Foodcourt fare. Great selections. Build your combo. Generous portion. Everything from rice, noodles, veggies to meat to seafood. Very tasty. Fresh. Peak hour line up. Fast service. Energetic. What's not to like.

I just needed to pick up a quick lunch to eat later so here I am on the lower level Food Court of the Scarborough Town Centre. Tucked away in one of the corners is Bourbon Street Grill. A 3-choice meal (Noodle or Rice, Vegetables, and a Meat Item) is $10.50 taxes included. I wanted less rice and more vegetables; just ask and they're happy to do it. Service was quick and the food is good.

Located in the food court at Scarborough Town Centre. They offer free samples of their meats. We decided to try the Bourbon Chicken w/ Rice and Mushrooms. Serving size is generous and total came to about $8. The chicken was slightly sweet and smokey. Yum. I appreciate that our meal was not overly salty. Employees are quick. Bourbon Street Grill is a nice option to have.

I wouldn't say I've had Cajun boiled seafood at many places prior, but I think I know where the bar…read moreis. Captain's Boil, the formulaic chain would be the floor and the one I really enjoyed, Lobster Boil Seafood House, in North York would be the ceiling. What I'm about to say about Sea Salt would definitely leave their management a bit "salty". Unequivocally, Sea Salt sits in the deep basement of the pecking order. Sea Salt's standing was easily determined after my first spoonful of the seafood broil. The sauce was their downfall as they went overboard with the of garlic and not to mention they burnt the garlic. As the Cajun sauce is the soul of a seafood boil, their sauce literally ruined the entire dish and experience. The combo we ordered came with fried calamari and shrimp and fries. The fried calamari and shrimp lacked a bit of "salt", which is rather ironic considering the restaurant's name and neither of the sauce complimented (sweet chilli and ranch) the calamari well. The fries were what you expected it to be. But a little bit too much sauce. The one thing that I liked was you could choose to have the Turkish Salaam Cola as part of your combo drink choice. I didn't think it was all that different from regular cola, but it was nice to try. Service is quite slow here and not super attentive. We had to flag them down various times to get things that should have been provided. We weren't given enough plates to start and we had to request for bibs and disposable gloves. These are pretty standard things at other boil places. In general, the appetizers were better than the seafood boil. The portion of the combo was pretty good so we packed some of it to go. But to put things into perspective, the following day I reheated the food for lunch, and my two kids didn't even touch it (with one of them who had experienced Lobster Boil Seafood house). That tells you something!

You go girls I love it. Came here for dinner and had a hard time choosing what to order as there are so many good options on the menu. Really wanted the calamari & shrimp appetizer but opted in for the shrimp bucket and the fish and chips. I also got a coconut mango drink which was super refreshing and delicious. I thought the fish tacos had a kick of spice added but they were still good. The fries were crispy, which I loved but the highlight for me has to be the shrimp. I loveeeeed the sea salt sauce. Though I usually don't like corn, I loved this one and enjoyed the meal. Would come back here for more for sure!

Despite seated near the door, it was well insulated and I never felt cold. The seating is still bar-like, with metal chairs over something more comfortable. The menu offers both HK-style cafe dishes and western seafood-oriented dishes. Staff appears to understand limited Chinese, and they double checked what our group ordered for drinks. I decided to go for the baked seafood spaghetti with cold Dutch tea (both hot and cold drinks are at the same price!). The presentation was a bit messy but flavourful. I wish the staff gave extra plate for me to place the empty oyster and clam shell rather than pushing them to the edge of my plate. The staff never gave us any water until we asked. The good thing is, they never rushed us to pay and our group chatted for a long time. Price wise, it was excellent. Service wise, could be improved.

Hmmm where do I start?…read more The waiter seemed great but clueless. He didn't really know how to take an alcoholic drink order. He didn't know the flavour differences in each of the sauces for the boil. Seems like you just have to know what you want and order it. They seemed short staffed there. Getting anyone's attention was difficult. We got a pound of the shrimp and a pound of clams. Nothing to rave about. Not amazing but not horrible. The sauce seemed one dimensional and flat. For this type of meal, I want a flavour explosion but Good Catch fell short. Not sure if this is the place I'd hit again if I wanted a mean seafood boil.

