Such a great spot, especially before a show at the Aronoff Center. The burgers were so good and a great size. I'm a sucker for ranch and theirs was exactly what I was hoping for. The mocktails were delicious, and my husband loved both the Old Fashioned and the seasonal chocolate-covered one they had for Valentine's. It was busy and a bit on the smaller side, but service was quick and attentive..we had drinks, an app, and dinner and were in and out in under an hour. We stopped in before a show near by for dinner around 545 on a weekday. The place was happening, but not full. We were seated right away, but the service was very slow. Took us about 25 minutes to get our drinks and then another 30 for our burger and chicken/waffles. Can't say we were checked on often either. In fact, we couldn't even wave down our server when needed. The food, on the other hand, was magnificent. The truffle and Gouda burger was delicious! The flavors went so well together and it was also cooked perfectly. The bacon jam added so much. I'd 100% order this again! Chicken and waffles was great too. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Ambiance is that of a high end tavern, so nothing special but nice enough. I had the Calabrian Chicken and Burrata entree which comes with Smashed Fingerling Potatoes, Crispy Chicken, Calabrian Chili, Burrata, Crispy Prosciutto, and Broccolini. The restaurant is plush (tufted 'leather' seating and fancy chandeliers) and fun with animal heads (pretty sure they're not real) on the walls. Our waitress was very welcoming. Because we are good stewards of Burger Week, we ordered Dynamite Shrimp to start. This was a solid app with a kick. I also ordered a Bourbon Espresso Martini. I opted for the Burger Week special - Boursin Burger: Pretzel Bun, 100% beef patty, boursin cheese, black pepper aioli, arugula, candied red onion, sautéed mushrooms and tomato. Yum! Mark ordered the In 'N Out - American Cheese, pickles, mustard, fancy sauce, flat top onions on a brioche bun. We lived in California for seven years. I think he was getting a bit nostalgic. Only the burgers come with a small side of fries. $8 for bread. We ordered the Gouda burger ($20) and wild mushroom truffle spaghetti with prosciutto crumbles. We went to Bourbon's Craft Kitchen & Bar on the last night of Cincy Burger Week. I had read through all the burgers being offered that week and their Boursin Burger was high on my list of ones that I wanted to try. The restaurant is really cute with splashes of bright colors and lots of natural sunlight. I love the modern chandeliers. Between the decor and the downtown location, I was surprised they were playing country music; it really didn't hit the vibe. Our server was helpful and attentive and we even had two other people (I assume managers) check in on our table. The only snag we ran into is that I asked for no mushrooms and they still came on my burger. My husband and I both ordered the specialty burger: boursin cheese, black pepper aioli, arugula, candied red onion, mushrooms, and tomato on a pretzel bun. It was a bit messy to eat, but totally worth it! Before we left, the manager stopped back for a 2nd time and gave us a suggestion of what to try the next time we came in. Let me start by saying all of the appetizers we tried were sooo good! The shrimp was one of the best "dynamite/ bang-bang" shrimps I've ever had. The batter was absolutely delicious! My friends loved the poutine and the potstickers were good as well. The espresso martini was your typical flavor. I really liked the dry rub wings but thought they could lighten up on the dry rub. It was almost too much of the seasoning on those. Some of my friends tried the spiritless raspberry margarita and said it tasted spiked although it wasn't and they thought the salted caramel waffle and ice cream was just okay. I got the cheesecake and loved it! The only negative was it took 30 plus minutes for the cheesecake to come out and it wasn't chilled. Overall, I would come back again. This location had just opened so we were a little nervous, but the food & service did not disappoint. We started with the dynamite shrimp which was amazing! I chose a different burger in Cincinnati than I did in Middletown; the truffle & Gouda burger. It was super yummy! Their cocktail menu is upscale, had the old fashioned made with buffalo trace bourbon. The ambiance was really neat with red leather booths and really cool chandeliers! I'm not joking when I say this is the best burger in the city. They are always SO juicy but not sloppy. They season them very well and the toppings/bun are premium and fresh. Cooked to medium every time. Highly recommend the All American and the Grippos burger! They have sweet potato waffle fries and "crunchy coating" type fries that are always fresh and very crispy. They also season these very well with salt. There is an extensive liquor and beer selection and their cocktail menu is pretty good! On top of it all, the service is fantastic and I like the atmosphere! A little bit of an interesting choice with the slight country theme mixed with upscale, but it oddly works.
