We learned quite a bit about the different liquors they were spotlighting, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Prices here are formidable. I bought 2 4-packs Disco Ninja (Reno) and Queen of Queens (Portland). $51.00! US beer is not tariffed so why the high prices? There is an okay selection but these are damn near draft prices at the pub. read more

Eli is the man! Kind and attentive service! Felt like I was more of a friend than a customer. The perfect shop for bourbon collectors! My husband has become an avid collector of rare and fine bourbons over the last two years thus I've been with him to many a bottle shop in that time. This is hands down the best bottle shop we've ever been to and we have made several trips out of the way just to stop in. They always have a fabulous selection of hard to find bottles at very reasonable prices. This shop doesn't do insane mark ups like a lot of independent bottle shops which means you can find rare bottles at close to MSRP. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a mailing list for announcements of new stock as well. We come for the bourbon but their wine selection is also top notch. read more

Disappointing visit there. They used to have fairly reasonable prices. I bought CYPB there several times and didn't feel ripped off. But they have jumped the shark. They are selling a Matsui bottle for $149 which is listed everywhere for $79.99. I understand the markup on rarities and allocated. But a $79 Japanese whiskey for $149? read more

Each time my wife and I come here, we always are greeted happily and offered assistance with whatever spirit we are looking for! The selection is always above par and the staff are very knowledgeable and able to point us to the eye or bourbon that suits our taste! Great work! Time to stop shopping at this place. I've tailored off over the years, based on prices or more correctly lack of them. If you don't mind the guessing game or care how much you're spending this place is for you. When my gf mentioned the lack of prices to the staff on duty he answered "he didn't know why. Maybe it's because he wants you to talk to us?". When we left, we told him we didn't find anything that struck our fancies. His answer was "oh, sure you did, she just doesn't want to ask for prices". While it's true we didn't feel like asking for prices on everything, being rude about it was the icing on the cake. I can go to Sunset Mart in Rocklin or Roco in West Sac and get treated MUCH better. Plus they both have comparable (if not better) selections. read more

This place is much nicer inside than you would expect. They did a good job remodeling it. Good selection and prices are comparable to any grocery store. They're store hours are surprisingly late which is good for that late beer run, but worry that it will cut into their profits and time. I hope they last but unfortunately the location is lousy. A nice young couple with a baby runs it so I prefer to help out a small business. Give em' a try! Oh.. and they sell lottery tickets/scratchers. read more

Great place, we visited here last weekend and they have exactly what we needed. I especial love the chat box on there site to see if they have the whiskey I needed first before making the trip. Great experience, price is reasonable but not as reasonable as Total wine & more or Bevmo. But it's better then most liquor store out there. Plus if your buying liquor then your going to spend some money. Do your research first before buying at one place if prices is a problem before giving out negative reviews. I've seen this place a few times driving by so I told my mom to go check it out as my parents are really into cigars and bourbon. Well she went in today and there Was a younger male working the store. He obviously did not have much knowledge of the products that he was selling and he probably was just covering for the owner or other knowledgeable employees. When she asked about different products he pretty much gave one line answers not going into any detail about the products or even had any suggestions. I understand not everybody is going to know everything about the products they're selling but he could have at least said he didn't know maybe got her information and had somebody who had more knowledge contact her about the products that she was asking about. She walked out feeling like it was a glorified liquor store With no pricing posted on any of the liquor. This is too bad because we live only a few minutes away and this could have been a cool spot to buy our cigars and liquors and wine. She asked about the tasting and he didn't even promote it. Another employee, an older woman came in and could hear their conversation and didn't try to help out. Really no need to go onn about, just disappointed it didn't live up to the other good review. read more

Great choices when it comes to drinks: hard liquor and beer and the like. Amazing amazing layout, with a walk in fridge for beers, a wall of fantastic scotch, bourbon gin, etc. The list goes on. They even have one of my favorite scotches for a tad less then Bevmo or TotalWine which is fantastic! Friendly staff who are happy to help, or just let you wander and browse the extensive collection. The biggest let down is the "emporium", its two shelves in a corner, with maybe 2 dozen types. Not anywhere near some of the other shops in the area. Most of them being above the $12 a stick range. A few lower, but by that, I mean 4 or 5 choices. Still, a really great one stop that almost always beats Bev. Its a cool shop that I truly hope stays around, as its down the street and I've deffinently made more than 2 emergency cigar runs. Its a fun stop, so deffinently check it out! They deserve the business, and hopefully as time goes on, they add to their sections and improve what they've got. read more