Made a reso for 5pm on a Friday night and thank god I did because the resto was FULL by the time we left around 6:40. What we ordered for the table: Brazilian cheese puffs Cornbread Caribbean style braised beef Jerk chicken Macaroni pie Brazilian cheese puffs We liked this better than the cornbread but the cornbread was still great. The cheese puffs had a nice saltiness to them from the cheese. They were soft, chewy and bouncy. Overall great flavour. Cornbread This was almost dessert like. The texture was so soft and buttery. Not like a typical cornbread. It was drenched in butter and you could slice your fork through it so easily. Again great flavour but we preferred the cheese puffs. The cornbread was surprisingly also filling. They brought out the breads first before the mains. Jerk chicken Great flavour, juicy and fall off the bone. There were 3 of us and each piece was a perfect size for us. The pumpkin rice it came on was a nice touch and tasted delicious. I can't remember the coleslaw but I'm sure it was good lol. There was a lot going on on my plate. Braised beef This was the star of the show. My friends thought the jerk chicken was the star until they finally tried the braised beef. We all agreed this was amazing. So tender and melt in your mouth. The gravy/pepper sauce will get you though! It was spicy but didn't take away from the flavour. I like the addition of collard. This dish was definitely giving elevated oxtail meal from your local Caribbean shop lol. Macaroni pie Honestly it was good and paired well with the rest of the dishes we got. Not sure if it was really memorable but I think I would order it again for the table. I mean how can you not like a Mac pie esp when you're having Caribbean cuisine? All the dishes came out at a fair paced time. I will ABSOLUTELY be coming back. I'm happy I got to try most of the dishes I wanted to. I defs need to try both desserts next time. An amazing dining experience and my friends agreed. My only nitpick complaint is the music was too loud lol. We were sat right by the speaker and really had to talk loudly to hear each other. Other than that, service was friendly and quick and I'll be back! :)

It was crispy on the outside & the cauliflower was soft on the inside. Hubby ordered the Baton Rouge burger & I ordered the gnocchi with tomato sauce & no cheese. Hubby's burger he said was good & the fries were also good. I sampled one of his french fries. LOL. The gnocchi with mushrooms was yummy. The sauce was rich & flavourful but not overly salty. I couldn't finish it all so I packed the rest to take home. Service: We had a lovely lady as our wait staff & she took our orders. I requested the gnocchi with no cheese & with tomato sauce since I can't have dairy. They easily accommodated my allergy. Some places aren't great with modifying for food allergies. So I was surprised at how easy it was. The food came out pretty quickly which was also nice. Ambiance: It's a nice place. There are lots of group tables sized for 8 people with banquette seating & wooden chairs. The colours are cherry woods & red upholstery. Washrooms are on the same floor as the dining room. There is also a bar on one side of the restaurant. Not sure when I'll be back in the area, but this place is a solid restaurant option. At lunch time the office workers nearby came in around 12.15pmish. I'd come back again if I'm in the area.

This offer let us choose from 5 flavours - Captain's boil (mix of all the flavours), garlic, lemon pepper, Cajun, and coconut curry, and 4 different spice levels - non spicy, mild, medium, and fire. Captain's boil is definitely an interesting eating experience. You get your food in a bag as the seafood is very saucy. You get plastic gloves and you eat the food with your hands. It can definitely get messy but I guess that's part of the captain's boil experience. All the sauces are packed with flavour and very well seasoned, but a bit too oily for my liking. I'm a huge fan of seafood, so I really could not go wrong with any of the options. I tried all the flavours and tried them at the mild and medium spice levels. My favorite flavours in order was captain's boil, garlic, Cajun, coconut curry and lemon pepper. Overall I really enjoyed the food.

The food was fresh and well-made, and reminded me of visiting family in Italy who have been making simple and delicious meals from scratch for generations. Because of the affordable price, I was concerned about portion size but they were generous and considerably larger than they appear in the menu's photos. I ordered two main dishes (each main is one protein and two sides for $13) and an extra two veggie-based sides (5) for two people at the end of a long day, and it was more than enough. On an average day, I think I would be satisfied with just a main - the sides included in the main are good dishes in their own right, no filler. I will order again or, post-covid, it would be a perfect to-go option for the park. Delivery was quick, ingredients were whole, and flavour was strong.
