Avoid D&D for firewood…read more I purchased 2 cords of firewood which ended up being about 1/2 cord short. See pictures. I have 6 racks that hold 4'x8' each (3 racks = 1 cord). Result: 4x full, 1x half full, 1x empty. Owner refused to even discuss it. He insisted that their loose measurement is always correct. Didn't want to look at my security video, didn't want to look at what I received in person, nothing. D&D's claim is that 6.25 cu yds of loose firewood equals 1 cord when stacked. Volume of loose/thrown is an estimate; you don't know until its stacked. They are shooting low to begin with: consensus is 180 cu ft loose ~= 1 stacked cord; they err on the low side with 168cu ft/cord. Not worth going to small claims, MA state law offers no recourse. Delivery driver was great; manager from location near me looked in person and agreed it was very short. The quality of the firewood is fine.

Derick agreed and then proceeded to do otherwise. When I tried to correct what he was doing, he would argue with me. Finally, when he piled the soil that he dug out onto one side of the pond, fundamentally changing the grade in my yard, making it impossible to get the pond I wanted and refusing to regrade my yard to fix it, I had to tell him that I didn't want him working on my pond anymore. He got very angry and I was frightened. Thankfully, another contractor was there to help me. Derick drove away but then made a u-turn just past my house and came back pounding on my door. I had to tell him that if he didn't leave that I would call the police. I had to hire someone else to re-grade my yard and finish the pond.

They are dead and were always dead! He has refused to give me my money back! He also collected over 900 dollars from me, telling me that he would use some of the money towards my spring clean up.Some of the money was going to be for snow removal what a joke! We had some snow,but he never plowed or even checked to see if I needed help! I had to call someone else and pay them for snow removal!! He refuses to give me any money back and has blocked me!! I am 70 years old and on a fixed income which he knew but he does not care. I have learned a valuable lesson, get everything in writing!!I am out 900 plus the $165 dollars that he charged me for the dead plants and the labor to plant them! Beware of NETZERO!!! I have photos of the dead plants however I can not upload for some reason!!
