prices are unreasonable. I had two holes in a drip line. The holes were within 2 feet of each other. It took 15 minutes to complete the repair. I was charged $105 for the visit and $42.50 for two men and unreasonable amounts for parts. When I questioned the charges I was told that I must pay for overtime. this repair was done during normal daylight hours. read more

I believe that this is the supply chain issues and staffing problems that many businesses face and not necessarily within Boston Irrigation's control. Boston Irrigation was VERY, VERY RESPONSIVE, made numerous efforts to address my concerns, and have been very generous. The team just came to winterize my system, and I wanted to take a moment to say how much I appreciate this company, they are truly top-notch. First, communication from Gabriella is top-notch. I get emails from her several weeks in advance, giving me choices for dates and times for maintenance. Gentle reminders the day before so I won't miss the team. The result is that the team arrived as scheduled, and with a big smile! I have lived in my house for over 20 years, and I have added new trees and shrubs, etc. to my property every year, which has required irrigation updating. I had a hose malfunction, looked online and found Boston Irrigation, called Saturday morning, and Fabio was out to fix it later that same afternoon. He was great with communication, updating me on his timeline, then very knowledgeable and helpful when he arrived. He assessed the problem and was very straight forward about how minor it was to fix, asking if there was anything else about the sprinkler system he could help me with so I'd get more bang for my buck on the hourly labor fee. I have had them come out so far for a winterizing, and then today for a repair to my system and setup. Their tech, Brandon, was awesome! Update: Still 5/5 but I had them come back to winterize my system. Fabio did a great job - inspected each head so I could take inventory of what fixes I'll need in the spring; drained the line in the basement, etc. I assume this is all pretty standard. But when the bill came, it was notably cheaper than the other places I researched AND came with a self-addressed, stamped envelope! What small business stamps their return envelopes for you anymore? We inherited a neglected Hunter system with a house purchase. I found these guys on Yelp. Boston Irrigation called me right back and scheduled an appointment the next business day. They arrived on time and spent time thoroughly investigating my Hunter system. They quickly identified the broken parts and changed them out. I asked several companies to quote me a price for turning on my sprinkler system and checking for leaks, and Boston Irrigation was the only one to reply. I made an appointment and one guy came over, tried turning on my sprinkler system, but discovered it was not working. He spent some time trying to look for the valves with a tracer but couldn't find them because the control wire was pulled off a valve. He told me they would give me an estimate to come back with a crew to dig up the lawn to look for the valves. He didn't charge me for the visit so I thought it was pretty nice of them since they spent some time looking for the valves. read more

Before adding new sod to 2 corners of my lawn I wanted to extend my irrigation system before the new grass was applied. Searching Yelp I found Boston Irrigation and contacted them, they were quick to respond and also schedule a visit (2 days later). Fabio, the owner, arrived on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and assessed the situation. From talking with him it was clear to me he knew his business, knew what make and type of sprinkler heads I already had and therefore what to add to two different zones to maintain a balance in water pressure. With shovel in hand he quickly dug up the soil around existing sprinkler heads on both sides of my driveway to attach new lines for the addition. His work was quick, just what my system needed, and when he gave me the total upon completion for the parts and his labor, I was amazed, he is very reasonable.
