Came to Cincy for a quick out of town trip and tried The Filson before heading over to a Reds game. I got the Caesar salad with salmon and that salad could've fed 3 people in total, it was HUGE! I had to share with my dad. My dad got the cilantro chicken with mashed potatoes. My party finished their food by the time I got mine. Disappointing. The bright spot was for my son what a generous portion of broccoli that came with his meal. Eventually the remade burger arrived, a little overcooked (from what I ordered). However, throughout the entire experience the service was able to shine above the food or the speed. If I were to list reasons to come back: 1) the views, 2) the service and atmosphere 3) the food. A great spot pregame or a post game bite. 7/10 would recommend. read more

A food runner dropped my meal on my pants when handing me the hot plate and didn't care. He didn't even tell the server. I really hope he gets fired because he should not have a job. Yummmmm! This place was so good. Came here before a bengals game. We split a Caesar salad to start. I'm very picky with my salad and this was actually amazing. The lettuce was coded perfectly in the dressing actually tasted good. The breadcrumbs were just right, not too hard where they break the teeth but not soggy by any means. Size of the lettuce was also perfect. I got the classic burger and it tasted amazing! The brioche bread, with mayo and lettuce and all the toppings were absolutely amazing. Fries were also good! I've been wanting to stop into The Filson for some time. After attending the sold out Savanah Banana game, I decided there was no use going to my car and sitting for an hour so I'll just stop and get some food and a beer. I stopped in and it surprising not busy. I sat outside which was a great place to chill. My server was very nice and checked on me regularly throughout my visit. I decided to go with the cheeseburger and fries but I subbed cheddar for American cheese. I must say this ranks up there as probably one of the best burger and fry experiences in the Cincinnati area. Everything was hot and fresh. The only disappointment which was minimal was there was no onion on the burger. Burger and onion is a must in my opinion. Next time I will know to ask to add. I've been here a few times and always enjoy the food. Also love the space! Garage windows, a great patio, and gorgeous views of the riverfront. They have great burgers and seasoned fries. I will say that I came here for burger week, and their burger special was well done only, we didn't have the option to prepare it any differently, which did affect us fully enjoying the burger special. But on a normal day, this isn't an issue. I'm so sad that the shrimp pizza (I believe it had a Cajun sauce) is no longer on the menu, that was my favorite thing here. Bring it back please! I have also tried the breaded chicken breast with arugula, angel hair pasta and balsamic sauce, and enjoyed it. Same with the wings, but they are pricey here. Good beer selection as well. read more

Easy to find near Cincinnati's Banks area, directly behind the Freedom Center and near several Banks parking options. The interior is hip cafe modern with loads of eat-in, bar, or outdoor options. I was greeted and seated right away and within minutes my drink order arrived and lunch order taken. They clearly know how to do deal with a time limited lunch guest. Given it's a work day, the bar wasn't sampled but the drink options were really interesting. I ordered the buratta salad with blackened salmon. The salad tasted great and as good as it looked. Nice amount of the cheese and the salmon cooked perfectly - moist with perfect seasoning. I ordered bread pudding with sauce to go as I was totally full but need to sample the sweets! I think my afternoon meetings are already looking better! So, in summary, great space, service and vibe. Totally works for lunch but I also see this as a date night option. Really good burger and great service. Our server introduced himself and said this is so and so and he is training me. I thought this was a great training method and had never heard this before. The server in training was able take care of all our needs and the trainer assisted in carrying the load. They have food specials every day, drink specials and outdoor seating. The location is right on the river so the view is nice if you like to eat outdoors. We went to a Reds game and noticed they were open about 11:30 PM.
