she said she could have the unit picked up the next day, Friday May 13.  Based on prior experience of how busy businesses like Diuble's are in the spring, I had expected a couple weeks delay just for you to pick it up. She also said she would ask the technician to at least quickly check the unit in an attempt to identify the problem. We did not hear or see the truck and trailer arrive.  The first thing we heard was a loud backfire from the unit.  By the time I could greet Todd, he had diagnosed and repaired the problem which was no mean feat.  A splice of wires I had made years ago to bypass the interlock otherwise requiring someone to be on the seat to engage the blades  or transmission had loosened enough to not make contact.   However, the splice was concealed by tape which therefore appeared perfectly fine. But "Detective Todd" was not deceived by appearances and quickly found the problem. So instead of needing to retain a lawn service for a month (which I expected to be the case when the problem occurred},  I mowed our lawn later Friday afternoon, less than 24 hours after first speaking to Brenda !!!!!!!!! Our thanks to everyone at Diuble Equipment, but especially Brenda and Todd. Perry and Denise Kantner

I'm not typically one to plan ahead. But I do know that the time when you need a snowblower, is the…read moreworst time to try and buy a snowblower. So we bought this house. And it's a good house. But it is on a corner lot and it has a lot of sidewalk. I mean, a lot of sidewalk. The older I get, the more shoveling hurts. Plus, I feel like clearing snow is something I should be able to do myself, instead of hiring it out. Much like mowing the lawn. Call me old school. Long story short, I needed a snowblower. So I went online. I did some research. I thought long and hard about my snowblower needs, my budget, and what kind of person I actually am. Turns out, I'm not someone who wants to mess with internal combustion engines, or gas tanks, or carburetors. Which means I wanted a battery powered snowblower. After finding the Toro single stage snowblower, I happened to stumble onto the fact that there was a local shop where I could buy one. Thank you Google (sorry Yelp) because I'm still new to Michigan and Ann Arbor and had no idea the Weingartz was even a place! So I picked up the phone, spoke to a lovely man, told him what I wanted, and gave my credit card number. I asked about contactless pick up, and when I pulled up, the gent wheeled my brand new snowblower out into the parking lot and loaded up in my car. No muss. No fuss. Easy peasy. And priced competitively with the big box stores, all while buying local. The machine is wonderful. It throws snow like a champ. My back is happy. My wallet is happy. My neighbors who walk are happy. My community is just a teeny tiny bit better because I kept my purchase to a Michigan based business. I hope it lasts for a thousand years. But if it does not, I'll go back to Weingartz first and pick up the latest model.

They're really nice when you're buying something, but the service area needs some serious help. It's very frustrating (especially for a mower still under warranty so there's not a lot of choice for service providers). I wish I would have purchased my mower elsewhere.

I drive over an hour to get look at a spartan mower. Overall the experience was great. They took the time to explain everything to me never felt pressured to buy a bigger model. I felt they were strictly giving the information I needed so that I could make an informed decision. Price was the best I found around. I added a few small upgrades at a super reasonable price. All the staff I met were very polite. The other shoppers that stopped while I was there seemed very happy with their service as well. I never thought I would come back after my purchase just because of the drive but I think I was wrong. This place is definitely a great mom and pop shop that I wish we had in my home town.

After using the bet to search for a repair center, came upon this small, independent shop. I always use "local" when I can and try to stay away from the huge, big box companies. Took this saw to them & within 15 minutes, Len had the saw repaired plus he patiently answered all my questions. When i asked what the charge was, he stated that there would be "no charge" as he also learned about my saw. This would help him should he ever encounter this item/problem again. I have a 2 lawn mowers & 1 snow blower needing repair & this "local" company WILL be getting all my business in the future. I thank the owner for hiring a great staff of people & for running a fantastic company. You have made a lifelong customer !!
